They took excellent care of him during his stay, including taking him on multiple hikes and making sure he got plenty of exercise and enrichment. It was clear when I got home that he was happy, healthy, and well cared for. I really appreciated the level of attention and care they provided, and I would happily recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and loving sitter.”

About: I’ve taken care of many cats since moving to the DMV area in 2022. I started with permitting for some friends in D.C over the holidays, two weeks at a time, and moved on to taking more serious paid positions. I have experience with anxious/traumatized cats who need extra care and affection. I also have experience with senior cats that require special attention and medicine.

“Madeline must be part cat because my little fur ball is VERY shy and she took to Madeline enough on the meet and greet to come up and sniff her and be touched! I knew it was going to be fine and was able to enjoy being away with no worries. She is dependable and conscientious and all that but returning to a happy kitty is the icing on the cake!”

About: Hello! My name is Mary. I am a lifelong pet owner and animal enthusiast. I grew up on a horse farm with dogs, cats, horses, hamsters, and the odd rogue toad, so caring for animals with love and respect is literally second nature. I'm a somatic embodiment coach by trade, so I have a unique skill set for helping animals feel relaxed and comfortable in my care. I have joyously fostered 20+ dogs and cats in their transition to forever homes, and have extensive experience with house and pet sitting. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and breeds, from 6 pound little weasels to 80 pound gentle giants. I have a special place in my heart for seniors (and have experience caring for them.) I am comfortable and experienced with administering medication. Because I work from home online and over zoom, I can accommodate animals that need a shorter window of alone time. I'd be delighted to treat your fur family with all the love and care I would give my own. I look forward to hearing from you! I have my own online business, so my schedule is very fluid and flexible. I love walking dogs and can easily do day or evening walks and stop-bys. I have experience with staying in many different homes and I know that every animal has its own unique routines, needs and rituals that help it feel in flow. I'm very happy to work with your pet in the way they are used to.
“Zsa-Zsa took care of our cat for 2 weeks, visiting twice a day. Our cat developed a good rapport with her during this time. Zsa-Zsa communicated regularly with us and sent lots of photos. She also did some minor tasks that we asked her to do such as watering a few plants and taking in a package. We felt that our house and cat were in great hands. Thank you, Zsa-Zsa!”

“Shanley was a great sitter for our cat Zoey. She knew how to interact with a cautious kitty such as ours, and was very thorough in her reports to us. We also have an extensive plant/garden situation that she helped water and keep an eye on, which was very helpful. We will definitely request her for further trips if she's available!”

“Meli, was super responsive and flexible. We enjoyed meeting her for a quick walk through before our trip. Our cat is typically a scaredy cat and runs away from strangers, but she was curious and open to meet Meli. I think her calming presence put her at ease. We have a regular sitter but she wasn’t available and we had to scramble last minute. Meli was a great surprise. Would book again if needed.”

“Jennifer took fantastic care of our cat Marty while we’re were gone for seven days over the holidays. She is very wonderful in every way; on time, responsible, and so sweet to our pet. I couldn’t recommend her enough.”

“Anais was wonderfully responsive, responsible, and easy to coordinate with when we had her do drop-in visits with our cat while we were on a weekend trip. We would HIGHLY recommend working with her!”

“Melina did such a great job drooping in and feeding my elderly cat, Momo. She was prompt with timing and sent lots of pictures and updates. I could tell that Momo really liked her 🥰 would definitely recommend Melina to anyone!!”

“Cara was so caring, responsive, and also very responsible. I was initially worried about leaving my cat for two weeks but I left him in very good hands with Cara. I especially appreciated all the photos she sent and the little daily updates! My cat loved her. I was able to relax knowing that I had a very sweet and reliable sitter.”

“Elyse took care of my two kittens for just under two weeks and did an amazing job. She was super reliable and communicative. The kittens seemed healthy, happy and relaxed when I got home, so it was obvious they were in good hands. Would definitely request for her help again in the future.”

“This was my first time using Maia as a pet sitter and everything went perfectly. My two cats are normally shy, but they were friendly with Maia during the meet and greet and didn’t hide during her visits, the way they have with other sitters. So I would definitely use Maia again!”

“Vania was so sweet with our 8 mo old puppies! We felt at ease during our travels. She took them on long walks and even gave them a bath since the days were quite warm. Thank you again Vania!”

About: I am a dog lover and lived with dogs my whole life. I have taken care of dogs on and off for the past 8 years including boarding, house-stays, and walks. I currently have pretty flexible schedule and can make my hours fit for you - if there is a time conflict I will make sure to inform you and propose another time (if applicable). I cannot currently board dogs in my home (my dog is going through cancer treatment), but I am happy to do house-stays or walks. I ensure pets have their boundaries respected and I will ask plenty of questions to understand your pet’s personality and potential reactivity.
“Erin was amazing with our generally shy cat. He took to her immediately upon meeting her during our intro session! She provided daily updates while we were away, and he looked very happy in the pictures, and was happy and healthy upon our return. I will definitely try to book her again next time we need a sitter!”

“Huge thank you to Kelly! If you’re looking for a quiet, safe and caring spot for your fur baby look no further. Kelly took care of my two kitty cats while we’re doing some construction at my house and I couldn’t have asked for a more caring person. She absolutely in tune with and wants what’s best for your animal. It took a couple of days for my boys to get comfortable, but then it was very clear that she had made a special connection with them and that made me very happy. :-)”

“We love how thoughtful Kelly is in her approach to taking care of pets and handling so many details to ensure that our Snowy had a wonderful time. Her set-up is top notch and we felt our Snowy was in great hands. Thank you, Kelly.”

“Krishna and her partner provided excellent care, attention and affection for my husky during my stay in S.F. They brought their sweet dog Milo out for meet and greet, all went well and my dog had a great stay. Highly recommended!”

About: I had a dog for 15 years and while we are holding out on getting a new one for a few years till we stop traveling so much, we would love to hang with yours periodically when in town! We have a fenced in yard to throw a ball in (and a six and nine year old who never tire in doing so) and love taking walks to all the local Piedmont parks with a pup. My husband is mildly allergic, so unfortunately only able to take in non shedding, hypoallergenic poodle type mixes. And of course dogs need to be kid friendly, but my kiddoes are very sweet and gentle with dogs and will give the dogs lots of pets and affection in return. My husband and I both predominately work from home so there's always someone around to love on a furry friend or take a break to get outside for a walk. I predominately work from home and I love frequent walks with a pup. We live close to many Piedmont parks which is a great place to go and visit other dogs or just explore some new grounds. I have a fenced yard and loving older gentle children who adore pets. I can crate your dog if desired to sleep, but also have kids that would be very happy to snuggle if preferred. You can trust that we will care for your pups as if they are our very own family dog for the duration of their stay.
About: We've designed our experience a little differently than most. Rather than filling our home with multiple unfamiliar dogs, we intentionally host just one dog (or one family's dogs) at a time. We made this decision because we know separation can be hard. Our goal is to give every guest a calm, relaxing vacation while giving their humans peace of mind knowing their pup has our full attention. My husband Cameron and I have both been around animals our entire lives and have experience with puppies, seniors, bulldogs, and dogs with special needs. We also have two young kids (ages 3 & 6) who absolutely love animals and know how to be gentle and respectful around them. Whether your dog loves hiking, backyard sniff sessions, playing fetch, or simply curling up on the couch for a nap, we'll happily match their pace. We'll also send plenty of photos and updates throughout their stay because we know being away from your dog isn't always easy. We'd love to meet you both! We keep our schedule intentionally flexible so we can build our day around your dog's routine instead of expecting them to adjust to ours. Your dog's safety is our number one priority. Our backyard is fully fenced and we supervise outdoor time closely. Because we have young children, we've already built our home around safety. Medications, chemicals, and anything potentially dangerous stay locked away, and as a gardener I'm always mindful of which plants are safe and which aren't. If your dog joins us for a walk or an adventure, they'll always be on leash and right by our side. They won't be left unattended anytime, ever. We don't take guest dogs to dog parks or introduce them to unfamiliar dogs. We prefer controlled environments where we know exactly what's going on. We know leaving your dog with someone new can feel stressful. We take that responsibility seriously and will care for them like one of our own.
“Asha has been amazing with my pup, Rahi. She communicates super well and genuinely loves dogs. I get pictures and videos through the day and I’m so much at peace leaving my Rahi with her. Highly, highly recommend!!”

About: I'm a very responsible middle-aged woman who works from home and would be happy to care for your fur baby. Eventually I'll get a dog of my own! Our household consists of me and my partner, Rocky. We both grew up with pets, but currently don't have any. I work about 15-25 hours a week from home so I have plenty of time throughout the day for walks around the neighborhood and trips to the Alameda dog park. My partner and I are homebodies and enjoy spending time working on our house and gardening. I have a fenced in yard and several rooms of my house can be sectioned off to allow for large spaces to hang out, if the dog needs it's own space. I also have plenty of room to set up a crate. I do not have any pets. I would love to get a dog, but I travel to Vancouver 4 times a year to visit my mom in long term care and occasionally I have to travel for a week or more for work and I don't want to leave a pet for that long. My partner goes to the office Monday - Friday.
“Chad took excellent care of my young and energetic greyhound with a lot of separation anxiety. When I picked her up she was happy and excited, but she didn’t show any signs of distress. Prior to my dog’s stay at his home Chad had invited us over for a meet&greet and he took a lot of time to inquire about my dog’s character and behaviors, which made me very confident that things would be alright. Chad was also willing to accommodated my travel schedule. I am happy with the experience and hope he will be available next time I have to go out of town.”

“Tamara is wonderful with my pup. She’s flexible which works great with my schedule. Ruby loves going to her & her dog Finn. We’re happy to be repeat customers.”

“Cassandra was great and responsive she sent me multiple updates during the day. My dog was shy at first but eventually made a new friend! I was very happy and will be going back:) Nadja”

“Shanley was very sweet with Ruby. She was very thorough in asking questions to ensure she could take good care of Ruby during the day. We got great photos and updates during the day. And Ruby came back so happy!”

“Gabe and his wife Darra were so good with our dog Wesley (golden retriever). I loved the amount of update pics we got and how attentive they were. Would definitely recommend and book again!”

“Sydney treated my dog as her own. Her space for them is lovely and she is kind and very accommodating to pets needs. I would bring my senior dog here again for sure ! Highly recommend”

“Jeff and Beth were great! They helped us out by scheduling a meet and greet on short notice and subsequently took excellent care of our new pup. They communicated clearly and frequently; shared a ton of photos; and provided our pup with plenty of time outside and on the trails. We will certainly have Jeff and Beth take care of our dog again and highly recommend them.”

“Alejandra is the best! She took such good care of MoMo and sent me photos & updates throughout the day. This is my 3rd booking with her and my trust in her grows each time - Tysm Alejandra!”

“It was last minute searching for a dog sitter. Dacyl responded my request pretty quickly and invited my dogs to meet her dog before I decided. She was very sweet with Jet and Luna and sent me several photos and messages. They had a great time with her. Thank you, Dacyl!”

“Meera took great care of my mini poodle puppy. She took him for a walk and paid special attention to his needs as a puppy who is too rambunctious at times. Meera was great to interact with because she is kind and thoughtful. I recommend her highly!”
“Chrystal was very receptive and understanding of the needs for my old husky girl. Actually, she confirmed that my dog was very sweet with people, mainly herself and her family. Crystal was able to work and stay with my dog as I mentioned was desirable as my dog has had separation issues. It looks like my dog was taken very good care of and I appreciate it.”

“Baxter has stayed Andrea and her pups twice for daycare, with hopefully more days to come! Andrea has a gentle, kind spirit and seems very attuned to a dog's needs. At our meet & greet, she asked great questions about Baxter and his routines. She provided fun updates with pics a few times a day -- much appreciated!”

About: I grew up with 6 pit bulls, taking sun baths with them in my backyard. I’ve volunteered in SF SPCA and donate monthly. My best friend aka Herita is a rescue, she’s been with me for over 3 years now. I believe animals have taught me how to love unconditionally and responsibly. It was also my pups birthday when she took care of him and she even gave him a little homemade peanut butter lick mat to celebrate. You won’t regret booking with Stephanie if you’re looking for someone to treat your pup like her own! :)”

“Ben and his family took the best care of Bruce. Their home was warm and welcoming and Bruce got so much love. Bruce had an infection that they spotted and were very communicative with us. They managed to bring Bruce to the vet so he could get the right medication/treatment. We were really grateful to be informed and really trust Ben and his family who took such excellent care of Bruce.”

“Ulunma was a dream come true! My dog was happy to temporarily become part of her family. Ulunma was very responsive to communication from me and regularly sent me pictures of my dog. I was able to relax and enjoy my vacation knowing that my dog was in great hands. I will surely use her again!”

“Angela did a wonderful job caring for my senior pup! She is kind and attentive and made sure that Elsie had a great stay. I would book with her again when the opportunity presents!”
