Hi, I’m Ruby! I’ve worked in animal welfare for six years and absolutely love animals of all shapes and sizes. I specialize in caring for pets with behavioral challenges like anxiety and reactivity, and have experience with a wide range of breeds, ages, and temperaments. Currently, I work in the behavior department at an animal shelter, where I help support dogs with complex needs. I’m a certified dog trainer through the Karen Pryor Academy, Council for Professional Dog Trainers, and also Fear-Free certified. If your pet has prior training you would like me to help maintain or if there is something you would like me to work on with them, just let me know! I’m also experienced with puppies, seniors, and pets with medical conditions, including mobility issues, diabetes, and seizure disorders. I have experience with a wide range of exotic species as well, including but not limited to rats, guinea pigs, snakes and livestock. If your pet has any behavioral or training challenges, just let me know in advance—I’m happy to help. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family!

Everything worked out great with Ruby! My cats can be timid, but they came out right away for Ruby and she was able to give one his medication on time. She also sent great photos. I would ask her back without hesitation when the need arises
Would recommend Ruby. She’s thoughtful and perceptive to the needs of your pet — and also respectful of house rules. I knew she was great when my cat (who is reticent to new people) was immediately comfortable with her; a sign that she’s truly an animal person!

Ruby took good care of Cali when we were out of town. She was easy to reach and responsive.
Ruby was fantastic! My dog is super shy and tends to be fearful with new people. Ruby really took her time to get to know her and even spent extra time over what we had booked her for to make sure that Fig was totally comfortable. Previous walkers have pushed her boundaries which of course only makes the problem worse. I will definitely be booking with her again!
Not reliable. She canceled the day before a scheduled walking stating that “she’s moving”. She canceled 4 out of 8 scheduled walks. She also canceled a 7 day housesitting appointment with short notice. She didn’t even walk my dog on the last scheduled walk.

Schedule
I work a standard 9-5, Monday to Friday. However the rest of my time is open and is dedicated to pet sitting and dog walking!

A typical day
I run, so if your dog is high energy i’d love to go running with him or her! I also love nature so we will definitely be visiting a park if there is one near by! If i’m just stopping by for a check in i’ll shower your pet with love and play a game of fetch or two :)
