Pet care experience
I adore animals
My family has owned dogs since I was a baby, cats since I was 5, and I have helped care for them since I was 10: feeding/playing with them, dog walking, cleaning litter boxes. I’ve also helped take care of other family/friend pets. I worked, interned, and volunteered at a local animal shelter where I was trained to walk/care for/train dogs, play with/feed cats, and cleaned kennels/litter boxes. Over the summer of 2024, I worked at the Oakland Zoo where I gained experience on caring for wild animals.

Safety, trust & environment
I will send pictures showing the progress of the walk/visit. I will also write texts to update when I bring the dog outside, when I’m returning from a walk, and when I’m leaving and locking up the house. I own a car and am able to drive to your home to take care of your pets. I can also bring dogs for walks or drive them to a park to play outside if wanted. If I do drive them anywhere, I will make sure to text when I am leaving (house/park) and arriving to the park or back to the house to show the dog made the trip safely.

Kaiya was an excellent caretaker for our house and our dog. She was very communicative throughout our trip and we felt very secure in leaving Hugo and our home in Kaiya’s hands
Kaiya helped us last minute with a drop in over the holidays for our 2 medium sized rescue dogs. She was very kind and patient with them. She was easy to communicate with and asked good questions which helped me feel reassured. We will be working with her again.
Kaiya is an excellent communicator! Kaiya is responsible and I really appreciate the photos she sends of the walks. Rilo looks like she is having a great time.

Schedule
Starting January 20th, I am taking classes at the local community college. I am available weekends, including Friday’s. Monday’s/Wednesday’s I’m available after 4pm. Tuesday/Thursday after 3pm. When I am free, I’m available to walk/feed dogs and take care of cats in their homes.
