About: For 5 years I worked at a dog daycare with all kinds of canines! For most of my time there, I was an overnight caretaker, solely responsible for anywhere between 5-99 dogs. I’ve worked with pups of all ages, many breeds, and many needs. Before that, I spent my teenage years volunteering at a local shelter, where I walked and cuddled dogs from all walks of life, and got the hang of getting nervous newcomers out of their shell. About: I've spent many years dog sitting and have a special place in my heart for reactive pups, seniors, and dogs with sensitive diets. I'm calm, patient, and attentive to each dog's unique needs. I'm happy to prepare special meals if your pup has dietary restrictions! While I do not have a large yard, I make sure dogs get plenty of outdoor fun walks, enrichment, and lots of love and attention. Your dog will be treated como familia while you're away. I currently work a hybrid schedule, so I have plenty of time for walks and activities throughout the day. If left alone, it is for no more than 4 hours. I'm available for weekend boarding and offer free pickup and drop-off. Your dog will be cared for in a calm, cozy one-bedroom apartment where they will be closely supervised and given plenty of attention. I intentionally keep a low-stress environment, and there are currently no other pets in the home, which can be especially helpful for reactive or older dogs who do best with quiet spaces. We're also located near green spaces, so your pup will enjoy regular outdoor walks, fresh air, and enrichment while staying safe and comfortable indoors.

About: I've grown up with big dogs and am now a dog and cat mom. Before my dog I boarded friends' dogs with me, watching them while they were away. My big dog is from the shelter and is fearful, so I have experience with shy shelter dogs, training, and managing their triggers. I also walk others' dogs. “Rob was so great. We had a last minute no-show with another sitter one and a half hours before our vacation. I called customer service and they sent out requests. Rob accepted right away and even picked our german shepherd up. We didn't get a chance to introduce them because we were forced to head to the airport while finding arrangements, and our dog was very much on alert (via the cam) when Rob, a stranger to her, picked her up. He handled it extremely well and safely. He took her on a hike and updated us with happy pictures of her being played with and well exercised. Single family home, small enclosed yard, great neighborhood. Work 3miles min home M-F 8-4, home weekends. Friday late afternoon drop off/late Sunday pickup. Walks, hikes, trips to Berkeley Marina, feeding, play, medications and lots of cuddling. Enclosed yard, single story single family home, no kids, non-smoking house, furniture and carpets all dog friendly, nice residential area in Berkeley. Access to outdoors all day.
“Alexandra was an incredible pet sitter for my almost 3-year-old mini bull terrier. Alexandra is a clear communicator, proactive, kind, responsible, attentive, and loves animals. My dog stayed with Alexandra and her two kiddos for 5 days/nights, and I was able to fully enjoy my vacation because of Alexandra's excellent communication. She kept me updated and texted me each day before I had a chance to worry about anything (after all, she was caring for my fur baby!). I felt at ease knowing that my pup was in loving and attentive hands, and I could text any time I felt the need. My dog is super friendly and also has some behavior quirks. She can get overexcited, and Alexandra had no problem following all the care instructions. She noticed my dog's comfort or discomfort and ensured she got what she needed. When I picked up my pup, she was quite content and even gave Alexandra a little lick goodbye, which told me even more about the care Alexandra and her family gave my little one. “Tim is fantastic. He messages regularly and sends updates throughout the day and a ton of photos. I appreciate that he over communicates like “Alfalfa pooped twice today”. And he’s diligent about keeping Alfalfa clean which as a doodle mom is very important since he can get easily matted or even have random things stuck in his paws. His dog Coco is super sweet and gentle. I think Alfalfa had more energy than her but she’s an older dog and was very patient. I would highly recommend anyone to use Tim. And we plan on using him more often!”
