“Hy and Arlo were great sitters for our pup during a long vacation. It was his first time staying for a long period of time somewhere unfamiliar and Hy put us right at ease. Right off the bat, they seemed very comfortable with our pup and very confident around dogs generally, and pup took right to exploring their spacious home with a nice, fenced in backyard. Our dog is dog-reactive and they had ideas for best routes to walk him in their neighborhood. During our trip, they were able to use their intuitiveness to troubleshoot some barking at night. About: With my big yard and love for long hikes your pet will be happy and active. I have had dogs my whole adult life, and have owned and worked with very big and/or reactive dogs, so know how to handle them. I also volunteer with a rescue, helping in their kennels and with their foster program. I work from home so my schedule is always very flexible and I am never gone for long. I have a large fenced yard with lots to sniff. During the hot months with have a doggie pool to chill out, and we always spend the cool evenings snuggled up inside the house. I work from home, so am typically here all day. We try to do a hike every day, usually in the morning. Then it's play time! I have a fully fenced yard with lots of space and a very friendly and young Aussie Shepherd that loves to play with all dogs. I am also separately fully insured.

We genuinely appreciate pet families trusting us to care for their pet(s). Boarding is our most used and preferred service of the Tree House. We have many regular clients who use our Boarding and Doggy Day Care services. We love all sizes of dogs and the full range of dog personalities. We host up to 3 guest dogs at a time and are very conscientious of the dogs we host and how they will interact. Therefore, if your dog does not do well with other dogs, our house may not be a great fit for your pet. We get requests for exclusive bookings, and where we can accommodate these requests, we will. ****price for exclusive bookings is 2X our service rate, boarding or day care slot**** We require all new clients to do a meet-&-greet, so we can only accommodate last-minute new clients if we get a solid referral from another sitter, you are a friend of the family, or one of our regular clients referred you. We have found our guests do much better when they have been here and sniffed about before their stay. Your dog(s) will be loved and treated with the utmost respect by every member of our household and any other guests. Our home is very relaxed, and our backyard is a dog paradise with lots of shade and different areas for dogs to claim their own space. We always have a crew of dogs, so your dog will have plenty of stimulation and exercise while at our home. We work from home and are here nearly all the time. Pickup and drop-off times are flexible—the key is communication and consideration—fees may apply where either is lacking. The yard has plenty of room for guests to stretch it out and find their own space. We are happy to accommodate crating, and problem children will have some sort of time out until they can ground and be good guests. We are not disciplinarians but are pretty good at setting boundaries thru timeouts and rewards.

About: We've designed our experience a little differently than most. Rather than filling our home with multiple unfamiliar dogs, we intentionally host just one dog (or one family's dogs) at a time. We made this decision because we know separation can be hard. Our goal is to give every guest a calm, relaxing vacation while giving their humans peace of mind knowing their pup has our full attention. My husband Cameron and I have both been around animals our entire lives and have experience with puppies, seniors, bulldogs, and dogs with special needs. We also have two young kids (ages 3 & 6) who absolutely love animals and know how to be gentle and respectful around them. Whether your dog loves hiking, backyard sniff sessions, playing fetch, or simply curling up on the couch for a nap, we'll happily match their pace. We'll also send plenty of photos and updates throughout their stay because we know being away from your dog isn't always easy. We'd love to meet you both! We keep our schedule intentionally flexible so we can build our day around your dog's routine instead of expecting them to adjust to ours. Your dog's safety is our number one priority. Our backyard is fully fenced and we supervise outdoor time closely. Because we have young children, we've already built our home around safety. Medications, chemicals, and anything potentially dangerous stay locked away, and as a gardener I'm always mindful of which plants are safe and which aren't. If your dog joins us for a walk or an adventure, they'll always be on leash and right by our side. They won't be left unattended anytime, ever. We don't take guest dogs to dog parks or introduce them to unfamiliar dogs. We prefer controlled environments where we know exactly what's going on. We know leaving your dog with someone new can feel stressful. We take that responsibility seriously and will care for them like one of our own.

“Hy and Arlo were great sitters for our pup during a long vacation. It was his first time staying for a long period of time somewhere unfamiliar and Hy put us right at ease. Right off the bat, they seemed very comfortable with our pup and very confident around dogs generally, and pup took right to exploring their spacious home with a nice, fenced in backyard. Our dog is dog-reactive and they had ideas for best routes to walk him in their neighborhood. During our trip, they were able to use their intuitiveness to troubleshoot some barking at night. When we picked him up, we could tell he took a real liking to Hy while we were gone. Thanks Hy and Arlo for taking such good care of our guy while!”
