About: I have been surrounded by animals my entire life, beginning with my childhood growing up on a farm. That early, hands-on exposure taught me the fundamentals of animal care, daily routines, and how to read animal behavior. About: I am a dog walker and trainer based in Emeryville. I am currently working towards my CTC to improve my training skills. I have experience training dogs big and small in single and multi dog homes. I use positive reinforcement (usually food) in my training and do not use aversive tools for training. I love teaching all sorts of behaviors, but especially love training good manners and leash walking skills. I offer regular dog walking for enrichment and exercise as well as training walks that work on walking and public behaviors. For pet sitting: I have owned large and small dogs, cats, insects, rats, fish, and other birds. I have owned a diabetic dog who requires insulin twice a day and a cat who received pills every day for her thyroid. I have experience giving medicine both orally and via shot using positive reinforcement. About: Since I was 12 I would pet sit for neighbors and family friends in my area. I always loved being around dogs since I was a toddler and still continue to provide quality care for my clients. I also raised my own pup fully on my own, constantly catering to different dietary needs and walking schedules based on his age. Although he just recently passed I understand the extra attention that is necessary for dogs who are seniors or have certain traits/needs and of course will be able to properly care for any 4 legged friend you have in your family.
