“Grace stayed in my home and watched my two fur babies (5-month-old kitten and 3-year-old cat) for 10 days/9 nights and she truly did the most amazing job—I really can’t recommend her enough!! I’m new to Rover and was hesitant to have someone I don’t know stay in my home for that long but Grace was so kind, trustworthy, and thoughtful. She was very quick to respond to my messages and sent me thorough updates every other day with lots of adorable pictures of her playing with my cats, which made me so happy. My kitten is a ball of energy and is still learning how to navigate the litter box (sometimes she steps in her poop) and required some medication while I was away. Grace had no issues administering the medication, she did an awesome job monitoring the poop situation, and played with her a ton (my kitten is probably disappointed that I came home from my trip 😂). Also, I cleaned my home before I left and when I returned, it was just as clean (if not cleaner) than I left it. I will 100% be a repeat client! Grace is fantastic!!”

About: I‘ve rescued, fostered and placed animals from different species in homes since 11 years ago. It all started with my soul dog who made me get into dog training and ethology. More animals came into my life and continued to taught me how to properly take care for disabled and senior animals who had terminal cancer, seizures, and mobility issues. As well as different species of animals that urgently needed veterinary care and new homes like bearded dragons, turtles, rats, chickens, cows and fish. I‘m surrounded by a community of animal rescuers who have taught me a lot on how to help more animals and educate the public about their needs and challenges. It‘s very important for pet parents to leave their animals at the hands of people who understand that these pets are family members and each of them is unique and deserves to be given the best care and life possible. I‘m currently available most days of the week, and trying to get consistent pups that I can take on adventures with others at least twice a week. I‘m also available for boarding and house sitting. I train tuesdays-fridays at night for an hour. I like to do multiple walks and exercise at selected parks around berkeley and oakland. I live in a 1b-1ba apartment with a big cemented balcony in an apartment building. All my windows and balcony door have a screen. My door goes to a carpeted hallway with other apartments so there‘s no possibility of escaping accidents. I also have a 360 camera at my apartment which I use for monitoring.

On weekday evenings, I typically go on runs (with/without dogs!). Expect many photos of your fur baby while you're away! I'm happy to drop in to check on food, water, litter (for cats), and take your pup on walks. I am very detail oriented, so if you have very particular instructions regarding diet or preferences while outside, you can trust me to follow them. For boarding, I have bowls for water and food as well as doggy waste bags. Most animals find me agreeable and I try to be consistent and loving with any younger ones so that they’re shaped into the best possible pets. I’ve recently left my long-term job to focus on watching/walking pets. I do some gig work to make ends meet but my main passion right now is animal care. I have a spacious loft apartment in Chinatown Oakland in a very safe neighborhood just a few minutes walk from Lake Merritt. Crating (with one provided for me) in the apartment is an option as well as my sectional couch or rug depending on your animal’s preferences.

About: Hello! You can count on me to take good care of your dog! I grew up with a 50 lbs medium sized dog. She was a mix of Labrador, Jack Russell terrier and Pit Bull, with a lot of sweet energy. It would be a pleasure to take care of your pup, and I am happy to stop by or stay overnight. They will receive the best attention, happy walks, and many many tummy rubs. I started babysitting for dogs via Rover about 4 years ago, while I was a graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania. I have taken care of many dogs- from terriers to Great Danes- all with very different personalities! I have loved doing it and my dogs always leave well walked, and happy! Let me know if I can be of service. I’m currently working three days in the office and two days at home. I will care for you pup before and after work! It is a large house so they can hang in the living room when I’m away I live in a large home with two other people who love dogs. We share a fenced yard with one other person and her small dog.

About: I’ve grown up with cats and kittens my whole life and continued adopting them as an adult — animals have always been at the heart of my home! I’ve raised and trained a puppy from 8 weeks old, cared for up to 3 medium-sized dogs at a time, and have experience housing and caring for rabbits, birds, and reptiles too. 🐶🐱🐰🦜🐸🦎 Your pet will be welcomed into a warm, loving home where they’ll be treated like family! I’m also a pet parent myself — my 1-year-old pup and 9-year-old cat are both incredibly friendly with people and other animals and absolutely love making new friends. “I booked Asia at the last minute for a long 6 days stay, and she was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly responsive and very understanding of my dog’s situation. She was also flexible and patient with my late-hour drop‑off and pick‑up, which I really appreciated. She took such good care of Coquita, and to my surprise, my dog even got along with her dog, which is something that never happens because Coquita usually isn’t friendly with other dogs. She kept me updated throughout the stay with pictures and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind. I would definitely book with her again.
