While I don’t have a private yard, I live in a dog-friendly building with a secure, fenced dog park, and I take dogs out frequently for walks and supervised play (with owner approval). My goal is for both you and your dog to feel comfortable and at ease while you’re away, and I’m always happy to schedule a meet & greet 🐾 **For house-sitting/dog walking/check in bookings, I come alone — I do not bring my dog with me. About: *I only board dogs from one home at a time* I love to jog around Lake Merritt, and I'd be happy to take your fur baby along for a run! I've cared for dogs and cats, healthy and sick, with very specific dietary restrictions and activity needs. I wish I could have my own pet, but since I travel pretty often, this is the next best thing. :-) I’m a Product Manager with a hybrid work schedule. Rest assured, I can easily get from work to home on in-office days for walks/drop-ins if needed. I also work at a dog friendly office. I am available most days for drop-ins 2x/day. On weekday evenings, I typically go on runs (with/without dogs!). Expect many photos of your fur baby while you're away! I'm happy to drop in to check on food, water, litter (for cats), and take your pup on walks. I am very detail oriented, so if you have very particular instructions regarding diet or preferences while outside, you can trust me to follow them. For boarding, I have bowls for water and food as well as doggy waste bags. You would need to provide their food, treats, toys, (litter for kitties), and anything else to make their stay more comfortable!

About: I have a flexible schedule and am booking dog walks and drop-ins! I can accommodate for whether your dog likes more activity or needs a quiet and calm environment. I have experience dealing with dogs and other animals with anxiety and other medical or physical needs. I work from home at my own pace so I can accommodate different needs! Ideally, pet guests can be left at home alone for about an hour for errands and other events that come up. Please provide a crate if your dog cannot be left alone for over an hour. My dog stayed with Alexandra and her two kiddos for 5 days/nights, and I was able to fully enjoy my vacation because of Alexandra's excellent communication. She kept me updated and texted me each day before I had a chance to worry about anything (after all, she was caring for my fur baby!). I felt at ease knowing that my pup was in loving and attentive hands, and I could text any time I felt the need. My dog is super friendly and also has some behavior quirks. She can get overexcited, and Alexandra had no problem following all the care instructions. She noticed my dog's comfort or discomfort and ensured she got what she needed. When I picked up my pup, she was quite content and even gave Alexandra a little lick goodbye, which told me even more about the care Alexandra and her family gave my little one. “Rob was so great. We had a last minute no-show with another sitter one and a half hours before our vacation. I called customer service and they sent out requests. Rob accepted right away and even picked our german shepherd up. We didn't get a chance to introduce them because we were forced to head to the airport while finding arrangements, and our dog was very much on alert (via the cam) when Rob, a stranger to her, picked her up. He handled it extremely well and safely. He took her on a hike and updated us with happy pictures of her being played with and well exercised. “Hy and Arlo were great sitters for our pup during a long vacation. It was his first time staying for a long period of time somewhere unfamiliar and Hy put us right at ease. Right off the bat, they seemed very comfortable with our pup and very confident around dogs generally, and pup took right to exploring their spacious home with a nice, fenced in backyard. Our dog is dog-reactive and they had ideas for best routes to walk him in their neighborhood. During our trip, they were able to use their intuitiveness to troubleshoot some barking at night. When we picked him up, we could tell he took a real liking to Hy while we were gone. Thanks Hy and Arlo for taking such good care of our guy while!”
