“Astrid was a lifesaver! The dog sitter for my active Aussie Shepard/pitbull mix had a medical emergency and she agreed to watch my Lola on a week’s notice. Lola can be a handful (she is very hyper until she gets used to people and is reactive towards other dogs) but Astrid and her family were so sweet and patient to Lola that she settled in quickly. “Grace stayed in my home and watched my two fur babies (5-month-old kitten and 3-year-old cat) for 10 days/9 nights and she truly did the most amazing job—I really can’t recommend her enough!! I’m new to Rover and was hesitant to have someone I don’t know stay in my home for that long but Grace was so kind, trustworthy, and thoughtful. She was very quick to respond to my messages and sent me thorough updates every other day with lots of adorable pictures of her playing with my cats, which made me so happy. My kitten is a ball of energy and is still learning how to navigate the litter box (sometimes she steps in her poop) and required some medication while I was away. Grace had no issues administering the medication, she did an awesome job monitoring the poop situation, and played with her a ton (my kitten is probably disappointed that I came home from my trip 😂). Also, I cleaned my home before I left and when I returned, it was just as clean (if not cleaner) than I left it. I will 100% be a repeat client! Grace is fantastic!!”

About: I grew up with 6 pit bulls, taking sun baths with them in my backyard. I’ve volunteered in SF SPCA and donate monthly. My best friend aka Herita is a rescue, she’s been with me for over 3 years now. I believe animals have taught me how to love unconditionally and responsibly. I normally take Hera on a walk every morning for about 30 mins. Come back and hit the gym. After that I’m free. I can always head over in the am, afternoon or evenings. I have a fenced yard, Herita is spayed and loves to play with other dogs. Her bff is a 3 y/o Doberman. Which I take care of a couple of times a week (take her out on walks and feed her)

About: I'm a very responsible middle-aged woman who works from home and would be happy to care for your fur baby. Eventually I'll get a dog of my own! Our household consists of me and my partner, Rocky. We both grew up with pets, but currently don't have any. I work about 15-25 hours a week from home so I have plenty of time throughout the day for walks around the neighborhood and trips to the Alameda dog park. My partner and I are homebodies and enjoy spending time working on our house and gardening. I have a fenced in yard and several rooms of my house can be sectioned off to allow for large spaces to hang out, if the dog needs it's own space. I also have plenty of room to set up a crate. I do not have any pets. I would love to get a dog, but I travel to Vancouver 4 times a year to visit my mom in long term care and occasionally I have to travel for a week or more for work and I don't want to leave a pet for that long. My partner goes to the office Monday - Friday.
About: I had a dog for 15 years and while we are holding out on getting a new one for a few years till we stop traveling so much, we would love to hang with yours periodically when in town! We have a fenced in yard to throw a ball in (and a six and nine year old who never tire in doing so) and love taking walks to all the local Piedmont parks with a pup. My husband is mildly allergic, so unfortunately only able to take in non shedding, hypoallergenic poodle type mixes. And of course dogs need to be kid friendly, but my kiddoes are very sweet and gentle with dogs and will give the dogs lots of pets and affection in return. My husband and I both predominately work from home so there's always someone around to love on a furry friend or take a break to get outside for a walk. I predominately work from home and I love frequent walks with a pup. We live close to many Piedmont parks which is a great place to go and visit other dogs or just explore some new grounds. About: We've designed our experience a little differently than most. Rather than filling our home with multiple unfamiliar dogs, we intentionally host just one dog (or one family's dogs) at a time. We made this decision because we know separation can be hard. Our goal is to give every guest a calm, relaxing vacation while giving their humans peace of mind knowing their pup has our full attention. My husband Cameron and I have both been around animals our entire lives and have experience with puppies, seniors, bulldogs, and dogs with special needs. We also have two young kids (ages 3 & 6) who absolutely love animals and know how to be gentle and respectful around them. Whether your dog loves hiking, backyard sniff sessions, playing fetch, or simply curling up on the couch for a nap, we'll happily match their pace. We'll also send plenty of photos and updates throughout their stay because we know being away from your dog isn't always easy. We'd love to meet you both! We keep our schedule intentionally flexible so we can build our day around your dog's routine instead of expecting them to adjust to ours. Your dog's safety is our number one priority. Our backyard is fully fenced and we supervise outdoor time closely. Because we have young children, we've already built our home around safety. About: I have experience with cats who are particularly anxious, I am able to provide much more than just feeding and regular care tasks. I have experience with emotional regulation for anxious cats and dogs , and I’m able to provide extra attention through extended stays, diverse kinds of play, and overnight care. I also have prior experience with elderly dogs who need special accommodation. I work only 2 days a week, and have a very open flexible schedule at the moment. I can provide a wide range of services, my most notable experience is working with anxious pets who need extra attention and love! For dogs, I prefer to take dogs on multiple walks (ideally 3 walks per day) to encourage lots of activity, I can encourage socializing if needed. I am happy to give your pup all the snuggles they need. I am excited to take your pet on long hikes or runs or to just spend time hanging out at home. I love them all! I am most available on the weekends but can house sit during the week where WiFi is available! As long as I can work from your home! I can care for your pet by taking them on walks, hikes, or dog park adventures. I can also stay with your pet at your home. I don’t bring folks’ pets into my home.

If your pup is crate-trained or needs a quiet space to unwind, I’ve got clean, comfortable crates available. Safety is my top priority—I keep a close eye on each dog and never take on more pets than I can give proper attention to. You can trust that while you’re away, your dog will be in a safe, loving, and well-managed space.

“Astrid was a lifesaver! The dog sitter for my active Aussie Shepard/pitbull mix had a medical emergency and she agreed to watch my Lola on a week’s notice. Lola can be a handful (she is very hyper until she gets used to people and is reactive towards other dogs) but Astrid and her family were so sweet and patient to Lola that she settled in quickly. Astrid provided updates regularly which reassured Lola was well loved. Will definitely hire Astrid again to dog sit Lola since Lola had such a great time!”

“Asha was a heaven-sent sitter for our lovely Lola. The TLDR here is: if you're looking for the best person in the area to not just care for your pup, but someone who will show them love, tons of care, and treat them as one of her own, look no further. We were on a 2.5-week far-away vacation and had initially booked another sitter. On day one of our trip, we received a message from the original sitter's sibling that the sitter had to go to the ER for something serious and we needed to find someone else to watch Lola. After searching on Rover, we discovered Asha. From initial conversations to figuring out the logistics of getting Lola to Asha, all the way to getting updates while far away and Asha coordinating with Lola's pack walk group, we felt assured and in no need to stress. When we returned and picked up Lola, we could see the love and care that Asha provided. We were lucky to find Asha and will definitely use her services in the future! I'd give a thousand stars if I could!”
