About: Hi There! I have 25 years of animal care experience, as well as dog training and behavior knowledge. I’ve just returned from living in Thailand for a year, where I worked as a supervisor for Lanta Animal Welfare, a dog and cat rescue. Prior to that, I volunteered at Rocket Dog Rescue. I had been working as a dog walker for 2 years leading up to my move. To make things even more interesting and weird, I also have have 15 years of experience in gorilla, chimpanzee and other primate care through volunteering with Oakland Zoo, Ape Action Africa and formerly The Gorilla Foundation with Koko! I know how much the animals in my life (domestic and otherwise) mean to me. That said, I promise to treat your pet(s) with the same love and attention I would hope for if I were hiring someone to do the same for my animal family. I’m happiest when my days are filled with pet care jobs, as it is my full time job. I love spending my days opening doors to dogs that are excited to see me! I will follow any care instructions to the T. As i stated in my profile, I treat every dog as i treat my own dog. Because that is what I would want from a caregiver.

About: We've designed our experience a little differently than most. Rather than filling our home with multiple unfamiliar dogs, we intentionally host just one dog (or one family's dogs) at a time. We made this decision because we know separation can be hard. Our goal is to give every guest a calm, relaxing vacation while giving their humans peace of mind knowing their pup has our full attention. My husband Cameron and I have both been around animals our entire lives and have experience with puppies, seniors, bulldogs, and dogs with special needs. We also have two young kids (ages 3 & 6) who absolutely love animals and know how to be gentle and respectful around them. Whether your dog loves hiking, backyard sniff sessions, playing fetch, or simply curling up on the couch for a nap, we'll happily match their pace. We'll also send plenty of photos and updates throughout their stay because we know being away from your dog isn't always easy. We'd love to meet you both! We keep our schedule intentionally flexible so we can build our day around your dog's routine instead of expecting them to adjust to ours. Your dog's safety is our number one priority. Our backyard is fully fenced and we supervise outdoor time closely. Because we have young children, we've already built our home around safety. Medications, chemicals, and anything potentially dangerous stay locked away, and as a gardener I'm always mindful of which plants are safe and which aren't. If your dog joins us for a walk or an adventure, they'll always be on leash and right by our side. They won't be left unattended anytime, ever. We don't take guest dogs to dog parks or introduce them to unfamiliar dogs. We prefer controlled environments where we know exactly what's going on. We know leaving your dog with someone new can feel stressful. We take that responsibility seriously and will care for them like one of our own.
