Lola can be a handful (she is very hyper until she gets used to people and is reactive towards other dogs) but Astrid and her family were so sweet and patient to Lola that she settled in quickly. Astrid provided updates regularly which reassured Lola was well loved. Will definitely hire Astrid again to dog sit Lola since Lola had such a great time!”

I was at first apprehensive with leaving Willow someplace with multiple other dogs being cared for since the last experience left Willow traumatized and was negative. This was the total opposite! “I found myself in a bit of a bind. My partner was going into a last minute surgery and we needed to find someone to take care of our dog on short notice. I reached out to Dvora and almost immediately heard back. I appreciated Dvora's request to have my dog come by her house and hang out for an hour just to see how she reacted to other dogs and to Dvora's home. Thankfully my dog seemed to adapt well and we confirmed boarding for 3 nights. Over the next few days I got regular updates and even a couple photos which really helped ease my mind that my dog was well taken care of. My partner's surgery went well but we had to stay in the hospital an extra night. Dvora was able to accommodate boarding our dog one more night. Overall, I really appreciate how thoughtful Dvora was in the care of our dog. She really understands the behavioral pattern of dogs. She has a nice backyard which I appreciate because my dog had the space to run around and play. My dog even got along super well with a different dog Dvora was taking care of. What a great experience and would highly recommend Dvora for your boarding needs.”

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and genuinely enjoy taking care of them. I’ve helped friends, family, and neighbors with feeding, walks, playtime, and just making sure their pets feel comfortable while they’re away. I’m really attentive to each pet’s routine and personality, whether that means keeping up with high energy dogs or giving extra patience and care to more shy or older pets. I’ll always keep you updated so you feel at ease knowing your pet is in good hands. I have a very flexible work schedule which allows me stay present and keep your dog's routine consistent. I like to get out during my lunch and after work (coffee runs around Alameda, check out garage sales and other events happening in the area), so me and your dog gets fresh air and activity. Being home means more attention, regular potty breaks and a comfortable, low stress environment while you're away. I live in a second floor apartment in a really walkable area in Alameda. There's a little communal garden/yard in my complex and Franklin Park is less than 5 minutes away. I feel like my spot works for all types of dogs. If they're high energy we can go on longer walks by the beach and if they're more chill we can just take a slower walk and enjoy the scenery. I keep dogs on leash when we're out and just make sure they feel comfortable and settles while they're away from home.
