About: I grew up in a household where we always had cats and dogs, and it was the best!! Now, I have a sweet dog and our newest addition, a rescue cat. Our home has two lush green lawns where our pets love to play. Because I work from home, I’m available to nurture and care for my pets all day long. I work remotely from home, so I am free all day to walk pets, entertain pets, and take pets out to potty. Because I already own a dog and cat, caring for others’ will align perfectly with my schedule. About: I have only pet-sat for friends doggos and cats in the past. Now that we are in a bigger place with a small yard, I’d love to work with you and your dogs. I have had several Ridgebacks and Dobermans, a greyhound, and a viasla in my life and now love my two small ones - a rat terrier mix and a Pinchiweenie. I work from home and my desk is downstairs right by the back door so the door is open all day for my pets to go out as they please. I live in a quiet neighborhood with sidewalks for nice walkies around my neighborhood which has lots of grassy areas. I have time throughout the day for walks if needed and I make a point to have playtime with balls or toys throughout the day. We live just a few minutes from Oakland Airport in an 2 story townhome with a small (20 ft x 20ft), fully enclosed yard with areas for potties. It has great morning and early afternoon sun and I always have beds outside for sunning. The door is open for them to goes out as they want. We allow our pets in the couch and I office downstairs to keep an eye on the doggos. I have several water bowls around for hydration. I feed my girls a combination of kibble and homemade dog food, so “special meals” are not an issue for me.

I gained a great deal of experience and knowledge in animal husbandry and land stewardship, all while falling in love with the animals. I focused mostly on the dairy cows, where I became the assistant dairy manager. There were, of course, farm dogs and cats, and I was the main puppy care person (feeding both mama and puppies, taking mama on walks, ensuring safe birth care, etc.). We’re a dog-friendly household with a decent-sized fenced backyard—perfect for play and relaxation. If you’re okay with it, we welcome dogs on the couch and treat them like part of our family while you're away. My kids absolutely love animals, so I kindly ask that your pet be kid-friendly. I do daily short walks around the neighborhood, and I’m happy to offer longer walks or hikes for an additional fee.
About: Hi, I’m Sindhu! I’m a recent college graduate with experience looking after both dogs and cats. I currently do not have pets of my own, and love meeting new fur babies. I am deeply attentive and communicative, and will make sure your pet is well cared for and you are thoroughly updated. I have a part-time job that is remote without a fixed schedule, so whatever your need is I can make it work! I am primarily free on weekdays I do not have a home to offer for pet care, and can care for your pet in your home or for dog-walking. About: Thank you for considering me to be your dog’s home away from home! I have over 8 years of experience caring for my childhood dogs, along with caring for dogs outside of Rover. I have experience with taking care of dogs as young as 2 months old and as old as 16 years old. With my experience I understand that all dogs are different and need special care and attention. Being away from your dog, and your dog being away from you can bring a lot of anxiety for the dogs as well the owner; but I am more than happy to help ease the anxiety and make sure your dog is loved and care for and receiving all the attention they need while you are away. Although I don’t have a yard, I am walking minutes away from the beach, and parks nearby. I work from home Monday-Friday which will allow me to keep a close eye on your beloved fur baby; and will also allow more flexibility for drop off and pick up. I am currently working full time remotely which allows me more flexibility with accommodations. Please send me a message for any scheduling accommodations you may need. I am able to provide your fur baby at least 3 walks/day (Morning, noon, evening). Depending on your preference, I can send an update once or twice (morning and evening) a day. I have experience working with senior dogs therefore I am familiar with administering medication if your dog has any medications they are taking.
About: I am very good at training puppies. And have grown up around all different kinds of animals my whole life, from dogs to horses to turtles to chicken and pigs. I am home every day and can pay attention to your pet for as long as you need. And also need to earn some extra cash to help with everyday living. I have a beautiful 9 year old daughter. So the extra cash really helps out. THANK YOU! My availability is very much open to fit to your schedule, I'm currently not working so I can tend to your pets needs as much as they want. I don't leave any pets unattended when let outside. I usually will hang out in the backyard with them. And I will always make sure that they are comfortable and everything is taken care of anytime before I leave.

“Astrid was a lifesaver! The dog sitter for my active Aussie Shepard/pitbull mix had a medical emergency and she agreed to watch my Lola on a week’s notice. Lola can be a handful (she is very hyper until she gets used to people and is reactive towards other dogs) but Astrid and her family were so sweet and patient to Lola that she settled in quickly. Astrid provided updates regularly which reassured Lola was well loved. Will definitely hire Astrid again to dog sit Lola since Lola had such a great time!”

About: I had a dog for 15 years and a cat for 2 years, giving me experience with pets at all stages of life. They are very special and I have a deep passion for caretaking, one that extends to your pets! I can also administer medications if needed. I am a student at UCSF on summer break. I have availability most days—weekdays and weekends, just need a few days notice! I am also a night owl so I can watch your pets well into the evenings!
