Rob accepted right away and even picked our german shepherd up. We didn't get a chance to introduce them because we were forced to head to the airport while finding arrangements, and our dog was very much on alert (via the cam) when Rob, a stranger to her, picked her up. He handled it extremely well and safely. He took her on a hike and updated us with happy pictures of her being played with and well exercised. About: Animals have always been a very important part of my life. Growing up, my mother operated a small pet rescue and animal shelter organization in Asia, and from a very young age I helped care for rescued dogs, cats, and abandoned animals alongside her. About: I would describe myself as an animal lover and have two cats of my own. I'm hoping one day to get a dog, perhaps some birds and chickens too. Is that too much? Pets are the best of friends especially when life seems a bit chaotic. I understand that most people don’t have the time to care for their pets as much as they would like to, whether it’s a busy work schedule or a desperate need for a vacation from it all. I’ll be there to step in for you so your pet has someone to give them attention, treats, walks, and those good scritchy scratchies. “Ruthy is a fantastic find! This was our first time using Rover.com and we really lucked out in finding someone as knowledgeable, responsible, and passionate about dogs as Ruthy. Our dog is a newly adopted large-breed dog with a lot of energy as well as separation anxiety. There are not a lot of sitters that would be able to handle our guy! From the moment we met Ruthy at the meet-and-greet we could tell that she took her job very seriously and knew how to be a responsible dog owner and caretaker. We've used Ruthy once for doggy daycare and once for boarding, and we are going to keep using her again because we could not imagine there being anyone better to care for our pup. We also loved all the pictures and videos of our dog enjoying his stay while we were out of town (it actually made us worry that he had forgotten about us)! We would highly recommend Ruthy to anyone who wants to leave their dog with someone who not only knows how to handle dogs, but who truly cares about them.”

She was available and home with my pups most of the time, very quick and responsive when I messaged her during my trip, sent me LOTS of pictures (which I asked her to do :) and she overall just made leaving my babies so much less stressful. My biggest thing was knowing they were safe and someone was home with them over 4th of July, (my girl is afraid of fireworks). She sent me pictures of her snuggly and relaxed on 4th of July night and her XL fence made me feel very safe with my Great Pyrenees, whom are escape artists. She was cool and ready for the hair and drooling, and even let me drop off at 5AM. Overall, I will be using Shareese again and would highly recommend.”
“Hy and Arlo were great sitters for our pup during a long vacation. It was his first time staying for a long period of time somewhere unfamiliar and Hy put us right at ease. Right off the bat, they seemed very comfortable with our pup and very confident around dogs generally, and pup took right to exploring their spacious home with a nice, fenced in backyard. Our dog is dog-reactive and they had ideas for best routes to walk him in their neighborhood. During our trip, they were able to use their intuitiveness to troubleshoot some barking at night. When we picked him up, we could tell he took a real liking to Hy while we were gone. Thanks Hy and Arlo for taking such good care of our guy while!”
