About: I am a veterinary technician with 16 years of experience providing skilled, compassionate care for pets of all ages. I specialize in senior and medically inclined pets, in-home boarding, medication administration, and creating a calm, safe, nurturing environment where pets feel comfortable and secure. I work Tuesday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Pets are never left unattended for long periods, and if a pet needs to accompany me to work for continued care or supervision, I can safely accommodate this. Evenings, overnights, weekends, and Mondays are fully dedicated to pet care, boarding, medication administration, and attentive companionship I provide a safe, structured, and nurturing environment in my apartment with a large, secure outdoor courtyard for supervised exercise and enrichment. About: I have been caring for pets my entire life. I have always had at least two or three cats and dogs or two. I have raised puppies and cared for elderly pets. I have cared for diabetic cats and dogs with cancer. I understand the importance of following pet parents instructions when caring for other’s animals because each pet has very different needs. I am free right now all days but Tuesday which is when I attend classes at SFSU. I am free for dogs walks or dog sitting all days but Tuesday as long as I have a days notice. I live in an apartment with no yard right now down the street from lake Merrit. There is a dog park just 1 block down the street with a fence that I will walk dogs down to 4-8 times a day depending on the needs of the dog. We do have a large apartment and very pet friendly environment.

About: We promise your pup will have a great time with us- a daily run, evening stroll, plus unlimited attention from our seven year old daughter! We also have a four-year-old lab mix (Boston) who is great with other dogs and will be happy to have a playmate. We work from home and walk our dog regularly. we'd be happy to take your dog along too. Plus, there are great parks nearby, and I head up to the Oakland hills several days a week. Our home is ideal for dogs, as we have a fully fenced in backyard with plenty of space to run around. Inside, the dogs are welcome to cuddle up on the couch with us and generally be underfoot no matter what we're up to. During weekends, it is common for us to go on longer hikes and take the dogs. On weekdays, we work from home, which means the dogs can hang out where they please, and get plenty of walks throughout the day. We work from home, and our dog wants a playmate! We will let the dogs out to the fenced backyard whenever they like, and always take numerous trips around the block to stretch the legs out. Given that we wake up early to run and start working from home, we prefer drop offs and pickups to be generally between 8:00am and 6:00pm. We have a fenced yard and Boston is a great playmate. Typically the dogs like to be underfoot for most of the day, which is fine as we are working away on our computers. I like to do at least one longer walk/run during the day, or a hike in the Oakland Hills in the afternoon.

About: I offer a quieter, more individualized kind of dog sitting. I only take dogs from one household at a time, so your dog won’t be sharing the space with a rotating group of other dogs. That allows me to give them a lot of individual attention and to keep their routine as familiar as possible. I’m a licensed acupuncturist and a therapist in training, so being reliable and observant is a big part of my professional life. I’m also very conscientious about following your instructions closely. I know how much the little details matter, and I make a point of keeping track of feeding schedules, medications, walks, sleeping arrangements, and the routines that help your dog feel at home. I have firsthand experience caring for an anxious dog who later developed dementia and physical limitations. Because of that, I’m especially comfortable with senior dogs and dogs who are sensitive or easily overwhelmed. I understand how much patience and consistency can matter when a dog needs extra support. I’m especially available on weekends, when I can spend plenty of time with your dog rather than fitting visits around a packed schedule. Depending on their personality and energy level, we might have a quiet day at home, take neighborhood walks, or head out to places like Piedmont Park, the Albany Bulb, or the beach. I want your dog to feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away, and I want you to feel completely confident that someone is really paying attention to them. Pet care fits best into my schedule on weekends, when I have plenty of time to give dogs attention, walks, companionship, and a relaxed home environment. I’m generally available from Friday evening through Sunday and can often accommodate weekend boarding or daytime care. During the week I work a regular professional schedule, so I’m intentional about only accepting bookings when I know I can provide the time and attention a pet needs. When a dog is staying with me, I want them to be part of my routine rather than squeezed into it. I take safety and trust seriously and make a point of following each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. In my home, I provide a calm, comfortable environment and make sure dogs have appropriate supervision, regular walks and potty breaks, fresh water, and plenty of attention. I’m careful about feeding instructions, medications, leash safety, and any behavioral or health concerns you share with me. I also like to know about a dog’s personality, triggers, routines, and preferences ahead of time so I can help them feel comfortable and settled. If I’m caring for a pet in your home, I’m respectful of your space and follow your instructions closely. I’m also happy to send updates and photos so you know how your pet is doing while you’re away.
“Len was fantastic! He took care of our pup Wisco after our last minute change of travel plans for 4th of July weekend. Our dog is older, had just started some medication, and also is afraid of fireworks (so not ideal to be away from home during 4th of July). That said, Len made sure to understand her sensitivities so he could create an environment where she felt safe/comfortable given the holiday weekend. He shared the cutest photos of her while we were away, and we came to a very happy dog. Would absolutely book with Len again.”
