“Astrid was a lifesaver! The dog sitter for my active Aussie Shepard/pitbull mix had a medical emergency and she agreed to watch my Lola on a week’s notice. Lola can be a handful (she is very hyper until she gets used to people and is reactive towards other dogs) but Astrid and her family were so sweet and patient to Lola that she settled in quickly. Astrid provided updates regularly which reassured Lola was well loved. Will definitely hire Astrid again to dog sit Lola since Lola had such a great time!”

“Meli, was super responsive and flexible. We enjoyed meeting her for a quick walk through before our trip. Our cat is typically a scaredy cat and runs away from strangers, but she was curious and open to meet Meli. I think her calming presence put her at ease. We have a regular sitter but she wasn’t available and we had to scramble last minute. Meli was a great surprise. Would book again if needed.”

“Even when I was halfway around the world from our cat Sassy, I truly appreciate how Maggie helped put both me and my wife at ease. Updates arrived like clockwork, full of slow blinks and play. I can see that Sassy was truly happy, and it goes to show how great Maggie is at what she does. She even took care of day-to-day things around the house! Top marks all the way.”

“Melina did such a great job drooping in and feeding my elderly cat, Momo. She was prompt with timing and sent lots of pictures and updates. I could tell that Momo really liked her 🥰 would definitely recommend Melina to anyone!!”

“Suzanne took great care of my two cats, including giving medication twice per day and making sure the boys had a lot of different play opportunities. I’d have no concerns booking Suzanne again!”

“Nicky was a lifesaver! She was able to help us out after needing to be out of town unexpectedly for a family emergency. She took amazing care of our two kitties, made sure the litter boxes were clean, and kept the house super tidy. I would recommend here 100%. She was communicative, responsive, flexible, and just terrific.”
“Vania was so sweet with our 8 mo old puppies! We felt at ease during our travels. She took them on long walks and even gave them a bath since the days were quite warm. Thank you again Vania!”

“Sage was amazing with our two kitties while we were on vacation! Even our shy boy warmed up to them, which is saying a lot! Sage even helped water our plants and clean the litter boxes. “Baxter has stayed Andrea and her pups twice for daycare, with hopefully more days to come! Andrea has a gentle, kind spirit and seems very attuned to a dog's needs. At our meet & greet, she asked great questions about Baxter and his routines. She provided fun updates with pics a few times a day -- much appreciated!”

“Our pupp was well cared for. Charlene communicated regularly over the 24 hour stay - sent updates and pictures. Lou was well cared for and exhausted after a fun day with new friends.”

“Lynn is so attentive and kind. Would highly recommend!! She sent so many photos, went on a long hike with my high energy dog, and my dog came home exhausted I know she had a blast.”

“Tamara is wonderful with my pup. She’s flexible which works great with my schedule. Ruby loves going to her & her dog Finn. We’re happy to be repeat customers.”
“Alejandra is the best! She took such good care of MoMo and sent me photos & updates throughout the day. This is my 3rd booking with her and my trust in her grows each time - Tysm Alejandra!”

“We love how thoughtful Kelly is in her approach to taking care of pets and handling so many details to ensure that our Snowy had a wonderful time. Her set-up is top notch and we felt our Snowy was in great hands. Thank you, Kelly.”

“Bernie had such a lovely time with the crew! Kim and Jeff were so lovely, patient, and kind to him. We received plenty of photo and text updates throughout the day, which made us feel so confident about leaving our fur baby with separation anxiety in their care. Highly recommend ?”

“Chad took excellent care of my young and energetic greyhound with a lot of separation anxiety. When I picked her up she was happy and excited, but she didn’t show any signs of distress. Prior to my dog’s stay at his home Chad had invited us over for a meet&greet and he took a lot of time to inquire about my dog’s character and behaviors, which made me very confident that things would be alright. Chad was also willing to accommodated my travel schedule. I am happy with the experience and hope he will be available next time I have to go out of town.”

“Asha has been amazing with my pup, Rahi. She communicates super well and genuinely loves dogs. I get pictures and videos through the day and I’m so much at peace leaving my Rahi with her. Highly, highly recommend!!”

“My first impression in meeting Shai (I liked this nickname of his, not sure if I spelled it right) was that, he had such a warm and kind energy about him. He made me feel at ease leaving my puppy with him. I had so much anxiety that whole day since this was my first time leaving my puppy (5months) alone with a stranger. She is usually accompanied with her bestie/roommate when someone else dog sits for us. I am very new to Rover. I was sent a lot of photos of her and her environment throughout the night which made me feel reassured that she is in a good spot. We even chatted for a bit when I picked her up and he gave lots of great advice. I am definitely going to be a returning client!”

About: I grew up with 6 pit bulls, taking sun baths with them in my backyard. I’ve volunteered in SF SPCA and donate monthly. My best friend aka Herita is a rescue, she’s been with me for over 3 years now. I believe animals have taught me how to love unconditionally and responsibly. Calm, trust and safety are my top priorities. I hope you give me the chance to connect with you and your fur baby/ babies. I work from home. I normally take Hera on a walk every morning for about 30 mins. Come back and hit the gym. After that I’m free. I can always head over in the am, afternoon or evenings. I have a fenced yard, Herita is spayed and loves to play with other dogs. Her bff is a 3 y/o Doberman. Which I take care of a couple of times a week (take her out on walks and feed her)
“Angel was such a wonderful sitter, and a complete lifesaver! We needed care last minute and she was available. For our first time using Rover, I could not have asked for such a wonderful person. I'm so grateful for her constant communication and reassurance that our Tempi was doing good. Highly recommend her! And if available would love to continue having Tempi stay with her.”

“Faye hosted my baby for doggy day care. Fay had great communication prior and during my dogs stay and sent updates with pictures. I trusted my baby was in good hands. All went well, I definitely recommend Faye!”

“Kai and I enjoyed Chawntea so much that we rebooked. As a first time furbaby mom it’s hard to just leave my baby with anyone. I am so glad to have found her.”

“Tobie had another wonderful stay with Michelle and Mandar. They have a great set up with a yard to play in and he gets lots of love and cuddles. I really appreciated the photo and video updates that Michelle sent throughout the day. They are a very nice family and they show lots of care and attention to the pups that stay with them. We look forward to a return visit!”

About: Hi, I’m Austin – a lifelong dog lover with over 15 years of hands-on experience caring for pups of all sizes and temperaments. I’ve been looking after dogs since I was 12, and it’s more than just a job to me—it’s a way of life. I know every pet has a unique personality, and I take the time to build trust and make sure they feel safe, loved, and totally at ease. Whether your dog’s full of energy or a little shy like my own pup Lady, I’m all about meeting them where they’re at. You can count on me for dependable, compassionate care—and plenty of tail wags. Also, I can teach your dog how to shake within an hour (: I currently work from home and part time as I have my own business that I passively run with a lot of help from my manager. So I have plenty of time for your pets and my own pup I offer a calm, secure environment where pets can relax and feel at home. My house has plenty of space for them to roam inside, plus a large fully fenced backyard for safe outdoor play and fresh air. I always supervise backyard time and tailor the day to match your dog’s energy level and needs. If your pup is crate-trained or needs a quiet space to unwind, I’ve got clean, comfortable crates available. Safety is my top priority—I keep a close eye on each dog and never take on more pets than I can give proper attention to. You can trust that while you’re away, your dog will be in a safe, loving, and well-managed space.

“Sarah was amazing! Great communication, punctual , & seems extremely knowledgeable about pets. We have a rambunctious pup & she was even working with her on her walking skills. I will absolutely be using her again.”

“Eleanna is great! Her experience with dogs is obvious. I can tell she is confident and knowledgeable. About: I’ve always loved pets especially dogs, excited to get your pet some outdoor time! I’m happy to walk any kind of pup and can promise lots of pets and positive affirmations. I work from home so my schedule is flexible, looking to get outside to break up the day and take pups out for some outdoor time and exercise. I am very observant of pets behavior and provide care based on their specific needs. I have worked with anxious pets and am comfortable with techniques to soothe pets and create a calm environment.

“Iryna is great! She was very willing to meet with me and my dog before booking. And she was very reassuring and understanding of having a stranger take care of my dog. She made sure to take pictures and update me on everything with my dog everyday !”

About: I have had my own sweet pup for over 14 years. Assisted heavily during some of the major fires in northern California over the years, working with several professional animal rescue teams. Love dogs of all shapes and sizes just out here hoping to help as many pups as possible. Recently relocated to the Bay Area & while looking for my next full time opportunity decided to lean into some of my passions. Dogs being #1! If I can do that through this app while bringing in a little cash on the side, what could be better? Currently available full time. I’m very active so love taking walks. (My senior dog has slowed down so I’m missing a walking buddy.) I do have a small fenced backyard with grass. Our house is very dog friendly.

About: I have over 6 years of experience as a cat & dog owner. Raised my own dog from a puppy (she’s now a happy 3-year-old Corgi!) and cared for two cats for several years also. I’m well versed in everything from high energy puppy play to the quiet, patient approach many cats prefer. I also have experience fostering dogs with complex behavioral needs, like those struggling with 'stranger danger' and anxiety. I know that building trust takes time & a calm presence. I take care of mine, and others’ furbabies as if they were my own children. As a college student that has classes online, my schedule can be quite flexible. I am happy & willing to work with clients to best help with what they need. Safety is super important to me (as it should be) because I understand you are entrusting me with basically your child. I am very attentive & vigilant. Always keeping an eye on your pet to make sure they are safe, and they’re surroundings are safe for them.
“Haylee is so good with animals! She took the time to let my nervous dogs warm up to her before attempting to leash and walk them. She is very in tune with animal energy which is what I need for my two!! Will definitely book again.”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover with over 20 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs. I currently have a dog of my own and understand just how much our pets mean to us—they’re family. When I moved my dad to California so I could become his full-time caregiver, bringing his dog with us was never a question. He’s an important part of our family and daily life. I previously had another beloved dog from the age of 13 through 27, giving me experience with puppies, adult dogs, and seniors. I’m comfortable providing patient, attentive care and making sure each dog feels safe, loved, and well cared for while their owners are away. As someone who genuinely loves animals, I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. Whether your dog needs a walk, playtime, or simply some extra companionship, I’ll treat them with the same care and attention I give my own. Pet care is already a natural part of my daily routine. I currently care for my own dog, so daily walks, feeding, playtime, and making sure he gets plenty of attention are already built into my schedule. Because I have a flexible schedule right now, I’m able to provide pets with extra attention, companionship, and care throughout the day rather than just fitting them in between other commitments. Whether it’s a walk, a drop-in visit, or keeping a pet company while their owner is away, I enjoy making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved. I believe every pet is happiest when their routine stays as consistent as possible. In a client’s home, I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medications (if needed), playtime, and any household rules. I also make sure pets receive plenty of attention, affection, and exercise while their owners are away. For walks and drop-in visits, I prioritize safety, communication, and making sure each pet’s individual needs are met. I understand that every animal has a different personality and comfort level, so I take the time to build trust and help them feel secure. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to have peace of mind when someone else is caring for your pet, and I treat every animal as if they were my own.
“Sydney was incredible with our Waldo! Our pup often walks better with another doggy friend, and Sydney was open and flexible with scheduling a meet up for our dogs in advance of the week I desperately needed some dog walking help. She included lots of photos & updates and was reliable. My dog always seemed her happiest self when I got home after a long day. 10/10 would book again!!!”

“Another successful walk! Echo seems to have fully warmed up to Laura. She was able to take over the leash and we had a chill walk around a local park. Will definitely try some house sitting in the near future.”

About: I’m a huge animal lover and used to run a grooming salon/daycare and hotel. As a former cat mom, I know how important a good sitter is! If my calendar doesn’t show the day you need, please reach out because it could be a booking error. I look forward to meeting you! I am currently working on Rover only so I will coordinate my routine around your pet’s care. I’m available every day, any times you need! I have a spacious home in a safe neighborhood. We have two beautiful gardens for quick breaks and are nearby parks for more space if needed.
“Sage is literally the best! They are so sweet to our puppy dog, Bonita! They are extremely communicative, thoughtful, and very reliable. They have been an invaluable asset to our family and Bonita loves them so much (as well as their doggie, Doobie)! Highly recommend for your pets needs :)”

About: I am very attentive to the needs of your pets, especially if they are older and slower, but I also enjoy energetic puppies and pets that need some training and just need some positive re-enforcement. I am available to House sit - although I don't know how to reflect that on the website. I actively practice positive reinforcement obedience training. My schedule is open now in general but I may do a retreat every so often. I nearby in the Bay Area, my schedule is more flexible. I prefer to care for pets in their own homes, since I live in a small place. I am attentive to the needs of the pet and if I see that the pet needs exercise, I make sure they get sufficient exercise through their regular routines.
About: We promise your pup will have a great time with us- a daily run, evening stroll, plus unlimited attention from our seven year old daughter! We also have a four-year-old lab mix (Boston) who is great with other dogs and will be happy to have a playmate. We work from home and walk our dog regularly. we'd be happy to take your dog along too. Plus, there are great parks nearby, and I head up to the Oakland hills several days a week. Our home is ideal for dogs, as we have a fully fenced in backyard with plenty of space to run around. Inside, the dogs are welcome to cuddle up on the couch with us and generally be underfoot no matter what we're up to. During weekends, it is common for us to go on longer hikes and take the dogs. On weekdays, we work from home, which means the dogs can hang out where they please, and get plenty of walks throughout the day. We work from home, and our dog wants a playmate! We will let the dogs out to the fenced backyard whenever they like, and always take numerous trips around the block to stretch the legs out. Given that we wake up early to run and start working from home, we prefer drop offs and pickups to be generally between 8:00am and 6:00pm. We have a fenced yard and Boston is a great playmate. Typically the dogs like to be underfoot for most of the day, which is fine as we are working away on our computers. I like to do at least one longer walk/run during the day, or a hike in the Oakland Hills in the afternoon.

Mandar always keeps me updated on how he is doing and sends photos. I am so grateful that I found Mandar because I know he welcomes Teddy into his home and treats him like his own dog. Highly recommend!”

“I received a lot of communication, videos and pictures from Jonathan. It was clear that our Minnie was being taken good care of and having a good time. This made us feel so happy that we can go out of town and leave her in good hands!”

“Leaving our pup Koda with Jeff and Beth always feels good. It’s our second time boarding with them and Koda seems to get so loved up and cared for by them and their sweet kids. We LOVE all of their updates and photos, they’re the best! And we were super grateful they were flexible to extend Koda’s stay one extra night. All in all such a good experience and I’m sure Koda is looking forward to going back! Thanks Jeff and Beth!”

“Charlene is so wonderful. She took in our senior rescue with stitches at the last moment. She provided excellent care to our pup AND to us, and I will always be grateful. I highly highly recommend Charlene!”

“Spunky did a trial overnight stay and Joann was super sweet and welcoming! I got regular updates, photos, and could tell that my dog was truly comfortable and well cared for.”
