“Thank you thank you thank you!!!, You truly went above and beyond, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Your genuine love and understanding of dogs were evident from the moment I met you. Ziggy instantly warmed up to you, and I could tell he felt safe and loved under your care. The regular updates and adorable photos you shared during his stay brought a smile to my face and reassured me that he was having a fantastic time with you. Ziggy was being a picky eater when I was away and Ethan had excellent recommendations for food toppers and picked them up from the pet store for me! Your friendly and relaxed approach made Ziggy feel right at home, and I could see the bond you formed with him. Thank you so much for treating Ziggy like family and providing him with such a wonderful experience. I give Ethan my highest recommendation to anyone in need of a caring and trustworthy dog sitter. Thank you again <3”

About: Update Sept 2022: I quit my job to pet sit FULL-TIME! Thank you to all my regulars and new clients for supporting me and letting me do what I love most!!! Hi, my name is Charlene! I am a full-time experienced pet sitter. I am the primary caretaker who will watch over your pet but if I ever need assistance, my partner Chai (who is also an experienced Rover pet sitter) is there to help care for your pet. This ensures that your pet will always have someone looking after them! Together we share over 10 years of experience caring for animals and have taught our friends and family how to care for dogs & cats - some of whom have also joined Rover. I have personally cared for over 200+ pets and worked with a variety of breeds, age, and different temperaments. My method of care is to work with your pet’s individual needs with the goal that they will feel happy and cared for here! A bit of my background: Before I started petsitting, I was a veterinary technician and my goal was to be a veterinarian. However my experience witnessing surgery and often seeing pets at their worst made me decide the field was not for me. I am so happy I discovered pet sitting as an alternative where I can provide love, attention, and care for animals without the surgical aspect! Seeing animals at their happiest makes me happy and feels so rewarding. I appreciate my experience working as a vet tech because it helped me gain more experience caring for animals and administering medications when needed. I have also previously raised charity and volunteered at my local animal shelter to help foster stray kittens but am no longer active due to my busy petsitting schedule. What to expect during your pet’s stay here: DOGS: LARGE FENCED BACKYARD: - We have a large double-fenced backyard for your dog to play, exercise, sunbathe, and relax. There is also a shaded area to cool off. We also have air-conditioning inside the house! FREE-ROAMING COMMUNITY: - We encourage socialization! The pups play and sleep in the communal living room. Senior pups or nervous pups that prefer their own space have the option to have their own private room or settle with me in my room :) SAFETY & SUPERVISION: - We do NOT accept aggressive or sick dogs for the safety of our pups. All dogs MUST be vaccinated and on flea preventative prior to their stay. - Doggy camera to check on the pups - Doggy gate to minimize risk and prevent uncomfortable situations - Heavyweight dog-proof trash bin to stop opportunists - Walking distance to the vet hospital *Rates fluctuate depending on slow/busy days and holiday demand. Please feel free to let me know how I can best care for your pet. Thank you! :)

Natalia A.
“My first experience with Natalia when I was out of town for several days was so good that I have used her again for a second extended time away and will continue to do so. My two cats are super comfortable with her. One is 17 years old and on medication's twice a day which Natalia conscientiously made sure she had. The other is 11 years old and very skittish so it was a great surprise that she actually came out the first time Natalia was here. She did a great job making sure the cats were fed and sat with them to give them full attention and pet them; well, at least the older one while the younger one watched. She sent me updates both morning and night with photos. My trash cans were taken out and brought in, all instructions were followed carefully, and the cat area and kitchen were all cleaned. I recommend Natalia without hesitation.”

Lucas K.

“I was very pleased with Lucas’ care for Brutus and give him 5 well-deserved stars! From the very beginning, he was professional, timely and communicative. He provided regular updates during his walks and was wonderful with Brutus. He followed instructions to a tee and was a great listener. I came home to a happy & blissfully tired Brutus everyday this week. I’d recommend Lucas to anyone looking for a caring and efficient dog walker :)”

Lilian v.

“Lilian was very responsive and reliable, and most importantly Kimmy was very calm with her and in her presence. Lilian made sure to come and meet Kimmy before sitting her and that gave me a huge peace of mind.”

Nancy L.

“Nancy replied quickly to a last minute request and was able to take in all the necessary information to take my pup out on several long walks over a few days. She communicated about her check in/out times and sent updates. I would contact her again!”

Cindy C.

“Cindy has been such a great help and it gives me peace of mind to know our dog is in caring and reliable hands. Cindy is very responsive and always sends photo updates on how the walk went. I would highly recommend Cindy to anyone who is looking for personalized pet care. :-)”

Colette M.

“Colette is so sweet and responsible and my dog loved her upon meeting her. She’s a natural with dogs and she does a great job at updating me of any issues and keeping me posted with photos of my pup! I absolutely recommend her!”

Asta Y.
“Asta is really wonderful dog owner and would definitely be a dog sitter that you can trust! I can see her passion and love for dogs. She is responsible and responds in a timely manner. She dedicates a lot of time and care for her dog.”

Kaitlyn D.
“Kaitlyn is always at her best when she’s got dogs in her life. She understands the importance of the love and care that is needed to ensure they feel safe around her and the environment they are walking in. She is a disciplined walker that can be flexible to any sort of walk/care routine having had experience with both active and senior pets. She is responsible, attentive to details, and is a great communicator. Her customer service background allows her to adapt to the style of communication that you deem necessary. Most importantly, Kaitlyn is passionate about dogs; she loved them with all of her heart, and I think dogs sense that and love her back.”

About: I’ve spent my adult life serving people but I’ve always enjoyed working with animals. Have taken care of the family dogs since I was 10 and have helped with watching my family, friends, and neighbors animals ever since. I currently work part time in the evening so my schedule allows for lots of day time pet care. I usually take my girlfriend’s two adventure pups to Point Isabel, walk around lake Merritt, hike up in the hills or stroll through town. Typical day starts with a long walk around the neighborhood with intermittent breaks in the gated back yard. Dogs stay close to me so I keep a close watch. Lots of treat training and positive reinforcement. I respect the rules of any owners house and how they would like their pet taken care of.

About: I’ve taken care of pets since I was 10 and I’ve always treated them like my own. I can administer oral and topical medication, I’ve cared for pets from <10 lbs to 50lbs. I’ve even helped a cat give birth to 6 beautiful healthy kittens. I’m currently laid-off and looking for work. During this free time I’ve been taking my dog out for more walks, trips to the park, and even car rides. So I would love to help you out by sharing that love and care with your pup as well. I live in an apartment complex, but I take my dog out on walks frequently and we take trips to parks/dog parks daily. Supervised playtimes and lots of cuddles. I also h
