About: I’ve loved animals my entire life! I’ve always had a pet and they’ve ranged from chickens to spiders. I started pet sitting when I was 16 and am currently working at a dog daycare/boarding place and am a dog handler that will love and care for your pups no matter age or size! :))<3 Apart from being a student (on break) I’m also working part-time at a dog daycare on the weekends so during the week I’m usually free! About: Hi! My name is Jasmin, I am 22 years old and live in Oakland, Ca. I have experience with dogs as I own one myself and most of my family own dogs themselves. I have experience with puppies, adults, small, and medium sized dogs. I’ve always had patience and sympathy for animals as they are also living creatures with emotions. From pugs to pitbulls I care for dogs as if they were all mine! I am currently looking for a side job and found this site which I think would be a perfect side hustle as I love dogs and have enough free time ! I also have my own car so mobility won’t be an issue. About: Our pets are family. My approach is a balance of attention and simple structure that makes for happy socialization. My partner and I have always had cats and dogs and I have experience with everything from puppyhood to the special healthcare challenges of senior pets (including administration of oral meds and injected insulin) I used to walk dogs back in college as a part-time job. Now, I am excited to make some new 4-legged friends and get out for some exercise together. I work from home part-time and with a very flexible schedule. I do long walks in the morning and afternoon and, if staying with us, in addition to walks, your doggie will have full access to the yard during the day to sunbathe and play. If house sitting at yours, I will be on hand with your pet at a minimum in the morning, for a few hours mid-day, and then all evening and night. We have a large fenced yard and two small, friendly pups (9lb young female yorkie and 12lb female coton de tulear) to play with. "The girls" are not crated at night, but I am happy to set up your pup's normal sleeping area if staying with us. For dog walking, I do 30-45 minute adventures with priority given to clients located in Oakland's Laurel, Dimond, Maxwell Park, and Redwood Heights neighborhoods. Ideally, your dog loves walking with some friends, but we can customize for personal pup needs.

About: I've taken care of dogs for around 15 years. My friends trust me because I can manage their dogs on long walks and hikes. About: Hi there, my name is Sheelah. I've grown up with animals my whole life, but had to leave them behind once I started college. In the years since, I have developed a passion for caring for other people's animals, and get a lot of satisfaction from providing quality reliable care that puts pet-parents at ease. While growing up, at any given time we'd have 2-4 birds, 2-3 dogs (Rhodesian Ridgebacks and one German Shepard) and up to 5 cats (we took in the stray "foreclosure kitties"). I'm well versed in all forms of animal care, including the ominous tasks of bathing cats and administering medications via food or water. I have over a decade of informal experience walking dogs of about 100 pounds, and am quite comfortable with animals of all sizes. I'm a marathon-runner, so even a full day of the most energetic pups can't tire me out. I've always treated my pets like family and will show the same respect and consideration for yours! My schedule varies depending on which city I'm working in, but I love animals and they are a priority throughout my daily routine. As long as I have 24 hours notice prior to a scheduled walk, I can make it work. My primary job is remote (I work in Environmental Justice, primarily grant-writint and organizing) so I have some flexibility with my schedule. I have completed over 60 sits on TrustedHousesitter in the last 3 years. Afternoons and evenings are usually the best times for walks, but I can accommodate an early-riser if needed. I'm experienced with reactive dogs and am comfortable walking multiple dogs at once (even large breeds) but do let me know if your pup needs a solo walk and I will ensure that they get that. My top priorities are always the health and safety of the animals I care for. I like to meet and greet the dogs I walk with the owner present first, if possible, so they can establish familiarity with my scent and presence. I'm comfortable walking/caring for reactive dogs, and love high-energy animals that need a lot of exercise. It's tick and foxtail season, and I always check the dogs I care for for both of those after every walk.

We also live near dog-friendly nature trails with different routes to explore. Our family is home around the clock and happy to keep your fur baby company wherever they want to hang out. Food is safely stored and fresh water is always available. Your dog will always be on leash outdoors and supervised their entire stay. Our dogs are on flea, tick, and heartworm medication and current on all their vaccinations. Our resident cats stay in their bedroom behind closed doors. We understand anything they can reach is up for grabs so we hide practically everything except their toys, and even that we hide sometimes. Please inquire for outside normal hours.) *According to Rover’s T.O.S, the insurance policy for a night of boarding covers up to 24 hours.
