About: I am a dog walker and trainer based in Emeryville. I am currently working towards my CTC to improve my training skills. I have experience training dogs big and small in single and multi dog homes. I use positive reinforcement (usually food) in my training and do not use aversive tools for training. I love teaching all sorts of behaviors, but especially love training good manners and leash walking skills. I offer regular dog walking for enrichment and exercise as well as training walks that work on walking and public behaviors. For pet sitting: I have owned large and small dogs, cats, insects, rats, fish, and other birds. About: I have been surrounded by animals my entire life, beginning with my childhood growing up on a farm. That early, hands-on exposure taught me the fundamentals of animal care, daily routines, and how to read animal behavior. This transitioned into professional work as a dog trainer at Happy Hound play and daycare in Oakland where I trained and cared for dogs both at the center and on park walks and in home visits. I am able to confidently handle pets of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels from puppies needing structure and basic obedience to older dogs requiring a gentle, patient approach. I have a background in housing and caring for animals. I currently share my home with my own pet, Baloo and my housemates pet Bentley my living space is always dog-friendly. I know exactly what it takes to create a safe, enriching, and comforting environment for visiting animals. I can give owners peace of mind while they are away! I am currently working part-time and have lots of flexibility to work around schedules and to setup routines! I also have transportation to travel.
