About: I have been caring for dogs and cats since childhood and deeply love connecting with animals. I supported my last dog through her later years and have sensitivity to the needs of elder puppies. I also enjoy the energy of younger dogs and live right near San Pablo park for dogs who like to socialize. I mostly work from home with occasional in person meetings during the week. I am available for pet care throughout the week and can let dogs out to the back yard throughout the day. I live in a quiet but lively neighborhood with lots of great areas to walk and sniff. The back yard is fenced in and allows space to lounge in the sun. There are no other pets or humans currently in the house so it is very peaceful and quiet most of the time. I don't take dogs from more than one household at a time. I check in on the pets I care for regularly and track their emotional as well as physical needs, giving pets and butt scratches often!

About: For 5 years I worked at a dog daycare with all kinds of canines! For most of my time there, I was an overnight caretaker, solely responsible for anywhere between 5-99 dogs. I’ve worked with pups of all ages, many breeds, and many needs. Before that, I spent my teenage years volunteering at a local shelter, where I walked and cuddled dogs from all walks of life, and got the hang of getting nervous newcomers out of their shell. And it’s not just dogs I love, but all kinds of critters big and small! I'm a big dog park person too, but I'm picky about it in the best way. About: My family’s had 2 Havanese dogs a little over 3 years now and I take care of them regularly when they go out for the night or leave town. In addition I occasionally sit for family friends who have a Yorkie and used to watch a neighbor’s cat when she was still with us. Most animals find me agreeable and I try to be consistent and loving with any younger ones so that they’re shaped into the best possible pets. I’ve recently left my long-term job to focus on watching/walking pets. I do some gig work to make ends meet but my main passion right now is animal care. I have a spacious loft apartment in Chinatown Oakland in a very safe neighborhood just a few minutes walk from Lake Merritt. Crating (with one provided for me) in the apartment is an option as well as my sectional couch or rug depending on your animal’s preferences.

We will spend time outside exploring our neighborhood or visiting the local dog park and trails. We love playing fetch, teaching and practicing new and old tricks. About: I have been caring for dogs and cats since childhood and deeply love connecting with animals. I supported my last dog through her later years and have sensitivity to the needs of elder puppies. I also enjoy the energy of younger dogs and live right near San Pablo park for dogs who like to socialize. I mostly work from home with occasional in person meetings during the week. I am available for pet care throughout the week and can let dogs out to the back yard throughout the day. I live in a quiet but lively neighborhood with lots of great areas to walk and sniff. When I’m with your dog I like to stimulate their mind by bringing treats and toys and have fun with some training (of course with your permission first!).
