“My dog loves Albina. She has watched Izzy many times. They are the bestest of friends. I always feel so comfortable leaving Izzy with Albina. She is clearly a dog person, knows what she's doing and can connect deeply with Izzy. Such a godsent to be able to have someone I can always rely on with my dog. Thanks again Albina! Until next time. Izzy can't wait to see you again ❤️”

“Alex did a great job looking after our dog for 3 weeks. We received regular updates and pictures throughout the trip which made us feel at ease She is quick with communications when coordinating pickup/dropoff. Overall we had a great experience and would book with Alex again!”

“It was our first time rover-ing with our new dog so we were a little nervous but they took great care of Francine! It’s clear that they are dog lovers and made Francine feel right at home. We got a ton of pictures and they even helped coordinate pick up with a friend of ours while we were still out of town. Highly recommend!”

“Sherry is an AMAZING dog sitter!! I trusted her to care for my sweet but nervous 50lb girl, Ellie, and I could not have asked for a better sitter. Sherry was so thorough, she sent plenty of updates throughout and put me at ease! She was super responsive to my dog’s needs, and I could see Ellie just melting and falling in love with her through the updates. She’s got a lovely, clean and safe apartment and she is obviously someone who knows dogs well. I would trust Sherry with dog sitting ANY day! Highly recommend.”

“She is wonderful! I have never seen my dog gravitate towards anyone the way he did with her (he's well, less than friendly with new people). She sends pics throughout the day and is very accommodating!”

“Spunky did a trial overnight stay and Joann was super sweet and welcoming! I got regular updates, photos, and could tell that my dog was truly comfortable and well cared for.”

“If I could give Mariola 10 stars I would! It can be very nerve wracking to leave your fur baby somewhere new, especially for an entire week, but immediately, I knew my senior pug Pennie was in excellent hands with Mariola! In fact, so much so, that Pennie was more than content to stick around longer when I came to take her home on day 8. I so appreciate having a loving, caring responsible dog sitter like Mariola so close by to care for my pug while I’m traveling for work. Thank you again so much!”

“Faviano provided the best dog sitting environment ever. He sent great photos, regular updates, and was flexible and responsive. He obviously loves dogs.”

“Chen and his family did a wonderful job taking care of Ume for the week. It was a last minute trip for me, so I was grateful for the quick response and many wonderful updates. He sent professional looking photos of my dog on their walks and daily routine. If you're looking for a dog sitter who will follow your dog's routine and communicate regularly, Chen's your dog sitter. His daughter was there to translate as well and that was helpful in person. I have already booked them for my next trip.”

“Truly such a great experience for my dog. Stephanie was so nice and flexible with my schedule. I needed a last min booking and Stephanie truly went above and beyond to help accommodate and give my dog a great time. She exposed my pup to some new activities, like bike riding, which he loved!! It was also my pups birthday when she took care of him and she even gave him a little homemade peanut butter lick mat to celebrate. You won’t regret booking with Stephanie if you’re looking for someone to treat your pup like her own! :)”

“Leonard truly came through for us on a last-minute trip out of town. A devoted dog person through and through, he kept us updated with photos and was incredibly communicative. His care and attention made him our favorite dogsitter to date. We’ll definitely be booking with him again and again!”

“Mary is wonderful! We recently adopted our dog from a shelter and he has some separation anxiety, so we weren't sure how his first overnight stay would go, but Mary's patient and thoughtful approach helped him feel comfortable quickly. We appreciated that she set up a meet & greet with her dog in advance, and then was in touch throughout his stay. We'll be sure to book Mary in the future.”

“5/5 is not enough! Thank you Jenna for taking the best care of our dog Lucky. You made him feel at home immediately and provided updates with photos frequently. I’d recommend Jenna to anyone.”

About: Hi! I’m Alejandra! I’m a WFH dog mom based in downtown Oakland who treats every dog as if they were my own. I know how important it is to feel confident leaving your dog with someone else, so I care for each pup the same way I’d want my own dog cared for: with love, patience, and attention. Because I work from home, your dog will get plenty of supervision, cuddles, and a calm, home-style environment. I love staying in touch with pet parents and regularly send photo and video updates so you always know how your dog is doing. While I don’t have a private yard, I live in a dog-friendly building with a secure, fenced dog park, and I take dogs out frequently for walks and supervised play (with owner approval). My goal is for both you and your dog to feel comfortable and at ease while you’re away, and I’m always happy to schedule a meet & greet 🐾 **For house-sitting/dog walking/check in bookings, I come alone — I do not bring my dog with me. This allows your pup to stay in their own familiar space with my full attention and care I work from home but My world revolves around my dog. What he says goes lol jk but I do love to do things that include him and other pups and make them as happy as possible bc they truly deserve it. I provide a calm, loving home environment and follow each dog’s routine closely. I focus on safety, supervision, positive reinforcement, and making every dog feel comfortable and cared for. My apartment building has it's own private dog park we can safely enjoy as well, I have my own dog at home, so I’m careful about slow introductions and only accept dogs that are friendly with other dogs.
“Eunjee was a great sitter for Bubble! Very flexible, communicative, and responsive. She sent daily photos and updates, which I really appreciated. I felt comfortable knowing Bubble was well taken care of.”

“First time using Rover and we were very happy! We felt comfortable knowing our dog was in good hands, and got updates daily. We were nervous about our dog trying to slip out the front door in a new environment, but Rob's gated entryway put us at ease.”

About: Hey there! 🐾 My Wi-Fi name is "House of Dogues". That probably tells you everything you need to know about me. I've been around pups my whole life: walks, sits, feedings, bath time, you name it. Friends, family, neighbors have all trusted me with their fur babies, and I take that seriously. But also I make it really fun. Here's what makes me a little different: I follow the dog's lead. Some pups want a big adventure. Others want a slow sniff-everything kind of walk (honestly iconic). On our walks, they pick the route. I'm just happy to be invited. I also put together little enrichment activities because a stimulated dog is a happy dog, and yes, I talk to them like they understand everything I'm saying, because they do. I'm a big dog park person too, but I'm picky about it in the best way. I stick to parks where I already know the people and the dogs, so I know exactly what kind of environment your pup is walking into. No surprises, just good socialization with faces I trust. When your dog stays with me, they get a whole day tailored to their vibe: cozy, active, or somewhere in between. And you? You'll get so many photo and video updates you might actually forget you miss them. Might. At home I live with Totó, my shichihuahua who is fully convinced he runs this household (he does). He's taught me everything about big personality in a small body, and he's an excellent host. I have a special soft spot for senior dogs. I know how to give them the patience, gentleness, and extra love they deserve. My clients always say the same two things: they got way more updates than they expected, and they finally felt okay leaving their dog with someone. That's the whole goal. 🐶 I work remotely, which means I'm home most of the day and genuinely available, no scrambling, no rushing. Midday walk? Morning sit? Last-minute check-in? I can make it work. Pet care isn't something I squeeze into my routine, it basically IS my routine. Your dog will never feel like an afterthought. Safety is everything to me, and so is making sure your pet actually enjoys their time. In your home, I follow your instructions closely, keep things clean and consistent, and make sure your pup always has water, food, and lots of love. On walks, I stick to routes and parks I know well, with dogs and people I already trust. No random off-leash situations, no surprises. At my place, it's calm, cozy, and very much a dog household (my Wi-Fi is literally called "House of Dogs"). Totó, my shichihuahua, is a great host as long as you respect that he's in charge.

“Sandra was absolutely fantastic caring for my older cats who need lots of attention. She was incredible with communication and arrived on time through two separate bookings. She is very consistent! My two cats were very comfortable with her and seemed to be excited to see her when she would arrive. I highly recommend.”

About: I’m a lifetime cat guy. I think I’ve been hooked since birth. At 10 years old cat-sitting was my very first job! Our own family cats gave me my earliest lessons on animal behavior. When I first moved to the bay I got involved volunteering with Cat Town and Full Circle Cats, and shortly thereafter began working with cats and dogs at the East Bag SPCA. In my role as a humane educator I helped teach children and adults about cat body language, cat training, and how to build relationships of trust with shy cats and kittens. I have gone on to work with lots of amazing wildlife at AZA accredited facilities, but cats will forever be my favorite.

“Everything appeared to be taken care of to my specifications and my cats were happy and healthy when I got home! Matthew was also very communicative and friendly throughout my time being gone. Will book with him again!”

About: I’ve lived with cats for 8 years consecutively, currently I own one cat named Gigi. I’m really good at understanding that cats take time to get used to someone new as well as that just being in the place and being still helps with them getting comfortable with you being in their home.

About: Hi! I’m Kyle, a reliable and attentive pet sitter based in Emeryville. I’ve always been comfortable around animals and understand that every pet has their own personality, routines, and needs. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a quiet companion, I focus on making them feel safe, relaxed, and cared for while you’re away. I’m happy to follow detailed care instructions and keep you updated with messages and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. Services I offer include walks, drop-ins, feeding, playtime, medication if needed, and overnight care depending on availability. My goal is simple: make sure your pet feels comfortable and your mind feels at ease while you’re away.
“Definitely recommend Lia for folks who have kitties that need a safe space while traveling/away from home. Communication was easy & I appreciated the pictures she sent. Although the stay was very brief, she still got my shy kitty out from hiding to enjoy treats. :) Thanks again!!”

“Lucas was wonderful and incredibly accommodating for a last minute urgent booking. He spent extra time with the pets and kept me well updated :) my go-to catsitter from now on,”

“Priscilla took great care of Goldie! She was always communicative of any issues that came up during the visit and prompt with her responses. Would definitely book again!”

“Fuliang did a great job. I felt my cat Alba was well cared for. I got a nice detailed report on the last day. Could have used a picture of my cat everyday but otherwise I am a very satisfied customer and will use this sitter again for my pet sitting needs.”

“Tia was fabulous! Great communication and paid attention to all of my (perhaps gratuitous at times) instructions. My cat is often shy with folks but seemed to warm up to her almost immediately, which— I think— speaks volumes.”

About: I grew up with cats and have been the first call for both of my siblings’ and friends cat & dog sitting needs for years. Just relocated to the Bay Area from Minnesota and making it official on Rover. For the first time in my life, I don’t have a pet of my own. I’d love nothing more than to spend some of that energy on yours. I work remotely and run my own business, so my schedule is insanely flexible. I can work around whatever your cat needs throughout the day. Kittens, seniors, anxious or independent, all personalities; I’ve got it covered.
“Couldn't have asked for better care of my cat, Melek, than what Courtney provided during his 3 day/2 night boarding stay with her. It feels like I've hit the jackpot when it comes to having a home-away from home for Mel! She provided him with exactly the care and stimulation he needs, while also helping him stay relaxed and contented the entire time. Absolutely great experience!”

“Cassandra went beyond expectations and really took care of my little ones. She on time and asked me if there was anything else she could do to help. She was able to wipe down my Persians water eyes (despite his tantrums) and asked questions to clarify the cats needs. I would definitely rebooks and recommend!”

About: I‘ve been rescuing cats since I was a kid. As an adult I continued taking care of more stray cats and they helped learn a lot about FIV, FeLV and the specific needs that senior cats have. As well as bottle feeding multiple litters of kittens and fostering them until they were old enough to be adopted through the shelter.

Perfect for high energy dogs - Prescott

“Ruthy is the best! Huey goes to the dog park multiple times a day and is socializing with the other dogs all day. He comes home tired, happy and hungry. Thank you ruthy!! ”

“Courtney is amazing! Llew has boarded a few times with her (we don’t trust him with anyone else) and this was his first time experiencing Doggy Daycare!! He LOVED it and anytime we pulled onto the street he would be in a rush to go inside and wouldn’t look back. Courtney not only cares so much, but she has also definitely helped with training as I feel like Llew has definitely picked up on Oliver’s great habits. He’s more confident and calm! Courtney has excellent communication and also sends multiple updates and pics throughout the day. Llew is fixed now, but before he’d want to constantly play (puppy energy) and Ollie would always play with Llew no matter what (even if he was tired). He is the sweetest dog. We are so thankful for Courtney and her family!”

“If you're anything like me, the guilt of being away at work all day weighs on me, but knowing that instead, my fur-baby is now getting tons of attention, pets, walks, and love puts my mind at ease. Getting cuddles from Van Joseph and Matthew, the company of their sweet little dogs, and soft blankets to sleep in is priceless! I got so many precious photos which brightened my day! Overjoyed to have found Van Joseph and Matthew to care for my sweet girl Petunia!!”

“Alejandra is the best! She took such good care of MoMo and sent me photos & updates throughout the day. This is my 3rd booking with her and my trust in her grows each time - Tysm Alejandra!”

“Latricia is a really kind person who has taken wonderful care of our dog during boarding and day care. He clearly loves seeing Latricia and hanging out with his dog buddies at her pad. And she sends us really adorable photos every time! We'll definitely continue using her services. Thanks Latricia!”

“Another great stay with Sophia! My dog can sometimes be too nervous to eat when she's away from home even ate her dinner at Sophia's place - a good sign that she's relaxed.”

About: I offer more than just pet sitting—I bring experience in basic obedience training and dog grooming, so your pup gets both love and structure while you’re away. I’m attentive to each dog’s unique personality and needs, and I make sure to stick closely to your routine to keep them happy and comfortable. Whether it’s reinforcing good behavior, helping with leash manners, or giving a quick brush-out after playtime, I go the extra mile to provide top-quality, personalized care. I’m a full-time online student, so I’m home and available throughout the week. That makes it easy for me to give dogs plenty of walks, playtime, and attention. I love fitting pet care into my daily routine, and your pup will always have company and care while they’re with me! In my home, I have my fur baby who will keep your fur baby company, I make sure pets feel comfortable and safe by giving them a cozy space, regular walks, playtime, and plenty of attention. I keep their routine as close to what they’re used to as possible, including feeding times and any special needs. When I’m in a client’s home, I treat it with the same respect and care—I follow their instructions closely, make sure pets have everything they need, and give them lots of love and company while their owner is away.
“Jesse was so great with our puppy. His Shepards welcomed our pup as one of their own and we are so happy to see our pup is having a fun time while his owners are at work. Our pup always comes home tuckered out and is excited to go every morning! We will continue to use Jesse for all our dog sitting needs!”

“We could not have asked for a better first Rover experience! Alisson was attentive to our dog's needs and made him feel welcome in her home - enough to fall asleep on her lap! She was very communicative and flexible and would definitely recommend for your doggy daycare needs”

About: I’ve worked professionally with dogs since 2013 as a canine behavior consultant and dog trainer, and pet care is my full-time work. I provide boarding, training, and behavior consultations from my 1200 square foot, open floor plan, work/live Storehouse Lofts location, situated in Alameda Point. Because I work from home, dogs in my care aren’t left alone for a full workday, and I board only a limited number of dogs so each guest can settle in at their own pace in a calm, comfortable environment. I am PetTech certified in CPR and First Aid for pets. Every stay begins with a Meet & Greet to make sure it’s a good fit, and I provide regular photo updates so you can feel confident your dog is safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Dog care is my full-time profession, so your dog will spend the day with me rather than being left alone while I'm at another job. The longest I typically leave home is about two hours. The rest of the day is spent providing potty breaks, walks, play, enrichment, rest, and plenty of individual attention while keeping each dog's normal routine as consistent as possible. Boarding Hours & Pick-Up Policy: Boarding drop-offs and pick-ups are available between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM. Pick-ups after 1:00 PM on the final day are billed at my standard daycare rate, regardless of the original drop-off time. I do not schedule pick-ups or drop-offs after 8:00 PM. If travel delays make an after 8:00 PM pickup unavoidable, your dog's stay will be extended until the following day, subject to availability. Your dog's safety and comfort are my highest priorities. My 1,200 square foot work/live loft is located in Storehouse Lofts, one of the Bay Area’s most dog-friendly work/live communities. The building features a private resident dog park just steps from my door as well as a complete, professionally outfitted dog bathing room (replete with with grooming tub and high velocity dryer). The building is newly renovated, and has an interesting history: it was formerly the general supply warehouse for the US Navy. It is located within Alameda Point, the name given to the massive redevelopment of the former Alameda Naval Air Station. The Alameda Point redevelopment project has turned this huge former military base into miles of safe and quiet walkable areas, waterfront parks and recreation spaces along with warehouses (like my building) and hanger spaces converted into a mix of small businesses, artisan workspaces, startups, sports facilities, bakeries, breweries, and more. For dogs who enjoy more high-energy social time and room to run, the huge Main Street Dog Park (with scenic City and Port of Oakland views) is also within walking distance. My loft space is secure, has heat and A/C, and I run a HEPA air purifier continuously. The loft has 14 foot ceilings, and there are huge original warehouse style windows that let the sun shine in, and open for fresh air. It is a quiet, relaxing, and calm space. Every boarding stay begins with a meet & greet to make sure we're a good fit and to help your dog settle in comfortably.

About: Hello! My name is Shanna (like banana) a non-profit consultant based in the Bay Area. I love animals and have lots of experience caring for pets (cats and dogs) either in your home or at my house. I'm interested in helping you feel peace of mind knowing that your fur friend is taken care of. Please ask me any questions. I'm looking for opportunities that make sense with my schedule, and I'm happy to accommodate your needs. Thank you for your consideration. I'm currently working on a contract basis and primarily remote so I have time to stop by your home or house-sit as long as there is reliable Wi-Fi. Typically, when pet-sitting for friends, I will feed, walk, or change out litter boxes as often as needed. If I am not staying at the owner's home full-time, I will make sure the animal gets sufficient interaction and love daily. If an animal is staying in my home during the day, I have a fenced-in, locked yard (though I generally wouldn't have an animal outside without me) and there is also a dog-friendly park less than two blocks from my home.

“I felt a little unsure of dropping my dog off to someone I didn't know but started to feel more comfortable the more I spoke with Hye. Then Rudy, my pup, and I met Hye in person and we both were put very much at ease. Hye and Rudy hit it off immediately and I was fine leaving him with her. Hye updated us with photos and really "loved" Rudy and my wife and I were able to relax and enjoy our evening. I would totally recommend Hye and her husband for the care of their family member.”

“Wow! That’s a busy walk. If there are distractions, I just give Molly the command to leave it and continue to walk. I expect her to behave with good leash manners. When she has the privilege to be off leash, it’s fair game to chase a squirrel or play with a dog if appropriate. Please do not worry about reporting back you gave her medication on time. I trust you:)”

“Very nice family and good enviroment for my baby otis!!! Sent me updates and communicated with me throughout the day!!! Would definetly take my otia back again. She helped on short notice too!!!”

“This was my first time leaving Nala with Nancy for daycare, and it was a fantastic experience. Nancy is an excellent communicator, and I really appreciate her sending me photos of Nala playing with other pups from daycare. When I picked Nala up, she was happy and tried out all of the play. I’ll definitely be bringing Nala back for daycare and boarding.”

“Kyle was great! Very responsible and loving to our little Gingi golden. She's got a mind of her own but was very responsive to Kyle. We will be happy to have him take care of our girl again.”

“Matthew was communicative, punctual, and good with our three dogs. He was able to get all three of them walking quickly, a decent distance, and going to the bathroom, which is very valuable for us! We will definitely request Matt again!”

“Professional & good communication! Devyn asked lots of good questions on our meet-and-greet which set my mind at ease. Happy to have someone reliable for dog walking needs.”

About: I provide calm, attentive care with a focus on routine and safety. I understand that every dog is different, and I aim to keep their environment steady and comfortable while you’re away. I enjoy taking dogs on regular walks and occasional hikes, giving them time to explore while keeping things structured and safe. I adjust to each dog’s energy level, whether they prefer an active outing or a more relaxed pace. I’m organized, communicative, and reliable, and I take pride in making pet parents feel comfortable and informed. You can expect clear updates, thoughtful communication, and plenty of photos so you can feel at ease while your dog is in my care.
“Super punctual, flexible & cared for our girl really well! He took her on different routes every day to keep her entertained and was v communicative. This was great peace of mind since we were on holiday! Would highly recommend Gary and rebook for any future needs!”

I have a very flexible schedule and am able to attend to your pets at any time. Day or night, I am available and happy to help. Caring for a pet requires love, responsibility, and attention to their needs. I will ensure that your pet is taken care of as you would care for your pet while you’re away.

About: Hi, I’m Len, and I’ve been lifelong passionate dog lover. With over 30 years of hands-on experience with dogs of all kinds from energetic puppies to wise senior pups and everything in between I understand what it takes to provide excellent care tailored to each dog’s unique personality and needs. Dogs seem to take to me naturally, and I love building trust and strong bonds with every pup I meet. Whether your furry friend needs long walks, a playmate, or a quiet companion, I’m here to ensure they feel safe, loved, and happy while you’re away. Living in Oakland, I’m familiar with all the best parks, walking routes, and local spots where your dog can enjoy the outdoors. My goal is to make sure your dog feels comfortable and cared for, just as if they were my own. I work part time from home and have a very flexible schedule. I would only accept jobs that I’m certain I can attend to that accommodate my schedule. I live in a community building with security staff 24 hours, it’s very dog friendly. There are special accommodations for dogs, such as a fenced in area for dogs.

About: I've been watching dogs for about 7 years now, mostly small and medium dogs, and I have a real soft spot for herding breeds. I love going on walks with them, usually around 30-45 minutes in the neighborhood, to help burn off their energy and keep them active. I especially love walking younger, energetic dogs because I can go longer with them (getting my steps in) but, I also have a big love for senior dogs and take it slower and easier for them. Every dog is different, so I like to give them what they need — whether that's a good long walk or just sweet cuddles and their own space to relax. I try to keep things calm for them the whole time they're with me. I also send lots of pictures throughout the day so you can see your pup enjoying themselves and know they're safe and having a good time. Right now I'm actually watching a friend's dog, and I'd love to bring that same care to your pup too. I do ask for at least 24 hours' notice when possible, just so I can work around everyone's schedule and be fully ready for your dog. I have a lot of flexibility right now and I'm available throughout the week and most weekends, aside from Saturday nights. That means I can usually work around whatever schedule fits you and your pet best. I prefer taking care of animals in their own home. When their family is away, that can be a stressful, uncertain time for them, so making sure they still feel safe and at home is always my top priority. I keep their routine as normal as possible — same feeding times, same walks, same spaces — so the change feels as small as possible for them. If we're at my place instead, I love watching them explore and get curious about a new environment. Helping them feel comfortable and at ease is always the most important thing to me, whether that's in their home or mine.
About: I've taken care of all kinds of dogs since my teenage years. In the last decade, I have been the go to person in my community to dog sit and walk dogs due to my flexible performer and chef schedule, and in the last couple of years, I have also supported some of my loved ones senior dogs who have since transitioned. It is an honor to care for our furry loved ones, and I look forward to meetings your bundles of joy and taking them for neighborhood walks and to dog parks if they like those! I currently work part time so I am flexible during the day for drop ins and dog park visits. Happy to create a schedule that works with your needs. I am happy to support any dogs who experience separation anxiety by spending extended time together in the home, on hikes, or on walks. As a chef, if you are looking for support with preparing food for senior dogs or dogs in recovery, I would also be happy to support you there as well.
“Priscilla is so great! She’s walked Sunny before, but she sadly recently lost her vision and no longer enjoys walking 💔 Priscilla is so patient and kind and empathetic. I can tell Sunny is getting more comfortable and confident walking outside 💕”

About: I've grown up with big dogs and am now a dog and cat mom. Before my dog I boarded friends' dogs with me, watching them while they were away. My big dog is from the shelter and is fearful, so I have experience with shy shelter dogs, training, and managing their triggers. I also walk others' dogs. My schedule is flexible and is different depending on the day of the week. Communication is key , but I will try to make things work. At clients' homes I will follow their instructions and communicate any questions. I make sure the doors are locked when I leave, and try to be careful entering so animals don't potentially run away. Depending on instructions or pet temperaments, I will observe and work with them for enrichment and socialization needs. I make sure there is enough water in the bowls and feed as needed. For cats, I clean the litterboxes. They will not be in my home since I have pets.
About: I have work with dogs my entire life, but currently I run a small dog daycare/boarding facility at my home with my husband so our sole focus is caring for our pups and we will happily give your pup all our love and attention! I’m responsible, respectful and very organized which allows us to run a safe and stable home environment for each one of our dogs. I’m available daily for dog walks, daycare and/or boarding. My current small daycare group is about 3-5 regular dogs that come on different weekdays. I’m a firm believer in clear, calm communication with any dog that I am working with and I only use positive reinforcement. My yard and entire property is fully fenced with a 6ft wood privacy fence and there is an extra gate between the front and back yards for extra safety. I’m available pretty much anytime for dog walk or boarding and I currently run a small group dog daycare in my home with my partner between the hours of 7:30am and 5:30pm Monday to Friday. My current group of regulars (that come varying weekdays) includes extremely well socialized dogs of all sizes most of which are between 3 and 6 years old. It’s a great environment for a dog to build social skills and confidence in a calm, well adjusted pack. I live in West Oakland (very close to the Bart station!) and my home and yard are very secure with a 6ft tall redwood fence surrounding the entire property. My yard is pretty large and great for off leash fun as it’s completely safe and secure. I live only with my husband and our two very friendly Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who loves every dog they has ever met. Oliver even has a way of making dogs that are usually not dog friendly play as if they were a puppy - it seems to be his super power! While Opal is just a love who is always ready for fun in the yard or cuddles on the couch.

“We feel like we hit the jackpot finding John to be our regular walker. He treats our dog just like we do (and talks to our dog just like we do too, which if you’re a pet owner, you know is the sign of a good caretaker). Our dog absolutely loves him and even though we unfortunately don’t need a daily walker right now, we are still asking John to keep walking our dog every week because we don’t want to lose him!”

About: I’ve had my husky mix kuro for 10 years and just recently got my baby cat loki! I absolutely love my babies, my main objective is for you to feel safe, comfortable and worry free while you’re away from your baby! Taking care of a husky mix and cat is a bit of a handful and definitely requires a lot of care and attention daily, luckily my roommate and best friend is there with me to watch and care for my babies when im busy! I’d treat my clients home with respect as if it were my own! I would care for their babies like I would mine! I want my clients to feel safe and comfortable when their babies are in my care!
About: I have extensive experience and a high comfort level with sensitive and reactive pets (both cats and dogs). If your cat is really shy, or your dog gets stressed by other dogs on walks, they’re a great fit for me. I’m highly attuned to the environment and know how to manage challenging situations. I’m also great with dogs that are highly food motivated and can ensure they don’t eat anything off the ground. My focus is always on creating a calm, safe, and attentive care experience for pets with special needs. My work shifts are typically only 6 hours long, so I’m available for visits before and after work. I can offer generous blocks of time every day to make sure your pet receives all the dedicated time they need. I am available for drop-in visits, house-sitting, and overnight stays. This allows me to provide your pet with the most low-stress experience possible as they remain in their familiar environment. I don’t own a car and am unable to host pets at my own home, but I am happy to spend as much time as needed at your residence and maximize the time spent with your pet within your local area.
“I have booked walks and boarding with Nancy quite a few times, and find that she is always communicative, thoughtful, and helpful. My dog can be difficult sometimes when it comes to cooperating with what you want her to do, especially on hot days, and Nancy got creative to help ensure my pup got the most out of their time together. Highly recommended!”

“Alex did a great job looking after our dog for 3 weeks. We received regular updates and pictures throughout the trip which made us feel at ease She is quick with communications when coordinating pickup/dropoff. Overall we had a great experience and would book with Alex again!”

“Spunky did a trial overnight stay and Joann was super sweet and welcoming! I got regular updates, photos, and could tell that my dog was truly comfortable and well cared for.”

“First time using Rover and we were very happy! We felt comfortable knowing our dog was in good hands, and got updates daily. We were nervous about our dog trying to slip out the front door in a new environment, but Rob's gated entryway put us at ease.”

“Nasreddine was great! I had a last minute trip and luckily she was available to watch my Peaches. She sent daily pictures and updates and treated her like she was her own. Peaches came home happy from all the walks and play time with her new friend. Will definitely use her services again.”

“Nova loves staying with Ruthy! When they first met, Nova was hesitant to hop in the car with her. Now she jumps right in, ready to spend the day together and hang out with her new friends. I'm sure she is already looking forward to her next visit. :)”

“Inkoo was a wonderful host for Tino, keeping him happy with lots of long walks, naps in the sun, and snuggles even on the bed. I loved her daily updates with pictures of him clearly relaxed and enjoying himself. Top notch care! I appreciate that she took my request with fairly short notice and was able to do a meet and greet the next day! We will definitely be reaching out to her again for future boarding needs.”

“Thank you Megan & Jenny! I needed to board my dog for one night with short notice and Megan & Jenny were able to board him. They responded quickly to my request and communicated with texts and photos during my dog's stay. My dog looked happy and it seems like he was well cared for. I will be contacting Megan & Jenny again for dog sitting and boarding.”

“Robert and Brian truly loved up our pup Koda! We got lots of pictures of walks through parks and running and sweet belly rubs. They went out of their way on New Years Eve to help keep Koda comfortable and we’re so grateful for that. Koda was wonderfully sleepy when we picked her up so we could tell she had fun! Thanks so much Robert and Brian!”

“Alexis was great. Very communicative and was able to take care of my dog that had many special needs, many medications to take, and a specific routine needing to follow. I highly recommend booking with Alexis!”

“Our boy lives hanging out with Michelle and her hubby. She takes such loving care of him and we know he is in good hands. Michelle is easy to communicate with and keeps us updated throughout his stay! Highly recommended!”

“I can tell Sybil had a great time because when it was time to go she curled up in Maria's lap and didn't want to leave 😅. Maria clearly has a way with dogs and my pup had a great time playing with her son as well. Thanks Maria!”

“Daryl and Andrew were wonderful. They were patient, warm, and very caring with our pup Loki. In addition, they were gracious in enabling us to slightly shift pick up time at the last minute. I would highly recommend them.”

“Ben and his family took the best care of Bruce. Their home was warm and welcoming and Bruce got so much love. Bruce had an infection that they spotted and were very communicative with us. They managed to bring Bruce to the vet so he could get the right medication/treatment. We were really grateful to be informed and really trust Ben and his family who took such excellent care of Bruce.”

“Leaving our pup Koda with Jeff and Beth always feels good. It’s our second time boarding with them and Koda seems to get so loved up and cared for by them and their sweet kids. We LOVE all of their updates and photos, they’re the best! And we were super grateful they were flexible to extend Koda’s stay one extra night. All in all such a good experience and I’m sure Koda is looking forward to going back! Thanks Jeff and Beth!”

“It was such a joy to have Shatese care for my pup Goldie while I was away! Shatese provided pictures and updates throughout Goldie’s stay, and I could tell with out a doubt that she was treated very well and happy in her care. I appreciate the fact that when I realized I’d need to board Goldie for a couple extra days, that Shatese was understanding and flexible. Overall I am pleased about Goldie’s stay, and know that if the need arises again for boarding that I’d happily bring her back to the TLC of Shatese and her loving home.”

“Kristen and Ryan were very welcoming of our pup! They were understanding of her nuances and helped her adjust to a new environment fast. They have a nice spacious home with a big backyard that our dog loved relaxing in. Kristen and Ryan were very communicative throughout the stay and sent daily updates with photos. 100% recommend!”
