“Rob was so great. We had a last minute no-show with another sitter one and a half hours before our vacation. I called customer service and they sent out requests. Rob accepted right away and even picked our german shepherd up. We didn't get a chance to introduce them because we were forced to head to the airport while finding arrangements, and our dog was very much on alert (via the cam) when Rob, a stranger to her, picked her up. About: I have work with dogs my entire life, but currently I run a small dog daycare/boarding facility at my home with my husband so our sole focus is caring for our pups and we will happily give your pup all our love and attention! My current group of regulars (that come varying weekdays) includes extremely well socialized dogs of all sizes most of which are between 3 and 6 years old. I live in West Oakland (very close to the Bart station!) and my home and yard are very secure with a 6ft tall redwood fence surrounding the entire property. My yard is pretty large and great for off leash fun as it’s completely safe and secure. I live only with my husband and our two very friendly Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who loves every dog they has ever met. Oliver even has a way of making dogs that are usually not dog friendly play as if they were a puppy - it seems to be his super power! While Opal is just a love who is always ready for fun in the yard or cuddles on the couch.

“Rob was so great. We had a last minute no-show with another sitter one and a half hours before our vacation. I called customer service and they sent out requests. Rob accepted right away and even picked our german shepherd up. We didn't get a chance to introduce them because we were forced to head to the airport while finding arrangements, and our dog was very much on alert (via the cam) when Rob, a stranger to her, picked her up. He handled it extremely well and safely. He took her on a hike and updated us with happy pictures of her being played with and well exercised. “Ruthy is a fantastic find! This was our first time using Rover.com and we really lucked out in finding someone as knowledgeable, responsible, and passionate about dogs as Ruthy. Our dog is a newly adopted large-breed dog with a lot of energy as well as separation anxiety. There are not a lot of sitters that would be able to handle our guy! From the moment we met Ruthy at the meet-and-greet we could tell that she took her job very seriously and knew how to be a responsible dog owner and caretaker. We've used Ruthy once for doggy daycare and once for boarding, and we are going to keep using her again because we could not imagine there being anyone better to care for our pup. “Alexandra was an incredible pet sitter for my almost 3-year-old mini bull terrier. Alexandra is a clear communicator, proactive, kind, responsible, attentive, and loves animals. My dog stayed with Alexandra and her two kiddos for 5 days/nights, and I was able to fully enjoy my vacation because of Alexandra's excellent communication. She kept me updated and texted me each day before I had a chance to worry about anything (after all, she was caring for my fur baby!). I felt at ease knowing that my pup was in loving and attentive hands, and I could text any time I felt the need. My dog is super friendly and also has some behavior quirks. She can get overexcited, and Alexandra had no problem following all the care instructions. She noticed my dog's comfort or discomfort and ensured she got what she needed. When I picked up my pup, she was quite content and even gave Alexandra a little lick goodbye, which told me even more about the care Alexandra and her family gave my little one. “Tim is fantastic. He messages regularly and sends updates throughout the day and a ton of photos. I appreciate that he over communicates like “Alfalfa pooped twice today”. And he’s diligent about keeping Alfalfa clean which as a doodle mom is very important since he can get easily matted or even have random things stuck in his paws. His dog Coco is super sweet and gentle. I think Alfalfa had more energy than her but she’s an older dog and was very patient. I would highly recommend anyone to use Tim. And we plan on using him more often!”
“Henri had a great weekend at Paulina’s! She came out to greet us and then took the leash and introduced Henri to her home-he was so comfortable with her from the start. Our dog has hardly been away from us in his 7 years and I was a little nervous about leaving him with someone new, but I soon realized I had nothing to worry about. Paulina is a very relaxed person and sent updates and adorable photos each day. It made me happy to see him look so at home with her. Don’t let her lack of a backyard discourage you-Henri was happy and tired when we picked him up. We will call on her whenever we need a dog sitter for when we visit our daughter in SF. Paulina was an absolute lifesaver and we are so happy to have found her!”
