About: I grew up with all kinds of family pets and including adopting my own puppy at 17. Since moving to Oakland I’ve been lucky to live with several cats and dogs of roommates of all dispositions (both the roommates and their pets) and now my fiancée and I have a perfect baby angel cat son. I’m comfortable with puppies over 3 months old and mostly potty trained, I don’t mind mouthy or jumpy pups and am happy to discourage behaviors according to their training. I’ve had experience with palliative care for two beloved senior dogs that required a little extra help and care and am happy to show your old buddy patience and TLC. Happy to do easy walks around the block or take longer adventures in Oakland’s redwoods! For cats and dogs I am comfortable administering most medications. I’m currently on a long break from full time work and have open week day availability for walks and visits, and can be available weekends with extended notice Ask someone who always wants pictures of my cat, I am happy to send you as many photos of your pet as you would like! I have a keen attention to detail and an above average ability to follow instructions, and I’m happy to do things your way. I have a backseat dog hammock for my car that make sure dogs of all sizes are able to get comfortable.

About: Since I was 10 years old, I’ve always been in awe of animals and felt a deep appreciation for them. Growing up, I knew I wanted to do something that helped care for and protect them. I’ve always enjoyed helping family and friends take care of their pets—whether that’s walking them, helping bathe them, or simply keeping them company and making sure they feel safe and loved. While I’m new to taking clients through Rover, I’m responsible, attentive, and truly dedicated to giving every pet the care they deserve. I plan my schedule carefully so I can give pets the time and attention they deserve. I only accept bookings that I know I can fully commit to, and I make sure to communicate clearly with pet parents about my availability. While caring for your pets in your home I like to make sure that I’m following any instructions or rules that I’m given in your home. Whether that is cleaning, monitoring activities, and or simply making sure they’re safe. I make sure that I’m not only attending to your pets but also being considerate that I’m in your home and that I am respecting your space.

I live in an apartment and make safety and supervision a priority at all times. Dogs are always leashed when leaving the apartment and carefully supervised in hallways, elevators, and outdoor areas. I make sure each pet has a comfortable and clean space to relax, along with regular walks, potty breaks, playtime, and attention. Since I also have a friendly Miniature Poodle, I would make sure dogs are introduced carefully and that everyone is comfortable around each other. I’m also happy to follow each owner’s feeding schedule, walking routine, house rules, and any special care instructions so their pet can feel as close to their normal routine as possible.

About: Hey there! 🐾 My Wi-Fi name is "House of Dogues". That probably tells you everything you need to know about me. I've been around pups my whole life: walks, sits, feedings, bath time, you name it. Friends, family, neighbors have all trusted me with their fur babies, and I take that seriously. But also I make it really fun. Here's what makes me a little different: I follow the dog's lead. Some pups want a big adventure. Others want a slow sniff-everything kind of walk (honestly iconic). On our walks, they pick the route. I'm just happy to be invited. I also put together little enrichment activities because a stimulated dog is a happy dog, and yes, I talk to them like they understand everything I'm saying, because they do. I'm a big dog park person too, but I'm picky about it in the best way. I stick to parks where I already know the people and the dogs, so I know exactly what kind of environment your pup is walking into. No surprises, just good socialization with faces I trust. When your dog stays with me, they get a whole day tailored to their vibe: cozy, active, or somewhere in between. And you? You'll get so many photo and video updates you might actually forget you miss them. Might. At home I live with Totó, my shichihuahua who is fully convinced he runs this household (he does). He's taught me everything about big personality in a small body, and he's an excellent host. I have a special soft spot for senior dogs. I know how to give them the patience, gentleness, and extra love they deserve. My clients always say the same two things: they got way more updates than they expected, and they finally felt okay leaving their dog with someone. That's the whole goal. 🐶 I work remotely, which means I'm home most of the day and genuinely available, no scrambling, no rushing. Midday walk? Morning sit? Last-minute check-in? I can make it work. Pet care isn't something I squeeze into my routine, it basically IS my routine. Your dog will never feel like an afterthought. Safety is everything to me, and so is making sure your pet actually enjoys their time. In your home, I follow your instructions closely, keep things clean and consistent, and make sure your pup always has water, food, and lots of love. On walks, I stick to routes and parks I know well, with dogs and people I already trust. No random off-leash situations, no surprises. At my place, it's calm, cozy, and very much a dog household (my Wi-Fi is literally called "House of Dogs"). Totó, my shichihuahua, is a great host as long as you respect that he's in charge.

About: I’ve had my husky mix kuro for 10 years and just recently got my baby cat loki! I absolutely love my babies, my main objective is for you to feel safe, comfortable and worry free while you’re away from your baby! Taking care of a husky mix and cat is a bit of a handful and definitely requires a lot of care and attention daily, luckily my roommate and best friend is there with me to watch and care for my babies when im busy! I am extremely attentive to care instructions and well-trained in understanding an animal's wellbeing. About: I've grown up with big dogs and am now a dog and cat mom. Before my dog I boarded friends' dogs with me, watching them while they were away. My big dog is from the shelter and is fearful, so I have experience with shy shelter dogs, training, and managing their triggers. I also walk others' dogs. My schedule is flexible and is different depending on the day of the week. Communication is key , but I will try to make things work. At clients' homes I will follow their instructions and communicate any questions. I make sure the doors are locked when I leave, and try to be careful entering so animals don't potentially run away. Depending on instructions or pet temperaments, I will observe and work with them for enrichment and socialization needs. I make sure there is enough water in the bowls and feed as needed. For cats, I clean the litterboxes. They will not be in my home since I have pets.

About: I've taken care of all kinds of dogs since my teenage years. In the last decade, I have been the go to person in my community to dog sit and walk dogs due to my flexible performer and chef schedule, and in the last couple of years, I have also supported some of my loved ones senior dogs who have since transitioned. About: I’ve been raising a very cute black pug for four years. For some reason, I couldn’t bring him with me and I miss him a lot. I really love dogs, so I’d love to do some dog-related work in my free time. I’m happy to let dogs on the sofa or bed, since I always clean them up after walks to make sure both they and the environment stay clean. I’ve spent time with many different dogs, including some that were initially unfriendly. By offering treats, approaching them slowly, and taking the time to get to know them, I was able to build trust. I’m very patient with dogs! From Monday to Friday, I’m usually out for 2–4 hours a day, but I’m home all day on weekends. During my free time, I’m happy to take dogs out to play. 1. Diet: I carefully control meal portions and feeding times, and always make sure dogs stay hydrated—especially in hot weather. After walks, I wait 5–10 minutes before giving them water. 2. Hygiene: I clean eye discharge promptly and keep both the dogs and their environment clean. 3. Exercise: I walk dogs 2–3 times a day. 30min/walk. 4. Playtime: In my free time, I love playing fetch, tug-of-war, or hide-and-seek with them. 5. Companionship: I spend as much time with them as possible. 6. Safety on walks: Dogs are always leashed outside. I stay alert when they interact with other dogs and separate them immediately if there are signs of aggression. I also make sure they don’t eat things off the ground, and I always clean up after them. 7. Sleeping: I used to sleep with my own dog, so if your dog is used to that, they’re welcome to join me too.

About: I have work with dogs my entire life, but currently I run a small dog daycare/boarding facility at my home with my husband so our sole focus is caring for our pups and we will happily give your pup all our love and attention! I’m responsible, respectful and very organized which allows us to run a safe and stable home environment for each one of our dogs. I’m available daily for dog walks, daycare and/or boarding. My current small daycare group is about 3-5 regular dogs that come on different weekdays. I’m a firm believer in clear, calm communication with any dog that I am working with and I only use positive reinforcement. My yard and entire property is fully fenced with a 6ft wood privacy fence and there is an extra gate between the front and back yards for extra safety. I’m available pretty much anytime for dog walk or boarding and I currently run a small group dog daycare in my home with my partner between the hours of 7:30am and 5:30pm Monday to Friday. My current group of regulars (that come varying weekdays) includes extremely well socialized dogs of all sizes most of which are between 3 and 6 years old. It’s a great environment for a dog to build social skills and confidence in a calm, well adjusted pack. I live in West Oakland (very close to the Bart station!) and my home and yard are very secure with a 6ft tall redwood fence surrounding the entire property. My yard is pretty large and great for off leash fun as it’s completely safe and secure. I live only with my husband and our two very friendly Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who loves every dog they has ever met. Oliver even has a way of making dogs that are usually not dog friendly play as if they were a puppy - it seems to be his super power! While Opal is just a love who is always ready for fun in the yard or cuddles on the couch.
