About: I grew up with dogs and cats and have been pet sitting for friends and family in Minnesota for years. Just relocated to the Bay Area and making it official on Rover. For the first time in my life, I don’t have a pet of my own. I’d love to take care of and spend that pet love on yours. I work remotely and run my own business, so my schedule is incredibly flexible. I can work around whatever your pet needs throughout the day. I’ve owned a reactive, anxiously attached dog, so I’m comfortable with the ones that need a little extra patience. Senior dogs, high-anxiety pups, all sizes, I’ve got it covered. I work remotely and my schedule is flexible. If your pet needs full-time company, I can take my calls and work from where they are. I only book when I’m fully available, so if I’m on the calendar, I’m present. I come to your pet so they stay in their own home, in their own routine, with their own familiar space. You’ll get updates and photos so you always know how things are going.

About: I grew up with all kinds of family pets-cats, dogs, horses-and got the real crash course in pet parent responsibility when I adopted my own puppy at 17. Since moving to Oakland 10 years ago, I’ve been lucky to live with several cats and dogs of roommates of all dispositions (both the roommates and their pets) and now my fiancée and I have a perfect baby angel cat son. Sadly, my lease does not allow dogs, but I spent the last six years working at a brewery-which meant getting to spend time with lots of dog regulars. Since taking a break from the industry I have to get my four-legged fix somewhere! Big, dopey floofs and sweet Pitties speak to my heart the most, but I'm charmed by all breeds, especially the lil scrappy guys. Having wrestled kegs for many years, I am physically capable of managing most large breed dogs. I’m comfortable with puppies and I don’t mind them being mouthy or jumpy and am happy to discourage unwanted behaviors according to their training. I’ve got a soft spot for seniors, having had experience with palliative care for two beloved senior dogs that required extra care and physical assistance. I am happy to show your old buddy patience and TLC. I’m currently on a long break from full time work and have open week day availability for walks and visits, and can be available weekends with extended notice I have a keen attention to detail and an above average ability to follow instructions, and I’m happy to do things your way. Knowing it can be a source of worry to have a sitter in your personal space, I take extra care to treat not only pets but folks' homes the way I would want mine to be treated and cared for. My general rule of thumb is "how would I want someone to treat my dog?" and "what if their mom/dad was watching us right now?!" with pet-safety as my number one priority. On walks I am vigilant in keeping an eye out for off leash dogs, careless drivers and general hazards. I carry water and stick to the shady side of the streets to keep everyone cool and comfortable, and have pepper spray on my walking pack as an additional safety measure for both myself and your pet. Understanding every dog is unique, my default is to practice loose leash walking techniques, avoid yanking collars/harnesses and give lots of verbal affirmations and encouragement to employ corrective actions.

About: I’ve been raising a very cute black pug for four years. For some reason, I couldn’t bring him with me and I miss him a lot. I really love dogs, so I’d love to do some dog-related work in my free time. I’m happy to let dogs on the sofa or bed, since I always clean them up after walks to make sure both they and the environment stay clean. I’ve spent time with many different dogs, including some that were initially unfriendly. By offering treats, approaching them slowly, and taking the time to get to know them, I was able to build trust. I’m very patient with dogs! From Monday to Friday, I’m usually out for 2–4 hours a day, but I’m home all day on weekends. During my free time, I’m happy to take dogs out to play. 1. Diet: I carefully control meal portions and feeding times, and always make sure dogs stay hydrated—especially in hot weather. After walks, I wait 5–10 minutes before giving them water. 2. Hygiene: I clean eye discharge promptly and keep both the dogs and their environment clean. 3. Exercise: I walk dogs 2–3 times a day. 30min/walk. 4. Playtime: In my free time, I love playing fetch, tug-of-war, or hide-and-seek with them. 5. Companionship: I spend as much time with them as possible. 6. Safety on walks: Dogs are always leashed outside. I stay alert when they interact with other dogs and separate them immediately if there are signs of aggression. I also make sure they don’t eat things off the ground, and I always clean up after them. 7. Sleeping: I used to sleep with my own dog, so if your dog is used to that, they’re welcome to join me too.

About: From small breeds to large breeds, I've taken care of dogs since adopting our first family dog in 2001. I’ve had plenty of experience with special needs dogs, senior dogs, and disabled dogs. I weight about 220lbs and I lift regularly so pullers don’t usually faze me much. I have my two husky mix girls, and I’ve always had dogs. I love taking care of dogs. My girls seem to especially love boy dogs. Of course I love taking care of peoples dogs. I prefer if you give me your guidance on how you’d like me to care for your baby. Dogs usually like routines. Some dogs only pee four times a day and other needs five or six times, so you tell me.

I've been around pups my whole life: walks, sits, feedings, bath time, you name it. Friends, family, neighbors have all trusted me with their fur babies, and I take that seriously. But also I make it really fun. Here's what makes me a little different: I follow the dog's lead. Some pups want a big adventure. Others want a slow sniff-everything kind of walk (honestly iconic). On our walks, they pick the route. I'm just happy to be invited. I also put together little enrichment activities because a stimulated dog is a happy dog, and yes, I talk to them like they understand everything I'm saying, because they do. I'm a big dog park person too, but I'm picky about it in the best way. I stick to parks where I already know the people and the dogs, so I know exactly what kind of environment your pup is walking into. No surprises, just good socialization with faces I trust. When your dog stays with me, they get a whole day tailored to their vibe: cozy, active, or somewhere in between. And you? You'll get so many photo and video updates you might actually forget you miss them. Might. At home I live with Totó, my shichihuahua who is fully convinced he runs this household (he does). He's taught me everything about big personality in a small body, and he's an excellent host. I have a special soft spot for senior dogs. I know how to give them the patience, gentleness, and extra love they deserve. My clients always say the same two things: they got way more updates than they expected, and they finally felt okay leaving their dog with someone. That's the whole goal. 🐶 I work remotely, which means I'm home most of the day and genuinely available, no scrambling, no rushing. Midday walk? Morning sit? Last-minute check-in? I can make it work. Pet care isn't something I squeeze into my routine, it basically IS my routine. Your dog will never feel like an afterthought. Safety is everything to me, and so is making sure your pet actually enjoys their time. In your home, I follow your instructions closely, keep things clean and consistent, and make sure your pup always has water, food, and lots of love. On walks, I stick to routes and parks I know well, with dogs and people I already trust. No random off-leash situations, no surprises. At my place, it's calm, cozy, and very much a dog household (my Wi-Fi is literally called "House of Dogs"). Totó, my shichihuahua, is a great host as long as you respect that he's in charge.

About: I have extensive experience and a high comfort level with sensitive and reactive pets (both cats and dogs). If your cat is really shy, or your dog gets stressed by other dogs on walks, they’re a great fit for me. I’m highly attuned to the environment and know how to manage challenging situations. I’m also great with dogs that are highly food motivated and can ensure they don’t eat anything off the ground. My focus is always on creating a calm, safe, and attentive care experience for pets with special needs. My work shifts are typically only 6 hours long, so I’m available for visits before and after work. I can offer generous blocks of time every day to make sure your pet receives all the dedicated time they need. I am available for drop-in visits, house-sitting, and overnight stays. This allows me to provide your pet with the most low-stress experience possible as they remain in their familiar environment. I don’t own a car and am unable to host pets at my own home, but I am happy to spend as much time as needed at your residence and maximize the time spent with your pet within your local area.
