She goes above and beyond and trains him on his off-leash skills (something I definitely want him to do better in). She understands Buddy (and her other handsome pups) in a way that is truly unique. Buddy goes running to her in the mornings, which he does not do with most people. It genuinely makes her happy to see Buddy thrive and progress in his skills. She consistently sends photos and videos of their day together and updates me on what they're up to throughout the day, which I LOVE. I am someone who usually stresses about my dog when I'm away from him, but I have such a sense of relief when he is with Ruthy!”

About: **Available after 3pm on M,Tu,W,Th, Anytime on F,Sat,Sun** I’ve cared for dogs my whole life and have always loved being around animals. Growing up, I regularly helped care for my family’s dogs whenever they needed support, which gave me plenty of hands-on experience with feeding, walking, playing, and making sure pets feel safe and loved. I’m also a cat parent to my two kitties, Michi and Kiki, whom I’ve raised since they were just 8 weeks old. They’ll soon be two years old! Caring for them has given me daily experience with cat care, routines, playtime, and creating a calm, comfortable environment for pets. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and treat every pet with the same love and attention I give my own. I am currently a master’s student at UC Berkeley. Most days of the week, I end classes at 1pm, so I will be available after that, Sundays and Saturdays the whole day! I have a large apartment for your pup to play in! I also have an outside space for your pup to play in with supervision. Your pet will be my priority during our time together, and rest assured that they will be treated with the utmost respect, love, and kindness!

When appropriate, I take dogs to East Bay spots like Point Isabel, Albany Bulb and Berkeley Marina for space and stimulation. For drop-ins, your dog will get lots of attention, movement and care. I walk my dogs daily, often on longer outings. I adjust pace and distance based on your dog’s needs. Dog care is my priority right now. I’m available mornings, afternoons, and evenings. About: *I only board dogs from one home at a time* I love to jog around Lake Merritt, and I'd be happy to take your fur baby along for a run! I've cared for dogs and cats, healthy and sick, with very specific dietary restrictions and activity needs. I wish I could have my own pet, but since I travel pretty often, this is the next best thing. :-) I’m a Product Manager with a hybrid work schedule. Rest assured, I can easily get from work to home on in-office days for walks/drop-ins if needed. I also work at a dog friendly office. I am available most days for drop-ins 2x/day. On weekday evenings, I typically go on runs (with/without dogs!). Expect many photos of your fur baby while you're away! I'm happy to drop in to check on food, water, litter (for cats), and take your pup on walks. I am very detail oriented, so if you have very particular instructions regarding diet or preferences while outside, you can trust me to follow them. For boarding, I have bowls for water and food as well as doggy waste bags. You would need to provide their food, treats, toys, (litter for kitties), and anything else to make their stay more comfortable!

Ruthy did a fantastic job with Nova! She was extremely communicative all day. She was right on time to pick her up and drop her off and sent so many cute photos and videos of their day together. I have had poor experiences with leaving Nova in someone else's care in the past, so I was a little apprehensive, but Ruthy's updates put me so at ease. I know my little girl was in great, caring hands. I can't recommend her enough!
Hong was AMAZING with my dog! I could not have asked for a better daycare experience. Hong sent updates all day long, so I always knew exactly what my dog was up to — plus she took amazing photos! She followed my dog’s schedule closely and made sure she was playing and active throughout the day. My dog can be nervous around men, but Hong’s husband was so patient and loving with her — he took the time to get to know her, and by the end of the day she was curled up cuddling with him. Honestly, I think my dog would rather live with them at this point! They communicated through a translator app and were incredibly responsive and easy to coordinate with. Can’t recommend Hong enough. We’ll absolutely be booking again.
Emily and her family are the perfect hosts. They have a lovely home, and are most welcoming. They and their dog Kibley (sp?) were so generous to Scout, who is a bit needy and likes the company of people and petting. I felt very comfortable leaving her for the day, and although she was happy to see me when I picked her up, she wasn't anxious and overly ready to leave. They took her for two walks and sent me a few pictures during the day, affirming that Scout was happy. There are no red flags here, and I didn't hesitate leaving Scout in their hands. I'll be back.

Alejandra was amazing! We did a meet and greet beforehand that lasted about an hour, and she immediately made me feel comfortable. Poe is a total Velcro dog, so I was honestly really anxious about leaving him while I traveled for work. Knowing he would be with someone who works from home and had a rooftop dog park gave me so much peace of mind. She went above and beyond with updates and photos throughout the day, and it was obvious she genuinely cared about making sure Poe was happy and comfortable. Every time I picked him up, he was relaxed and happy. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and I wouldn't hesitate to leave Poe with Alejandra again!
Michelle has been boarding our dog Katsu for years and he always has a great time! Recently we adopted a second dog, and Maki and Katsu both got to spend a few days with Michelle for doggy day care. We always trust Michelle and her family to take good care of our dogs.
Ellah was amazing. She took excellent care of my pup. My sometimes anxious Jack Russel clearly felt completely at home and safe with Ellah. Excellent communication, sent pics and gave updates. Ellah made what would have been a very long day for my dog a safe and fun day for her. I am grateful for caring for my dog like family, it's hard to find someone that genuinely cares and does that. :)
Sarah was wonderful with Bijou! He is a well-behaved dog but has a ton of energy, and it was clear that Sarah understood his personality perfectly. You could easily tell from the pictures she shared that he was having a blast. She took him on a couple of walks, and he came home completely happy and tired out from all the fun. I highly recommend Sarah for doggy day care and will definitely use her services again!
I am so happy to have found Gretchen! She is a lovely person who obviously loves dogs and cats (I have both) and has clear extensive experience in caring for them. My dog Sidney typically spends a day each week in her care when I work far from home. I have peace of mind when my baby is with Gretchen; she takes her on multiple lovely walks each day to beautiful places like the Emeryville Marina and has a comfy inviting space where Sidney obviously feels very at home. I highly recommend Gretchen to care for your fur babies!
