I’m available pretty much anytime for dog walk or boarding and I currently run a small group dog daycare in my home with my partner between the hours of 7:30am and 5:30pm Monday to Friday. My current group of regulars (that come varying weekdays) includes extremely well socialized dogs of all sizes most of which are between 3 and 6 years old. It’s a great environment for a dog to build social skills and confidence in a calm, well adjusted pack.

I live in West Oakland (very close to the Bart station!) and my home and yard are very secure with a 6ft tall redwood fence surrounding the entire property. My yard is pretty large and great for off leash fun as it’s completely safe and secure. I live only with my husband and our two very friendly Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who loves every dog they has ever met. Oliver even has a way of making dogs that are usually not dog friendly play as if they were a puppy - it seems to be his super power! While Opal is just a love who is always ready for fun in the yard or cuddles on the couch.

I’m happy to work with all people and all types of dogs. There are no bad dogs or bad breeds, only ones that need extra love and attention, as well as some firm good ground rules! If you are looking for boarding or daycare, please note I have two very friendly Cavalier King Charles spaniels named Oliver and Opal that have never met a dog that they didn’t immediately fall in love with. I always set up a meet and greet to be sure your dog is comfortable with Oliver and Opal and that everyone gets along. Please also note that for boarding bookings it includes drop off of your pup anytime after 4pm on the start day and the pick up by 11am on the end day - if you need to drop off your pup earlier on the start day and/or later on the end day, then I can always add a day (or two) of doggie daycare to your boarding booking request.
A typical day
I love long walks around my quiet, very pet friendly neighborhood as well as spending time in the mornings at dog parks like South Prescott Dog park which is 2 minutes from my home. I also have a great secure yard for dogs to run free and get their energy out chasing a ball or each other! My regular dogs also enjoy lots of time sunbathing on our deck or cuddling on the couch.

I have work with dogs my entire life, but currently I run a small dog daycare/boarding facility at my home with my husband so our sole focus is caring for our pups and we will happily give your pup all our love and attention! I’m responsible, respectful and very organized which allows us to run a safe and stable home environment for each one of our dogs. I’m available daily for dog walks, daycare and/or boarding. My current small daycare group is about 3-5 regular dogs that come on different weekdays. I’m a firm believer in clear, calm communication with any dog that I am working with and I only use positive reinforcement. My yard and entire property is fully fenced with a 6ft wood privacy fence and there is an extra gate between the front and back yards for extra safety.

Courtney is an absolutely wonderful dog sitter! We have a very emotional and anxious greyhound, so I'm particular about who watches her. However, she's always very comfortable at Courtney's home! Courtney takes such good care of her, we have true peace of mind when I'm on vacation. Courtney is patient and kind with her, helping her figure out how to walk up stairs, and does everything she can to make our dog comfortable. She also sends so many photos which I really appreciate. I can't recommend Courtney enough.
Courtney is the best! I have a very anxious chihuahua mix and after a few stays with Courtney, she has become part of his pack and he loves her and her partner and all the wonderful dogs. He has the best time there. It's like Dog summer camp. I love it that she sends me pictures all day long and every time I try to contact her she gets back to me in minutes....every time! Her house is so safe and secure with a wrap around fence and big yard. I can't say enough good things about Courtney!
Herbert was very excited to go to Courtney’s again for daycare! This is the best rover experience we’ve had and we can’t wait to return. We know Herbert is in great hands when he stays with Courtney.
We are so grateful for the exceptional level of care Courtney provided for our dog Herbert. She has created such a wonderful environment for pups and Herbert was very comfortable staying in her home.
