About: Hi there, my name is Theresa, and I have been an animal lover since I was a child. I attended SFSU with a major in Zoology and have had extensive experience working with animal organizations, as well as personal experience walking, grooming, and training dogs, from Shih Tzus to Pit Bulls. I will ensure that your pet has an enjoyable time while in a safe environment. My experience includes: working with United Hope for Animals, Pasadena Humane Society, Therapy Dogs, the K-9 Unit, SF SPCA, and Family Dog Rescue; 10+ years of experience grooming, walking, feeding, and handling dogs (all breeds). Lastly, I currently own my own dog, a Husky/Shepherd mix, who teaches me something new about being a dog owner everyday, and I will care for your own fur baby as if they were my own as well. I currently have open availability, allowing me to create a schedule around current and future clients. I walk my own dog at least twice a day. I have 10+ years of experience working with dogs in a variety of environments and in various situations and feel confident I can provide a safe environment for your pet, whether it's at home or outside in your local neighborhood. For dog walking, I am very aware of my surroundings, ensuring your pup's safety is my #1 priority. For drop in visits or house sitting, I am clean, respectful, and mindful of other's homes and am happy to offer plant care or cleaning/cooking services as well.
About: Growing up in a family that always had dogs, I’ve spent over seven years caring for pets of all ages and personalities. I raised my own corgi from puppyhood, which gave me a solid foundation in training, grooming, and understanding canine behavior. Over time, I’ve also cared for senior dogs who required medication, gentle exercise, and extra patience, as well as energetic puppies who needed structured play and consistent guidance. Clients often describe me as reliable, communicative, and attentive to every pet’s comfort. I regularly provide updates with photos and videos to help owners feel connected while they’re away. I’m also experienced with multi-pet households, including both dogs and cats, and I take pride in maintaining a calm and caring environment for all animals under my care. As a remote work with a flexible schedule, I'm available consistently on weekends and most weekday afternoons. I carefully plan my pet care commitments around my classes to ensure dedicated, unrushed time with each pet. I can provide morning walks, midday check-ins, and extended playtime sessions, always prioritizing the pets' routines and needs. I prioritize creating a safe and comfortable environment for every pet in my care. When visiting clients' homes, I follow their specific care instructions meticulously and maintain regular updates through photos and messages. I ensure all doors are secured, maintain a clean environment, and keep pets on their regular feeding and exercise schedules. I also have pet first-aid knowledge for added peace of mind.
About: I am an animal lover and have been taking care of pets since I was a child. I got my soulmate pup during the pandemic and we are both attached to each other. I will treat your pup like my own. I’m currently working part-time from home so I have plenty of time to care for your fur baby Whether it’s drop ins, walking or boarding. I have a small fenced in yard and a friendly French bulldog pup who loves to play and cuddle and can keep your pet company.
“Hank has been a great dog walker. He’s been really patient with me and my dog as we both get used to having a dog walker. He took his time getting my dog used to having a new person walking him as well as bearing with me while I got used to using Rover and a dog walker. He’s been a clear communicator and very reliable. Thanks Hank!”

“I have booked walks and boarding with Nancy quite a few times, and find that she is always communicative, thoughtful, and helpful. My dog can be difficult sometimes when it comes to cooperating with what you want her to do, especially on hot days, and Nancy got creative to help ensure my pup got the most out of their time together. Highly recommended!”

About: Hi! I’m Courtney, and I love dogs and have lots of experience with dogs of all sizes and breeds from Chihuahuas to Pit bull terriers to Great Danes. I have worked for humane societies for years walking shelter dogs and helping with basic training and grooming, so I have lots of experience with dogs of all sizes including strong, highly active dogs that require an experienced controlled dog walker/sitter. I’m a firm believer in clear, calm communication with any dog that I am working with and I only use positive reinforcement. I work from home part time and have lots of time to dedicate to your pup! I’m responsible and respectful, as well as, punctual, and will happily give your pup all my love and attention! I’m available daily for dog walks and boarding and I currently have a small group of regular dogs that come on different weekdays for doggie daycare. My yard and entire property is fully fenced with a 6ft wood privacy fence and there is an extra gate between the front and back yards. I’m available pretty much anytime for dog walks but I do run a doggie daycare (max 5 dogs per day) in my home with my partner between the hours of 7:30am and 5:30pm Monday to Thursday. My current group of regulars (that come varying weekdays) includes dogs ranging from 15 - 85 pounds and almost all the dogs are between 3 and 5 years old. I also offer boarding for up to 2 dogs per night but usually I am booked out 4-6 weeks ahead of time. I live in West Oakland (very close to the Bart station!) and my home and yard are very secure with a 6ft tall redwood fence surrounding the entire property. My yard is pretty large and great for off leash fun as it’s completely safe and secure. I live only with my husband and our two very friendly Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who loves every dog they has ever met. Oliver even has a way of making dogs that are usually not dog friendly play as if they were a puppy - it seems to be his super power! While Opal is just a love who is always ready for fun in the yard or cuddles on the couch.

“I had Reijun meet my pup Petunia for a meet and greet and Petunia was immediately comfortable with them. We walked around the neighborhood and Reijun was great with her and understood some of her quirks. She is a natural with dog walking and I knew Reijun would be a great fit. I plan to hire them for more walks!”

About: My expertise is with cats as I've grown up with them, but I'm also in love with dogs. My favorite activity is to play with them, second to cuddling with them while they nap. They always lift my spirits when I'm feeling down and I know they get a kick out of having play time. My expertise is as follows: feeding, walking, playing, and bathing (cats only). I would love to play and keep your pets company while you are away. In the past, I have sent check-ins with pictures and given a brief summary of our time together at the end of the visit. I moved and I'm new to the area so I have a lot of downtime after my full-time job to come visit your pets in the evening and on weekends. Please check my calendar for an updated schedule This varies on the service but for feeding, I will make sure that they are fed their food in their proper bowls, make sure the water is clean and filled, and clean up after them so they don't eat food that's touched the floor. For walking, I will make sure that their leashes are in good condition, we won't walk in heavy traffic areas and have water on hand in case they get thirsty. For bathing, I will need more details as to where I can bathe them, what soaps you typically use and if they are comfortable with being bathed.

Whether it’s reinforcing good behavior, helping with leash manners, or giving a quick brush-out after playtime, I go the extra mile to provide top-quality, personalized care. I’m a full-time online student, so I’m home and available throughout the week. That makes it easy for me to give dogs plenty of walks, playtime, and attention. I love fitting pet care into my daily routine, and your pup will always have company and care while they’re with me! In my home, I have my fur baby who will keep your fur baby company, I make sure pets feel comfortable and safe by giving them a cozy space, regular walks, playtime, and plenty of attention. I keep their routine as close to what they’re used to as possible, including feeding times and any special needs. When I’m in a client’s home, I treat it with the same respect and care—I follow their instructions closely, make sure pets have everything they need, and give them lots of love and company while their owner is away.
About: I am the Owner of a German/Belgian Shepherd. Ziggy coming into my life unexpectedly, and working on his behavior showed me a new love in life. I aspire to become a certified dog trainer. I currently work 4 days a week, Wednesday-Saturday, 3-10:30. Outside of that I am generally pretty free. If I’m not working I’m probably riding my bike exploring nature. Generally speaking with any animals, I do my best to be slow and give the animal the choice of whether they want to interact or not. It’s important to give them agency to, also advocating for them is important since they can’t speak.
About: I have extensive experience and a high comfort level with sensitive and reactive pets (both cats and dogs). If your cat is really shy, or your dog gets stressed by other dogs on walks, they’re a great fit for me. I’m highly attuned to the environment and know how to manage challenging situations. I’m also great with dogs that are highly food motivated and can ensure they don’t eat anything off the ground. My focus is always on creating a calm, safe, and attentive care experience for pets with special needs. My work shifts are typically only 6 hours long, so I’m available for visits before and after work. I can offer generous blocks of time every day to make sure your pet receives all the dedicated time they need. I am available for drop-in visits, house-sitting, and overnight stays. This allows me to provide your pet with the most low-stress experience possible as they remain in their familiar environment. I don’t own a car and am unable to host pets at my own home, but I am happy to spend as much time as needed at your residence and maximize the time spent with your pet within your local area.
“Priscilla is so great! She’s walked Sunny before, but she sadly recently lost her vision and no longer enjoys walking 💔 Priscilla is so patient and kind and empathetic. I can tell Sunny is getting more comfortable and confident walking outside 💕”

“Professional & good communication! Devyn asked lots of good questions on our meet-and-greet which set my mind at ease. Happy to have someone reliable for dog walking needs.”

Which leaves plenty of time to care for your pet. I am available for walks with flexible hours Sunday through Tuesday I especially enjoy evening walks. I can't care for pets in my home at this time. Acorn-Acorn Industrial dog parents share their Rover experiences
Shirley is 100% reliable, arrives on time and is able to get my “lazy” bulldog to walk for a full hour. We did a meet & greet prior to my dog’s first walk and I immediately felt comfortable having her come into my place while I was at work. It’s nice to have someone you trust walking my sweet, baby Diesel so that when I come home after a long day, I can relax. Shirley is doing a great job for us and we appreciate her!!

Ashley was fantastic! I had an emergency and booked her last minute. Our pup is very shy and a brand new rescue, we booked for a walk but she was so she to get out of the crate but Ashley was communicative and extremely flexible the entire time. She sent pictures, even of our cat! It was clear she cared so much about her. We’ll definitely be hiring Ashley again for the future for any pet related needs!
