She clearly loves the work of caring for pets and is very good at it. She sent photos and videos twice a day and responded promptly to all of our communications. Daisy is nervous around other dogs but Kelly made her feel comfortable. Daisy even made some friends! When we came to pick Daisy up, she didn't want Kelly to leave her and whined as Kelly walked away. Kelly's now a part of Daisy's pack! We will definitely have Daisy stay with Kelly again when we have to travel.”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs my whole life within my family but I’ve also taken my own path on raising puppies from the liter of my own dogs in my parents home having babies. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve taken in two dogs from the streets and have been raising them since one month old. I work for myself so any time I’d need to accommodate for your pups needs I can do that ! I just want to be of convenience for the dog parents because I know how hard it can be managing your life with your fur baby. “Ruthy is a fantastic find! This was our first time using Rover.com and we really lucked out in finding someone as knowledgeable, responsible, and passionate about dogs as Ruthy. Our dog is a newly adopted large-breed dog with a lot of energy as well as separation anxiety. There are not a lot of sitters that would be able to handle our guy! From the moment we met Ruthy at the meet-and-greet we could tell that she took her job very seriously and knew how to be a responsible dog owner and caretaker. We've used Ruthy once for doggy daycare and once for boarding, and we are going to keep using her again because we could not imagine there being anyone better to care for our pup. We also loved all the pictures and videos of our dog enjoying his stay while we were out of town (it actually made us worry that he had forgotten about us)! We would highly recommend Ruthy to anyone who wants to leave their dog with someone who not only knows how to handle dogs, but who truly cares about them.”

About: Hiya, I'm Peter! I've cared for dogs for as long as I can remember, and have since provided countless hours of pet-care of friends, family, friends of the family, and families of friends! I have years of experience doing walks, play, feeding, bathing, clean-up and more. I have experience with excitable breeds like a neighbor's golden doodle to my family's mellowed-out portugese water doggies, along with senior care. I see animal care as a privilege. Our pets are no less than little bundles of feelings and life that we are given the opportunity to cherish. I have been told on multiple occasions that I am able to calm animals unusually quickly, and I feel that I am attuned to the emotions of animals I care for. I would love to opportunity to provide care to your pet! I work from home in a low-speed position, so I have a flexible schedule for your pets' needs. Normally, I would do a morning and afternoon walk, with potty breaks peppered whenever they need. I can also step away from my work at a moment's notice if anything arises, from entertaining a bored doggie to foiling attempted counter surfing! I have a paved yard for sunbathing and potty breaks, the door to which I work right next to. I live near Lake Merritt, the Morcom Rose Garden, and a dog park, so I can provide walks of all lengths. My home is very cozy and has multiple spaces where an animal can detox from any overstimulation. I can provide a dog crate, scheduled meals, supervision, and play.

“I booked Asia at the last minute for a long 6 days stay, and she was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly responsive and very understanding of my dog’s situation. She was also flexible and patient with my late-hour drop‑off and pick‑up, which I really appreciated. She took such good care of Coquita, and to my surprise, my dog even got along with her dog, which is something that never happens because Coquita usually isn’t friendly with other dogs. She kept me updated throughout the stay with pictures and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind. I would definitely book with her again. She made a stressful, last‑minute situation feel easy and reassuring, and I felt completely comfortable leaving Coquita in her care.”
“I could not be more pleased and appreciative of how well Kristen and Ryan took care of my Solo. This is the longest I have been out of town in a while and I wanted Solo to be in a comfortable and secure place and with people that will look after her as if she was their own. Kristen and Ryan did that for sure. They kept me well informed of how Solo was doing and it really looked like Solo enjoyed her time with them.
