“Sasha was hands down the best house and pet sitter we've had. Incredible care for our home and dog was demonstrated daily during our 8 days away from home. Frequent check-ins with pics and video were much appreciated. She also rose to the occasion when we were unexpectedly delayed due to airline issues. We are super grateful to have Sasha as our new sitter!”

“Meshaal took great care of our 55 lb pup and our cat in our home while we were on vacation! They were thorough in preparing for the job, very communicative while we were away, and followed all of our feeding and exercise instructions. We would definitely have Meshaal sit for us again!”
“Jordan was amazing with my dogs. I have an energetic Olde English Bulldog and a big Saint Bernard that’s picky about who he trusts and she did very well with them. Took them on lots of walks outside and sent tons of cute photos while I was out. She even made an adorable hand drawn card of the two of them. I would highly recommend her if you need someone to watch your dogs at your place.”

“Ashley was great. Her communication before and during the stay was excellent. This was the first time we left the dogs with someone other than family and they did great thanks to Ashley. She was a good guest and left the house very nice. I recommend her highly.”

“Bernie boarded and cared for Melo over a weekend, providing him fun walks and lots of adventures. Sunday afternoon, after a long flight, I thankfully picked up a happy and exhausted dog 😊 Thanks Bernie!”

“I had Esteban house sit to look after my big, rambunctious dog Sable for 6 days. Not only did Esteban take amazing care of my dog, he left the house in incredible condition. All my dog’s needs were met, and he sent regular pupdates. I’m a very anxious person and it was my first time using Rover, but Esteban put me at ease and I am so glad I decided to go with him. I would 100% use Esteban again if I ever leave town. I believe it’s safer and easier on my dog than boarding her at a dog hotel. You da man, Esteban!”

“Adela is fantastic! Adela follows all my instructions and cares for my dog (Bowie) as if he was her own. Adela stays overnight at my home and she is super respectful, clean and kind. Highly recommend!”

“Josie was a great house-sitter! Very appreciative of her flexibility with scheduling, and she took great care of my dog, who’s still learning how to meet new people and be away from me.”

“If there were 6 stars, I'd give them to Hollie. She is the epitome of conscientious, responsible, and caring. Our flight home was delayed and she even changed her plans so she could stay longer. Our shih tzu loves being with her - from a drop-in walk to a 3-night stay - and we're eager to have Hollie back as soon as our next need arises. I cannot recommend this sitter more highly.”

“Samantha was great with my two fur babies during the holidays: communicative and sending pics throughout the stay. She was also super patient with all of the security at my complex. Would definitely recommend to anyone who needs someone to look after their furry companions!”

“Celeste watched our shih tzu at our apartment for 3 days and she gave very detailed updates along with many pictures/videos multiple times a day. She followed all instructions to a tee. She also left our apartment just as we left it and was very clean. Our dog loved her and we couldn’t recommend Celeste more for dog sitting!”

“Issel took great care of my dogs! She was patient to allow them to warm up to her & they quickly did. She addressed all of my questions and concerns about being away from them. I came home to two happy and well taken care of babies.”

About: I’ve take care of dogs of family and friends of various sizes, breeds, and ages and love them as if they were my own! I am able to play with and walk them regularly and can accommodate to whatever special care they need. I work a hybrid 9-5 job and am usually available on the weekends for pet care. Mid-week arrangements may be accepted if discussed in advance so I can schedule my “work from home” days to accommodate. I live in condo complex that has a closed off large courtyard. My home has animal friendly plants, and unfriendly plants kept out of reach.
“Akiko took great care of our dog while we were away for a few days during the holidays. We felt very comfortable with her watching Marty and staying in our home. She sent frequent updates and even left us a cute Polaroid of Marty. Definitely recommend and hope to work with her again soon!”

“Aila took great care of our little guy! She was responsive when we reached out and gave great updates. She left the house squeaky clean and I'd definitely have her watch our dog again.”

“Matt is always great with our dog, Elliott. He was very responsible with Elliott's medication schedule and attentive to his emotional needs. I'll be re-booking Matt for our next trip as well. Thank you, Matt!”

Old City-Produce And Waterfront pet parents share their Rover experiences
My fur babies love Frances! She was able to house sit for us for a quick weekend away. My two anxious cats and dog all warmed up to her immediately! She left my house spotless and sent many updates and photos. Can't recommend Frances enough. I will be re-booking her again!

We are so happy to have found Kendra on Rover and cannot recommend her enough to others! Long story: Our original boarding plans fell through and one of our sitters canceled on us a few days before our international trip. We were so stressed looking for someone trustworthy to look after our dog, Shelly, on such a last minute notice. Since it was Shelly’s first time away from family, we wanted to make sure she would be comfortable with her sitters. Kendra was willing to squeeze in a last minute trip over to our house at night for a m&g (which I happily tipped her for)! Upon meeting, I could tell right away that she is serious and passionate about her work. We appreciated all the notes she took down, questions she asked, and the time she took to get to know Shelly and earn her trust. We felt assured that our dog (family) would be in good hands. During the house sitting session (~4-5 days), Kendra kept me updated often on Shelly (as requested) and was quick to respond to any questions and concerns. As it was also our first time away from Shelly for an extended time, we were overly concerned and sent Kendra quite a lot of messages. She was very understanding and accommodating to our needs and requests. We were also worried about how Shelly would do around strangers (as she is easily scared/not a fan of strangers petting her), but she seemed to have taken a liking to Kendra pretty quickly. We loved seeing videos of her happily playing fetch with Kendra in our backyard and accepting scratches and pets from her. All in all, we would gladly have Kendra look after Shelly again in the future!

Shayna is the greatest! She watched my two kitties / housesat for a week while we were out of town. This was our first time having Shayna sit for us and we truly had the most wonderful experience - she was so kind, thoughtful, communicative and trustworthy. A few days before our booking started, we sadly had to put my third cat down, and Shayna was so kind/supportive - she checked in on us and helped us navigate updating the Rover booking. During the booking, Shayna spent a ton of time with our cats giving them so much attention and playing / cuddling with them a ton which really put me at ease as I was worried about how our cats would do given the recent loss of our other cat. She sent us daily pictures and updates about how everything was going and was super communicative. We came back home to very happy kitties and a clean house - couldn’t have asked for more. We really hope to have Shayna cat sit for us again in the future!!

Samantha took great care of my cat while I was away. Saroo can be a little mischievous, so I really appreciated how careful and attentive she was and how closely she followed my instructions to keep everything secure. I came home to a happy kitty and a home that was left super clean and tidy. I would definitely book with her again!

Dennis was without a doubt the best dog sitter we have ever had. He came highly recommended from some friends of ours. It felt so reassuring to have someone so trustworthy, responsible, and skilled with our dog, Rosie. We appreciate his reliability and communication throughout his care for Rosie and he left our home in fantastic condition. We have had different dog sitters over the years and Dennis is in a league of his own! We hope we can work with him again in the future!

Lucy was an outstanding pet sitter for our dog Willow during our trip out of town. She stayed at our house the entire time and took excellent care of Willow, making sure she received her medicine on schedule, got plenty of walks and playtime, and received lots of attention and affection. Lucy was very responsive throughout the stay, quickly replying to our check-in messages and sending regular photo updates that gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. She also left the house spotless and tidy. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would happily book Lucy again.

Josie was wonderful, responding promptly to a last minute request for dog sitting and then taking excellent care of Odie. Many photos and updates were provided, and Odie returned home happy and exhausted - just as I would hope! I would definitely book Josie again.

Alejandra was a fantastic sitter. She arrived with a printed list of care instructions and asked thoughtful questions. She and my dog bonded quickly and she kept me well updated with photos and videos along the way. To top it off she left my house spotless! Great to come home to a happy dog and a clean house. Would absolutely have Alejandra housesit again.

Valerie is a total professional! She went above and beyond to take good care of our dog, Nix, and our house while we were out of town. She provided regular updates and photos of Nix so we knew everything was going well. Nix has separation anxiety but Valerie’s companionship kept our pup comfortable and entertained.

I hope this review doesn’t lead to us not being able to book Neveah - our pups new best friend. Neveah dog sits in our home and is great with updates and very attentive to the needs of our pup. She puts our pup first, and knowing that while on vacation really makes vacation feel like vacation. She even leaves our house cleaner than how we left it. Thank you Neveah 🫶🏼

Sam was absolutely incredible watching our Mini Goldendoodle Enzo for nearly two weeks while we were overseas. Enzo can be pretty finicky and slow to warm up to new people, but Sam was patient, calm, and clearly great with animals. Slowly but surely, Enzo got completely comfortable with him… belly scratches and cuddles included. Sam kept us totally at ease while we were traveling by sending thoughtful updates, including photos and videos, which meant a lot to us. We came home to a very happy dog and a house that was spotless and well cared for. Sam was incredibly respectful of our home and space, and it showed in every detail. We would 100% trust Sam with Enzo and our home again and would recommend him without hesitation.

Vanessa did a great job again taking care of my senior pup who is blind and has multiple medical issues. Moreover, she did it at the very last minute! I was able to book her for an overnight the day before I was leaving. Vanessa followed all my instructions, and Yoda was happy and healthy when I returned. I will call on Vanessa again for sure!
