Information Cameron B. would like to know about your pet

Any information on your pets beforehand is really appreciated! This can range from dietary needs (are they social eaters or like to be alone? supplements/medications? favorite treats? etc.), personality (shy or nervous? super friendly? do they like to be picked up?), and also if they are professional escape artists! With dogs it is also great to know where they are at with training, especially how they interact with other dogs, people, or children. We can also talk more extensively during a meet and greet to get to know your pets better:)

A typical day

While some think cats have simple needs of just feeding, water, and a clean litter box, I feel that it is important to make sure cats are feeling the love and getting plenty of attention and stimulation during my drop in visits. I make sure to engage with cats in whatever ways they want, from pets to playing with toys or just getting to sit in a lap! I also understand that many cats can by shy or take some time to warm up to a new person, and have a lot of experience with shy and nervous cats and will make sure to be patient with them and make them feel safe during my visits.

Pet care experience

Hi! I am a dedicated pet sitter with three years of professional drop-in care in the Berkeley/Oakland area, and have been living with and caring for dogs and cats my whole life. My goal is simple, to keep your pet comfortable, safe, and happy while you’re away so you can have complete peace of mind! While some people think pets have simple needs, I know that they need and deserve more than just food, water, walks and a clean litter box. During each visit, I make sure your pet gets all the attention and engagement they want, whether that means sniffing walks, playtime, pets, lap time, or simply quiet time with a friend. I always aim to follow your pet’s routine and preferences to make them feel safe and reduce stress. I also understand that many pets can by shy or take some time to warm up to a new person, and have a lot of experience with shy and nervous animals and will make sure to be patient with them and make them feel safe during my visits. I take a patient, gentle approach and allow them to warm up at their own pace so they feel safe and secure. During visits, I provide:
 • Walks, feeding, fresh water, and litter box cleaning
• Playtime and enrichment
• Medication administration (if needed)
 • Lots of photos and updates after every visit
• Anything else you need while on your trip (grabbing mail, watering plants, etc!) About me: I’m originally from Seattle and have lived in the East Bay for the past 8 years and I love it here! Outside of pet sitting, I work as a plant genetics researcher. In my free time, I enjoy knitting, going to the beach, and hitting up all the local flea and vintage markets. I’d love to meet you and your pets and provide reliable, attentive care for while you’re away!

Cameron took care of my cat for 8 days, and he watered all my plants too! I returned and she was clearly happy and well cared for. Also, I got great photos everyday, some were so cute! Definitely recommend Cameron, will book again!

I booked Cameron last minute when my planned help didn’t work out. He was phenomenal. Came over for a meet & greet/walkthrough, was right on time each visit, and my boys were well cared for while I was gone. Getting his pictures and notes helped a lot with my first time away in our new home. Highly recommend Cameron.
