“Kelly is wonderful! We have a 10 month old 15 pound cavapoo named Daisy who we had to leave for two weeks. We were very nervous about it! Kelly was amazing--so responsible, caring, and reassuring. She clearly loves the work of caring for pets and is very good at it. She sent photos and videos twice a day and responded promptly to all of our communications. Daisy is nervous around other dogs but Kelly made her feel comfortable. Daisy even made some friends! When we came to pick Daisy up, she didn't want Kelly to leave her and whined as Kelly walked away. Kelly's now a part of Daisy's pack! We will definitely have Daisy stay with Kelly again when we have to travel.”

About: Hiya, I'm Peter! I've cared for dogs for as long as I can remember, and have since provided countless hours of pet-care of friends, family, friends of the family, and families of friends! I have years of experience doing walks, play, feeding, bathing, clean-up and more. I have experience with excitable breeds like a neighbor's golden doodle to my family's mellowed-out portugese water doggies, along with senior care. I see animal care as a privilege. Our pets are no less than little bundles of feelings and life that we are given the opportunity to cherish. Normally, I would do a morning and afternoon walk, with potty breaks peppered whenever they need. I can also step away from my work at a moment's notice if anything arises, from entertaining a bored doggie to foiling attempted counter surfing! I have a paved yard for sunbathing and potty breaks, the door to which I work right next to. I live near Lake Merritt, the Morcom Rose Garden, and a dog park, so I can provide walks of all lengths. My home is very cozy and has multiple spaces where an animal can detox from any overstimulation. I can provide a dog crate, scheduled meals, supervision, and play.

About: I have 2 cats and sit for family/friends pets often. I can follow specific instructions well, and am well equipped to handle most animals. I am a high school student on summer break, and have a relatively flexible schedule to cater to any specific needs a pet could have. I care for pets in my home however comfortable they are. I let them adjust to a new setting, and giving them as much love and attention as they can tolerate.

About: We've designed our experience a little differently than most. Rather than filling our home with multiple unfamiliar dogs, we intentionally host just one dog (or one family's dogs) at a time. We made this decision because we know separation can be hard. Our goal is to give every guest a calm, relaxing vacation while giving their humans peace of mind knowing their pup has our full attention. My husband Cameron and I have both been around animals our entire lives and have experience with puppies, seniors, bulldogs, and dogs with special needs. We also have two young kids (ages 3 & 6) who absolutely love animals and know how to be gentle and respectful around them. Whether your dog loves hiking, backyard sniff sessions, playing fetch, or simply curling up on the couch for a nap, we'll happily match their pace. We'll also send plenty of photos and updates throughout their stay because we know being away from your dog isn't always easy. We'd love to meet you both! We keep our schedule intentionally flexible so we can build our day around your dog's routine instead of expecting them to adjust to ours. Your dog's safety is our number one priority. Our backyard is fully fenced and we supervise outdoor time closely. Because we have young children, we've already built our home around safety. Medications, chemicals, and anything potentially dangerous stay locked away, and as a gardener I'm always mindful of which plants are safe and which aren't. If your dog joins us for a walk or an adventure, they'll always be on leash and right by our side. They won't be left unattended anytime, ever. We don't take guest dogs to dog parks or introduce them to unfamiliar dogs. We prefer controlled environments where we know exactly what's going on. About: I'm a very responsible middle-aged woman who works from home and would be happy to care for your fur baby. Eventually I'll get a dog of my own! Our household consists of me and my partner, Rocky. We both grew up with pets, but currently don't have any. I work about 15-25 hours a week from home so I have plenty of time throughout the day for walks around the neighborhood and trips to the Alameda dog park. My partner and I are homebodies and enjoy spending time working on our house and gardening. I have a fenced in yard and several rooms of my house can be sectioned off to allow for large spaces to hang out, if the dog needs it's own space. I also have plenty of room to set up a crate. I do not have any pets. I would love to get a dog, but I travel to Vancouver 4 times a year to visit my mom in long term care and occasionally I have to travel for a week or more for work and I don't want to leave a pet for that long. My partner goes to the office Monday - Friday.

I have a paved yard for sunbathing and potty breaks, the door to which I work right next to. I live near Lake Merritt, the Morcom Rose Garden, and a dog park, so I can provide walks of all lengths. My home is very cozy and has multiple spaces where an animal can detox from any overstimulation. I can provide a dog crate, scheduled meals, supervision, and play.

About: I have 2 cats and sit for family/friends pets often. I can follow specific instructions well, and am well equipped to handle most animals. I am a high school student on summer break, and have a relatively flexible schedule to cater to any specific needs a pet could have. I care for pets in my home however comfortable they are. I let them adjust to a new setting, and giving them as much love and attention as they can tolerate.

About: I had a dog for 15 years and a cat for 2 years, giving me experience with pets at all stages of life. They are very special and I have a deep passion for caretaking, one that extends to your pets! I can also administer medications if needed. I am a student at UCSF on summer break. I have availability most days—weekdays and weekends, just need a few days notice! I am also a night owl so I can watch your pets well into the evenings! I have a fenced backyard and live in a dog-friendly neighborhood. I love going on long walks around here solo, and a pet companion would make that even better!
