About: I’ve grown up with cats and kittens my whole life and continued adopting them as an adult — animals have always been at the heart of my home! I’ve raised and trained a puppy from 8 weeks old, cared for up to 3 medium-sized dogs at a time, and have experience housing and caring for rabbits, birds, and reptiles too. 🐶🐱🐰🦜🐸🦎 Your pet will be welcomed into a warm, loving home where they’ll be treated like family! I’m also a pet parent myself — my 1-year-old pup and 9-year-old cat are both incredibly friendly with people and other animals and absolutely love making new friends. About: I've loved cats for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my family always had cats, and I learned early on that every cat has their own unique personality, preferences, and way of showing affection. In 2014, I adopted my cat Momo, who became my constant companion for nearly 12 years. He had such a big impact on my life that he eventually became the inspiration for much of my artwork and the creative business I run today. About: I have been caring for pets my entire life. I have always had at least two or three cats and dogs or two. I have raised puppies and cared for elderly pets. I have cared for diabetic cats and dogs with cancer. I understand the importance of following pet parents instructions when caring for other’s animals because each pet has very different needs. I am free right now all days but Tuesday which is when I attend classes at SFSU. I am free for dogs walks or dog sitting all days but Tuesday as long as I have a days notice. I live in an apartment with no yard right now down the street from lake Merrit. There is a dog park just 1 block down the street with a fence that I will walk dogs down to 4-8 times a day depending on the needs of the dog. We do have a large apartment and very pet friendly environment.

About: I managed a pet sitting service for 4 years with more than 400 clients and owned my own pet sitting service for 2 years, providing above and beyond pet care: dog walking, boarding, overnight house sitting, cat sitting, and other small pet care. I'm trained in insulin injections and skilled at applying ear drops, administering pills, and other basic daily medicinal needs. I have a very flexible, remote job and will prioritize your pet and it's needs! I take my own dog for hikes and play dates 3-4 times a week (on top of regular walks!) and look forward to having your dog join our pack! I have a two dogs of my own and your pup must get along with mine. I do provide a crate should your dog prefer that in my home. We have a fenced in yard for late night outs. About: I'm a very responsible middle-aged woman who works from home and would be happy to care for your fur baby. Eventually I'll get a dog of my own! Our household consists of me and my partner, Rocky. We both grew up with pets, but currently don't have any. I work about 15-25 hours a week from home so I have plenty of time throughout the day for walks around the neighborhood and trips to the Alameda dog park. My partner and I are homebodies and enjoy spending time working on our house and gardening. About: I had a dog for 15 years and while we are holding out on getting a new one for a few years till we stop traveling so much, we would love to hang with yours periodically when in town! We have a fenced in yard to throw a ball in (and a six and nine year old who never tire in doing so) and love taking walks to all the local Piedmont parks with a pup. My husband is mildly allergic, so unfortunately only able to take in non shedding, hypoallergenic poodle type mixes. About: We've designed our experience a little differently than most. Rather than filling our home with multiple unfamiliar dogs, we intentionally host just one dog (or one family's dogs) at a time. We made this decision because we know separation can be hard. Our goal is to give every guest a calm, relaxing vacation while giving their humans peace of mind knowing their pup has our full attention. My husband Cameron and I have both been around animals our entire lives and have experience with puppies, seniors, bulldogs, and dogs with special needs. We also have two young kids (ages 3 & 6) who absolutely love animals and know how to be gentle and respectful around them. Whether your dog loves hiking, backyard sniff sessions, playing fetch, or simply curling up on the couch for a nap, we'll happily match their pace. We'll also send plenty of photos and updates throughout their stay because we know being away from your dog isn't always easy. We'd love to meet you both! We keep our schedule intentionally flexible so we can build our day around your dog's routine instead of expecting them to adjust to ours. Your dog's safety is our number one priority. Our backyard is fully fenced and we supervise outdoor time closely. Because we have young children, we've already built our home around safety. Medications, chemicals, and anything potentially dangerous stay locked away, and as a gardener I'm always mindful of which plants are safe and which aren't. If your dog joins us for a walk or an adventure, they'll always be on leash and right by our side. They won't be left unattended anytime, ever. We don't take guest dogs to dog parks or introduce them to unfamiliar dogs. We prefer controlled environments where we know exactly what's going on. We know leaving your dog with someone new can feel stressful. We take that responsibility seriously and will care for them like one of our own.

About: I love dogs. Plain and simple. Nothing makes me happier or puts a bigger smile on my face than seeing a dog strut down the sidewalk, living its best life, or just stretched out somewhere soaking up the sun. I’ve had the honor of being a dog dad to three pups over the years, and I miss having one around. I’m currently dog-childless, and after recently retiring from a job I had for 32 years, I’ve got a little more time on my hands and, honestly, I’m craving some much-needed dog time. I’m not quite in a position to bring another dog into our family right now, so I figured this might be the next best thing. I’d love to spend some of that time giving your dog some love, getting them out for a good walk, letting them get some exercise, and just hanging out with them. I genuinely enjoy being around dogs. They make me happy, and I think they can tell when somebody really likes them. So I’d love nothing more than to meet your pup, get to know their personality, and make a new four-legged friend. I’ll give them plenty of attention, take good care of them, and probably talk to them like they’re a person. Because, well… they are. At least in my book. I’m retired, so I have a pretty open and flexible schedule these days. I’m available Monday through Thursday from 8am–6pm, and honestly, I can’t think of a better way to spend some of that time than getting outside and hanging out with a dog. I like getting some steps in, getting some fresh air, and having a dog along makes all of that a lot more fun. So pet care fits pretty naturally into my week. I’m happy to work around your dog’s routine and give them some attention, exercise, and companionship while you’re busy. Since I’m offering dog walks, most of my time with your pup will be out getting some fresh air, stepping out on the town, and having a good time. I’ll come to your home, get your pup ready to go, and we’ll head out for a good walk. I’ll follow whatever instructions you leave for me, but mostly I’ll just pay attention to your dog and let them be themselves. Some dogs want to cover some ground, some want to stop and sniff every five feet, and some just want a little extra attention along the way. I’m good with all of it. And when I say I’ll treat your dog like my own, I mean it. My dogs were family, and they were treated like royalty with plenty of love, attention, belly rubs, and affection. Basically, I want your dog to have a great time, feel safe and loved, and be thinking, “When is this guy coming back?”

About: I want every dog i walk to have a happy wagging tail when we are together. I have experience walking large and small dogs alike. I have a very flexible schedule Monday thru Friday, mostly in the afternoons and early evenings. I work on weekends so I'm not available then. Since I only do dog walking, I am very careful about encountering other dogs, crossing streets at lights or crosswalks. I pay close attention to their needs as we walk to see if they need petting, treats or to sniff around the area.

I am free right now all days but Tuesday which is when I attend classes at SFSU. I am free for dogs walks or dog sitting all days but Tuesday as long as I have a days notice. I live in an apartment with no yard right now down the street from lake Merrit. There is a dog park just 1 block down the street with a fence that I will walk dogs down to 4-8 times a day depending on the needs of the dog. We do have a large apartment and very pet friendly environment.

For my cat parents out there: Because of my 3 kids (Kina, Nemr, & Freyja) and a short stint fostering, I'm seasoned in all things cat/kitten: socializing, changing litter, oral admin of meds, treating fleas, bathing, nail trimming, de-shedding, training (sit, high-five, stand, turn-around, kiss). Since I’m a full-time student, my Rover calendar is currently limited to weekends and school breaks. That said, many families are comfortable having my partner, Ian, join when he’s available—which allows for a little more flexibility with scheduling. It’s a wonderful setup because Ian works from home (and is basically a dog at heart!), so your pets will almost always have company and care. Rest assured, it will only be me caring for your pets unless we’ve discussed and agreed otherwise. I’m also happy to bring Ian to our meet & greet and provide references upon request! I am responsible for creating a safe space for pets in their home. I make sure that they are comfortable and their boundaries are respected and understood with the guidance of their body language and the wisdom from their humans. I have firsthand experience caring for an anxious dog who later developed dementia and physical limitations. Because of that, I’m especially comfortable with senior dogs and dogs who are sensitive or easily overwhelmed. I’m especially available on weekends, when I can spend plenty of time with your dog rather than fitting visits around a packed schedule. Depending on their personality and energy level, we might have a quiet day at home, take neighborhood walks, or head out to places like Piedmont Park, the Albany Bulb, or the beach.
