About: While I'm new to Rover, I have over 10 years experience taking care of my friends and family's cats, dogs, insects, and plants. I'm excited to start this business on Rover and extend that pet/plant care to the people in my East Bay community! I'm a landscape horticulture student in Oakland, so when I'm not in class, working in my garden, or spending time with my own kitties, I love taking care of my friends, neighbors, and families' pets. They bring so much silliness and happiness into my routine! When walking your dogs or taking care of your pets in your home, respect, safety, and trust are my top priorities. The pet parents I work with know their pets best, and I take their guidance and wishes very seriously. When I'm housesitting, I treat clients' homes with even more respect than I treat my own.

About: Ever since I was a kid, I've loved animals. Growing up, my family had both cats and dogs, and I always enjoyed getting to know their unique personalities. I spent time playing with them, caring for them, and even drawing them. In 2014, I adopted my first pet as an adult, Momo, a sweet cat with short legs and a big personality. In 2020, our family grew again with Oogi, a playful corgi. Through caring for them, I gained years of hands-on experience with feeding routines, exercise, enrichment, grooming, training, and veterinary care. Oogi and I completed multiple training classes together, and I spent time learning about dog behavior and body language to better understand and communicate with dogs. I also cared for Momo throughout his senior years, including administering medications and supporting him through medical treatments. As a home-based artist, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide plenty of attention, companionship, walks, playtime, and care throughout the day. I understand how important pets are because mine have always been family, and I will treat your pets with the same love, patience, and respect I would want for my own. My days typically include working from home, which means I can provide regular attention, companionship, walks, playtime, feeding, and check-ins throughout the day. I strive to keep pets on their normal routines and provide updates so you can feel confident while you're away. I understand that every pet and household is unique. Before each booking, I take time to learn your pet's routines, preferences, medications, and any special instructions. I pay close attention to safety, keep doors and gates secure, monitor behavior and health, and make sure pets receive the care and attention they need. I treat every home with respect and will provide regular updates and photos so you know how your pet is doing while you're away.

About: Hiya, I'm Peter! I've cared for dogs for as long as I can remember, and have since provided countless hours of pet-care of friends, family, friends of the family, and families of friends! I have years of experience doing walks, play, feeding, bathing, clean-up and more. I have experience with excitable breeds like a neighbor's golden doodle to my family's mellowed-out portugese water doggies, along with senior care. I see animal care as a privilege. Our pets are no less than little bundles of feelings and life that we are given the opportunity to cherish. I have been told on multiple occasions that I am able to calm animals unusually quickly, and I feel that I am attuned to the emotions of animals I care for. I would love to opportunity to provide care to your pet! I work from home in a low-speed position, so I have a flexible schedule for your pets' needs. Normally, I would do a morning and afternoon walk, with potty breaks peppered whenever they need. I can also step away from my work at a moment's notice if anything arises, from entertaining a bored doggie to foiling attempted counter surfing! I have a paved yard for sunbathing and potty breaks, the door to which I work right next to. I live near Lake Merritt, the Morcom Rose Garden, and a dog park, so I can provide walks of all lengths. My home is very cozy and has multiple spaces where an animal can detox from any overstimulation. I can provide a dog crate, scheduled meals, supervision, and play.

About: I have a pup named Frida who is a rescue and has taught me so much about patience and care. I’ve grown up with dogs and have helped sit for friends dogs. I am very observant and attentive of dog behaviors, personalities, and matching their energy. As a Rover user and dog mom I am very amenable to the level of care and love your pup may need 🌞 I’m currently a full-time student halfway into my Master’s program to be an Art Therapist. My program is online with a lot of flexibility for visits and walks-great for me and your pup! In a client’s home I am mindful of existing protocols and placements of items. This means knowing what treats can be given and when, where the leashes/toys go, enforcing established rules while keeping a mindful presence.

Single family home, small enclosed yard, great neighborhood. Work 3miles min home M-F 8-4, home weekends. Friday late afternoon drop off/late Sunday pickup. Walks, hikes, trips to Berkeley Marina, feeding, play, medications and lots of cuddling. Enclosed yard, single story single family home, no kids, non-smoking house, furniture and carpets all dog friendly, nice residential area in Berkeley. Access to outdoors all day.

About: We are a husband and wife team with a combined 30 years of experience working with dogs. We have had the joy of caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, & personalities. For us, our job is simple. To make sure your dog feels safe, happy, and loved when you are away. Since my husband and I both work from home, our schedules are flexible. This means your dog will have constant companionship throughout the day. A typical day includes: Outdoor playtime at various parks, 3 dedicated walks, and lots of snuggles. We love sending a daily photo and updates, so you can see how much fun your furry family member is having. We live in a large 2,000 sq ft apartment with lots of room for your pet to roam. Our neighborhood is very quiet and relaxed. Lots of families and very safe.
