When she was concerned about an ongoing eye problem of his, she didn’t hesitate to phone me for a consultation. Her love for dogs shines. She is able to manage her own two dogs and several guest-pups at the same time. Kit’s premises are dog heaven. She has a large hard-scaped courtyard as well as an open hillside for outdoor play. Her guests are welcomed into the house and given plenty of cuddles and affection. Shug was given lots of human attention and canine socializing. When I arrived to pick Shug up, he initially sauntered up to greet me, then immediately ran back to the glass door to try to rejoin his pup-pals inside the house. It was the ultimate proof that he had a terrific experience with Kit. I’m delighted to commend her to you without reservation.”

About: I had a dog for 15 years and while we are holding out on getting a new one for a few years till we stop traveling so much, we would love to hang with yours periodically when in town! We have a fenced in yard to throw a ball in (and a six and nine year old who never tire in doing so) and love taking walks to all the local Piedmont parks with a pup. My husband is mildly allergic, so unfortunately only able to take in non shedding, hypoallergenic poodle type mixes. And of course dogs need to be kid friendly, but my kiddoes are very sweet and gentle with dogs and will give the dogs lots of pets and affection in return. My husband and I both predominately work from home so there's always someone around to love on a furry friend or take a break to get outside for a walk. I predominately work from home and I love frequent walks with a pup. We live close to many Piedmont parks which is a great place to go and visit other dogs or just explore some new grounds. I have a fenced yard and loving older gentle children who adore pets. I can crate your dog if desired to sleep, but also have an 8 year old that would be very happy to snuggle if preferred. You can trust that we will care for your pups as if they are our very own family dog for the duration of their stay.

About: I have a sweet German Shorthaired Pointer named Belle who keeps me active. Belle and I enjoy long walks at the Berkeley Marina, Point Isabel, and King Estate. On good days, I take Belle on hikes at Redwood, Sibley, and the surrounding areas. I am home full-time with my 6.5 y/o German Pointer, Belle. Belle and I spend at least 1 hour outside everyday, weather permitting, and would love some company on our daily adventures. I can't take her out on hikes daily so some days consist of multiple walks with many potty breaks throughout the day. Belle is a very sweet and easy-going dog; she can be anti-social or shy at first and needs time to warm up to other dogs. Don't be offended if Belle shows no interest in your dog! Dogs have supervised access to the yard for bio breaks and are free to explore the home. Mental games and toys are available to keep dogs entertained if I am busy in the kitchen or running errands. I also like to train dogs basic cues (sit, down, stay, here/come, etc.) so if you are okay with that, I'm happy to do so! Belle and I completed beginners and intermediate training with Bravo Pup, and I like to continue to reinforce our training every day.

From the daily pix & videos, it seemed that Alex integrated Mika into her family life completely, even having her at their backyard easter egg hunt! Mika got lots of play time & tons of petting, played with her daughters at the playground across the street, and did her napping right under Alex's feet when she was working. My 70lb dog, who can be quite shy around new people, quickly warmed up to them during the meet & greet, which is a testament to their patience and experience with shy dogs. They also took time to answer all my questions and show me around where the dog would stay/the yard during the meet and greet. Throughout the weekend I received regular updates, including photos and videos, which really put my mind at ease. Robert and Brian took my dog on long walks, spent time playing tug, and even designed enrichment activities like painting for my dog. My dog returned happy and healthy.
