I was concerned about Dobby staying in someone else’s house with another dog because he is a rescue and he’s kind of skittish, but Dobby and Mia got along really well. Nikita sent me daily updates and photos and that was very reassuring. I also really appreciated the fact that they took Dobby out on hikes and walks with them. That was a real plus, since Dobby is an active dog. I would highly recommend Anthony and Nikita to anyone who is looking for a pet sitter. We made this decision because we know separation can be hard. Our goal is to give every guest a calm, relaxing vacation while giving their humans peace of mind knowing their pup has our full attention. My husband Cameron and I have both been around animals our entire lives and have experience with puppies, seniors, bulldogs, and dogs with special needs. We also have two young kids (ages 3 & 6) who absolutely love animals and know how to be gentle and respectful around them. Whether your dog loves hiking, backyard sniff sessions, playing fetch, or simply curling up on the couch for a nap, we'll happily match their pace. We'll also send plenty of photos and updates throughout their stay because we know being away from your dog isn't always easy. We'd love to meet you both! We keep our schedule intentionally flexible so we can build our day around your dog's routine instead of expecting them to adjust to ours. Your dog's safety is our number one priority. Our backyard is fully fenced and we supervise outdoor time closely. Because we have young children, we've already built our home around safety. Medications, chemicals, and anything potentially dangerous stay locked away, and as a gardener I'm always mindful of which plants are safe and which aren't. If your dog joins us for a walk or an adventure, they'll always be on leash and right by our side. They won't be left unattended anytime, ever. We don't take guest dogs to dog parks or introduce them to unfamiliar dogs. We prefer controlled environments where we know exactly what's going on. We know leaving your dog with someone new can feel stressful. We take that responsibility seriously and will care for them like one of our own.

About: I had a dog for 15 years and while we are holding out on getting a new one for a few years till we stop traveling so much, we would love to hang with yours periodically when in town! We have a fenced in yard to throw a ball in (and a six and nine year old who never tire in doing so) and love taking walks to all the local Piedmont parks with a pup. My husband is mildly allergic, so unfortunately only able to take in non shedding, hypoallergenic poodle type mixes. And of course dogs need to be kid friendly, but my kiddoes are very sweet and gentle with dogs and will give the dogs lots of pets and affection in return. My husband and I both predominately work from home so there's always someone around to love on a furry friend or take a break to get outside for a walk. I predominately work from home and I love frequent walks with a pup. We live close to many Piedmont parks which is a great place to go and visit other dogs or just explore some new grounds. I have a fenced yard and loving older gentle children who adore pets. I can crate your dog if desired to sleep, but also have kids that would be very happy to snuggle if preferred. You can trust that we will care for your pups as if they are our very own family dog for the duration of their stay.

About: I'm a very responsible middle-aged woman who works from home and would be happy to care for your fur baby. Eventually I'll get a dog of my own! Our household consists of me and my partner, Rocky. We both grew up with pets, but currently don't have any. I work about 15-25 hours a week from home so I have plenty of time throughout the day for walks around the neighborhood and trips to the Alameda dog park. My partner and I are homebodies and enjoy spending time working on our house and gardening. I have a fenced in yard and several rooms of my house can be sectioned off to allow for large spaces to hang out, if the dog needs it's own space. I also have plenty of room to set up a crate. I do not have any pets. I would love to get a dog, but I travel to Vancouver 4 times a year to visit my mom in long term care and occasionally I have to travel for a week or more for work and I don't want to leave a pet for that long. About: Animals have always been a very important part of my life. Growing up, my mother operated a small pet rescue and animal shelter organization in Asia, and from a very young age I helped care for rescued dogs, cats, and abandoned animals alongside her. Over the years, we helped rescue and rehome thousands of animals, many of whom came from difficult or traumatic situations. caring for animals feels completely natural to me. About: I have had and cared for pets since childhood, rescuing (literally from the streets) a lovely pitbull named Olive when I lived in Philadelphia. Moved to CA in May 2026 from East Coast. I recently moved to CA to support my wife’s new job in SF. I have a fully open schedule at the moment and with a love of animals I thought that this would be a better way to learn and love my new community than digging through online job ads. I am willing to sit, play, walk, feed and care for your pets as needed. I’m an active (formerly collegiate) runner and can go as fast or slowly as your pet needs. I have also had fish among other exotic animals over my lifetime. I have experience with disabled pets, pets with extra medications, and pets with special needs. I am also extremely capable of taking care of multiple pets at a time. I can easily manage various species of pets at a time. They will be well cared for with me. House sitting with light chores and overnight care are not an issue with my schedule! In the case of small and medium sized dogs I'm capable of handling them on walks if they're very reactionary to people and other animals. About: My pug mix Lulu will LOVE to go on walks with your dog in the Oakland hills. Lulu loves all friends and has made so many furry friends in the neighborhood in Piedmont Pines. We are very active together and go on lots of walks, hikes and I take Lulu to Joaquin Miller dog park and Fairy Land dog meet up. I'd love to take your dog along on our adventures and host your dog at my house, or go for a drop in visit with Lulu at your house. We'll have so much fun together, especially with Lulu wanting to play constantly! Your dog's comfort and safety is my priority, and I also give them so many hugs and snuggles. Since I have my 2 year old Pug mix Lulu, we have a great routine together that includes morning and afternoon walks and taking her to dog parks in the evening. She also has her best friends up the street on Ascot and we go play with them a bunch of times in the week. Lulu's happiness and joy is my priority, and we prioritize being outside for playtime and hikes as much as possible. I'll be sure to include this care for your pets as well because they deserve to have the most fun possible!! I currently work a couple part time jobs and my schedule is very flexible. Pet care is easy for me at the moment. I try my absolute best to keep everything as safe and as comfortable as possible at my home for the dogs!! They are my priority :) I always keep a good eye on them when they are in the backyard, and I never leave them fully alone when they are outside. They also get endless cuddles from me throughout the day, which I hope helps them feel comforted and safe with me :)

When we messaged looking for boarding for our dog in about a weeks time, he replied quickly and set up a meet and greet for the next day. He replied quickly to all our messages bout logistics. Second, he has a great combination of attentiveness and no-stress. He asked all the usual questions about our dog, and wanted to get to know her needs. When meeting Bowie for the first time, he read he body language as other dogs went by and even guessed “she isn’t been to this park before, right?” Which was true. Our dog isn’t used to socializing much with other dogs, so we were a little nervous about leaving her with another dog in the house. But Mike was very relaxed and confident about it, without being minimizing. We could tell that he reads dogs carefully and knows his dog well which made us feel comfortable that he could manage the two dogs interactions well. Finally, Bowie clearly had fun! We got some great pictures of her on hikes, lounging in the yard, and napping on the couch - her kind of vacation! My only hesitation in leaving a positive review is that other people might snag the future dates we want for boarding 😁”
