“Of I could give Steven 100 stars I would. He did a fantastic job with my dog. I asked him could we meet before he watched her and he was now than willing. I asked because my dog doesn't care for men nor does she like other pets. When I introduced them she was snappy at first but warmed up to Steven. But Steven brought his dog out and I could not control her. She went right into attack mode and all I could think is, this is not going to work. Well me and Steven had a conversation on several ways to handle this. And ended up not utilizing any we talked about. He had her social with other dogs by the end of the day and they played together and say together. He sent me pictures and videos of the interactions and made me feel comfortable. When I picked her up he had everything ready for her to leave with and she was a happy dog. From this interaction I'm going to use Steven every time I need a sitter. “Five stars are not enough to praise Jeannette. I had to go into emergency surgery after I went to the emergency room. It was 4th of July weekend and I didn’t have anyone to watch my dog, Ellie. I contacted Jeannette who immediately offered to come to the hospital and get the keys to my home. Once she arrived she reassured me that Ellie would be okay. About: I’m a lifelong animal lover who grew up on a small family farm, where pets were always part of the family. My parents frequently adopted and fostered both cats and dogs, so I’ve spent years caring for all kinds of personalities and breeds—from tiny Chihuahuas to Basset Hounds and high-energy Huskies. Although I can’t currently have pets of my own, caring for other people’s animals has become my favorite way to stay connected to what I love most. I treat every pet like my own and make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. About: Me and my girlfriend have 2 cats. One of our cats is Carrot, he is a younger orange cat, which means he absolutely crazy! He loves running around, knocking over things, climbing up us like we are trees, and generally getting into trouble. Our other cat KB is an older tabby, he is quiet and mostly likes his alone sleeping time, although he’ll occasionally come out to hang out if it’s calm enough. I volunteer walking dogs at the local shelter so am comfortable with pretty much all pets (but we do live in an apartment so please see bottom section for ones we cannot care for). We have fostered everything from energetic puppies to FIV+ cats, couch potatoes to zoomie kings-and-queens. Seniors and animals who need lots of affection are our specialties! We have one dog. She is 7 lbs, 14 years old, blind, and stays in a bedroom sleeping for the most part. Fosters come and go and will be noted on the top line if current residing. I am not regularly working because of some health issues, so there is a ton of flexibility in my schedule and in our home. If I'm not around, my boyfriend Dave usually is: sometimes he might be the one caring for and walking your pet, or meeting up with you for pick up/drop off. Once in a while, I work 8 hour shifts on weekends, but he is home during that. After doing Rover for a few months, we realized that Dave ends up doing quite a bit! Please know that even though you'll mostly be messaging me through the app, he will play a very big part in the pet-sitting. Between the two of us, your pet will not be alone much at all while boarding. We also have lots of toys, beds, a crate, and snacks, so all you’ll have to bring is food. To me, there is no point in having a pet unless you're going to spoil them. I will do everything possible to make sure your loved one isn't missing you too much. There are a few pets we’re unable to take. Our apartment can be noisy with people outside, neighbors coming in and out, etc…If your dog is nervous and fearful, those noises can exacerbate that in an already strange situation/new place for them. We also want to be respectful of our neighbors so cannot take loud, constant barking. I typically do photos and updates once in the evening around 7:00 or 8:00 but can do more or less if you’d like! I tend to be a yapper so try to limit myself to just once haha Generally, I just am very loving to all creatures. I volunteer a lot and am used to many, many kinds of animals. I live in a loft, so that can be confusing sometimes for dogs who are used to going potty in a yard (leashed potty break on a city street and puppy pads are what typically do here), but there is plenty of space to run around in the loft because it is one open space, so playtime is not an issue.
About: I grew up on a full swing farm outside of Port Huron, MI. We had border collies and Great Pyrenees and I spent many hours exploring and adventuring with them (teaching them to open doors and coral the cows and sheep!) I’m currently working as a freelance artist (pet portraits!) and yoga instructor, so my schedule is very flexible based on the needs of your pet. Whether at my home or yours I am an avid runner/walker and will take your pup for strolls around town. If they enjoy the dog park I’m also happy to incorporate some social hours in to the sitting!

About: I absolutely love animals. I have taken care of dogs since I was very young, and have loved dogs all my life. I always dog sit for close friends and family. I’m good with all animals. I have a flexible work schedule, that allows me extra time to spend time with your pet. I work from home the majority of the time. “Of I could give Steven 100 stars I would. He did a fantastic job with my dog. I asked him could we meet before he watched her and he was now than willing. I asked because my dog doesn't care for men nor does she like other pets. When I introduced them she was snappy at first but warmed up to Steven. But Steven brought his dog out and I could not control her. She went right into attack mode and all I could think is, this is not going to work. Well me and Steven had a conversation on several ways to handle this. And ended up not utilizing any we talked about. He had her social with other dogs by the end of the day and they played together and say together. He sent me pictures and videos of the interactions and made me feel comfortable. When I picked her up he had everything ready for her to leave with and she was a happy dog. From this interaction I'm going to use Steven every time I need a sitter. About: I've taken care of both cats and dogs for my entire life. From elderly beagles to pitbulls with no concept of their own size, I love them all! I'm experienced with special needs pets, having personally taken care of pets who are blind and deaf; who have FIV, FeLV and CKD; and who are missing teeth and tail. I am familiar with giving meds orally (both pill and syringe form), taking care of sick pets, and monitoring symptoms. You know what your pet needs, and I always make sure quality care is given in your absence! Please note I will likely use my own handless leash for safety purposes. I am comfortable working with reactive dogs and dogs with prey drives. However, it is crucial that you inform me of any behavior issues beforehand. Owners who are not upfront with behavior issues risk being dropped as clients. If booking times are flexible, please let me know. This helps me book you faster and allows us to start conversations about your pet's needs earlier. Please only book with me when you know what days and times I am needed. Open requests block times in my calendar, so booking in a timely manner is very important. If you would prefer to boom after the meet & greet, that is absolutely okay! Please just let me know upon scheduling the meet and greet. I am currently available mornings, and nights M-F and all day weekends. I typically visit 7-7:45am on weekday mornings and 4-7pm weekday nights. I make visits all day on weekends. I am happy to accommodate specific medication schedules upon request. Starting June 15th, I will be available 7am-9pm all seven days of the week. Starting June 15th, I will be opening slots for clients who wish for their dogs to join me on hikes or long walks (3+ hours) at dog-friendly hiking spots in Michigan. Owners will be charged the housesitting rate, and will be expected to prepare treats, meals, and water for their dogs. If you are interested in reserving a spot or speaking about specifics, please book an overnight stay so we can chat. I aim to respect your home and leave it cleaner than I found it! I'm happy to clean pet bowls, vacuum pet beds, etc. If possible, please provide the name of your home internet and password. This saves time when I am sending you cards, questions, or other updates!
