About: I’m have 2 cats stormy and kitty . They and both indoors but I gave her then option to go outside too. They are very friendly. We do feed other cats bin our neighbors I have 4 bowel of water and food on my porch for them. Always have loved animals and had a caring connection with them. In addition to taking care of our family pets, I have also helped care for family and friends furry friends I work part time and I’m able to do house visits or add a walk in the park in my schedule it no problem. About: For 18 years I’ve lived with multiple cats and since I was old enough I have been taking care of them. I currently have two cats one of which we got as a 2 month old kitten so I have experience with small kittens. I have administered oral medicine to my kitten when she was 3 months and had gotten a respiratory infection giving me experience in giving medicine to cats especially a very young one. About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve had my family dog, Chutney, for over 10 years, and taking care of him is really what got me into dog sitting. I did Rover throughout college and absolutely loved it, and after taking a break during the pandemic, I’m excited to be offering my services again. Since moving to Detroit, I’ve spent the past three years dog sitting and caring for many wonderful pups. I previously worked fully remotely, and while I’m now hybrid, my schedule is still very flexible. Right now, I’m only in the office once a week for a couple of hours, and starting in July 2026 I’ll be in the office three days a week. The good news is that I get to choose my own hours, so I won’t be gone all day just a couple hours! This flexibility allows me to continue giving pets plenty of attention, companionship, walks, and care throughout the day. Pet care fits pretty easily into my daily routine because I currently work a hybrid schedule and only go into the office once a week for a couple of hours. Starting in July 2026, my schedule will shift to three in-office days per week, but I’ll still only need to be there for a couple of hours each day. I also live with my partner, who is great with dogs and typically home during the day since he works evenings, so there’s usually someone around to keep your dog company and cared for while I’m briefly in the office. This gives us plenty of flexibility to follow your dog’s routine, provide lots of attention, and make sure they feel comfortable and cared for throughout the day. I also make time for at least two walks a day, along with regular check-ins, feeding, and anything else your dog may need to feel happy and comfortable. I make it a priority to make sure your dog always feels safe and comfortable. I treat every dog as if they were my own. I give plenty of extra cuddles, attention, and quality time so they feel secure and loved while you’re away. You can trust that your pet will be in good hands.

About: Most dogs aren't badly behaved. They're stressed, confused, or never taught how to communicate what they need. I spent a year training in person under Tess Erngren, founder of GoodDog Academy in Oslo and one of Scandinavia's most established voices in reward-based, fear-free dog behavior work, alongside my own husky, learning hands-on. That year, and everything my own dog has taught me since, still shapes how I work today. I have pet first aid knowledge from that training as well as general first aid experience. Eight years ago, my first husky changed how I see training completely. A puppy class on fear-free, positive reinforcement methods showed me that most of what I thought I knew about training was actually about control, not trust. Force-free doesn't mean soft. It means real structure, built through a dog's own agency instead of fear and appeasement. I don't use an aversive of any kind: no e-collars, no prong or choke collars, no corrections meant to intimidate. Letting a dog choose what to sniff, where to go, and when to disengage builds confidence, not just compliance. That philosophy is the same whether I'm walking a husky who needs to run their nose for an hour, or sitting with a bichon who just wants a calm lap and a familiar routine. A session with me might look like decompression walks, nose work, or simply unstructured time to explore, whatever that particular dog needs that day. I offer walks, in-home drop-in visits, house sitting, and 1:1 training, along with basic husbandry support like nail trims and brushing. My training sessions aren't about teaching your dog to perform on command. I teach you the tools and principles: communication, timing, and how to read what your dog is actually telling you, so you can train whatever you want, on your own terms. My schedule is fully flexible, mornings, afternoons, evenings, or weekends. I'm happy to work around whatever fits your dog's routine best, including last-minute requests when possible. All sessions take place at your home, so your dog stays in a familiar environment. I limit the use of crates as much as possible, dogs do best with freedom and choice, but if your dog is already crate-trained and calm in one, a short session is fine. I offer meet and greets whenever that's helpful. When meeting a new dog, I let them come to me rather than approaching directly, stay relaxed and at their level, and pay close attention to their body language so the introduction happens at their pace, not mine.

About: For over 25 years, our home has never been without a dog. Sadly, we had to say goodbye to our beloved boy, Blue, this past year, and we deeply miss the daily joy and warmth a pet brings to a household. Right now, our family is in a transition period as our daughter heads off to college to play softball. Before we commit to a new pet of our own, we want to see how her game and travel schedule unfolds so we can ensure we have the proper time and dedication a permanent dog deserves. Caring for your pet gives us the wonderful opportunity to welcome that familiar canine joy back into our lives, while giving your dog a warm, experienced, and incredibly attentive "home away from home" where they will be treated like family. Since I work from home full-time, your pup will have constant companionship throughout the day. I am easily able to step away for regular, timely bathroom breaks, and I love using my work breaks to check in on them, stretch our legs, and truly enjoy their company. We have a fully fenced-in backyard, but please note that one portion of the fence in the back is a bit lower. Because of this, we want to ensure your pup isn't an active "fence-jumper." However, safety is my top priority! My work-from-home setup gives me full visibility of the entire backyard while I work. If there is ever any concern, I am more than happy to accompany your dog outside every time they need to do their business. Daily Routine & Preferences Once the workday wraps up, it’s all about the dogs—longer neighborhood walks and dedicated playtime are always on the horizon! I am incredibly comfortable caring for dogs of all ages, from energetic young pups to gentle seniors, provided they are fully house-trained.
“Emily, Jason & Larry were excellent hosts!! Upon my request for a sitter, they suggested a meet & greet between our dogs. They were welcoming and caring about insuring the dogs were compatible. We agreed on letting Nanook stay. They were very communicative about what our dog was up to, how he was getting along with Larry and they sent photos too. After the stay we were surprised to have received a thank you note and a personalized treat in our bag. That was such a sweet touch! We would definitely book with Emily & Jason again!
