About: I've taken care of both cats and dogs for my entire life. From elderly beagles to pitbulls with no concept of their own size, I love them all! I'm experienced with special needs pets, having personally taken care of pets who are blind and deaf; who have FIV, FeLV and CKD; and who are missing teeth and tail. I am familiar with giving meds orally (both pill and syringe form), taking care of sick pets, and monitoring symptoms. You know what your pet needs, and I always make sure quality care is given in your absence! Please note I will likely use my own handless leash for safety purposes. I am comfortable working with reactive dogs and dogs with prey drives. However, it is crucial that you inform me of any behavior issues beforehand. Owners who are not upfront with behavior issues risk being dropped as clients. If booking times are flexible, please let me know. This helps me book you faster and allows us to start conversations about your pet's needs earlier. Please only book with me when you know what days and times I am needed. Open requests block times in my calendar, so booking in a timely manner is very important. If you would prefer to boom after the meet & greet, that is absolutely okay! Please just let me know upon scheduling the meet and greet. I am currently available mornings, and nights M-F and all day weekends. I typically visit 7-7:45am on weekday mornings and 4-7pm weekday nights. I make visits all day on weekends. I am happy to accommodate specific medication schedules upon request. Starting June 15th, I will be available 7am-9pm all seven days of the week. Starting June 15th, I will be opening slots for clients who wish for their dogs to join me on hikes or long walks (3+ hours) at dog-friendly hiking spots in Michigan. Owners will be charged the housesitting rate, and will be expected to prepare treats, meals, and water for their dogs. I have a fenced in back yard, but do live on the second floor of a duplex, so going up and down stairs is necessary in order to get to and from the yard. I also have a great neighborhood for going on walks and usually take my own pup on 2/day - I have an 11 year old blue heeler who gets along with almost every dog, but if possible it would be nice to have an introduction with her before dog sitting. I have 3 years of experience with many happy, repeating Rover clients. My clients and their pets mean a lot to me! My goal is to put your mind at ease while you’re away, and treat your pets like they are my own. Please don’t hesitate to provide me with any and all detailed requests for your furry friends! My full-time job as a registered nurse means my schedule changes weekly. I have a lot of flexibility, and can usually accommodate irregular schedules. Feel free to message me and work out plan that best fits you and your pets’ needs. I’m more than happy to be accommodating to your special requests - don’t be afraid to ask! I’m patient and willing to take the extra time to work with slower senior pets as well as rambunctious young pets that may need a little more direction.
About: We took care of our beloved dog for all 12 years of her life. Our house is fully equipped to give your dog a comfortable stay, including a fenced in back yard. And our kids will make sure your dog is entertained and well-loved. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, my husband and I are both gone at work from 7:30am-5pm. So ideally, your dog would be comfortable being alone for an extended period of time if they are with us on those days. All the other days of the week, someone will be home. We have a large house, designated pet area within the home, and a fenced in backyard. We have all the basic amenities to make your dog stay easy on you and comfortable for your dog. We have no other pets currently in the home, but we do have three kids ranging from 3-12 who are comfortable around dogs and have learned how to appropriately play with them.

About: I grew up taking every opportunity I could to care for and spend time with my neighbors' dogs and had a family dog for 6 years. I have experience with administering oral and topical medications, as well as with treating minor wounds and infections. I also volunteer regularly at the Humane Society which has given me extra experience with dogs with trauma or disabilities, and senior or unsocialized dogs. I'm currently only working in-person during the evenings Monday-Thursday. Other than that I'm mostly working from home and have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. I unfortunately don't have a yard or lots of room in my apartment but I live only a short walk from a dog park, which I'd be able to visit regularly. I mostly work from home so I'm able to give frequent walks and snuggles!

About: I’ve always had a special fondness for animals ; my first word as a baby was “Maggie” , which is the name of our golden retriever who would live to be 17 years old. Guided by buddhist philosophy, my love for fuzzy mammals has expanded outward to include all living things & has to approach even the most difficult situations gently & with empathy. In the years preceding my “Eureka!” Moment of wanting to become a trainer, i worked as a walker & sitter for 3 years in NYC at a place called brooklyn bow wow and later worked for a trainer named Daniel Nogueira for another 2 years. Periodically we would have workshops with Mark Bennett (CPDT-KA) which informed my ability to improve leash behaviors & develop a behavioral modification strategy of positive reinforcement (most domesticated dogs do not respond well to negative feedback ; they don’t understand why they are being yelled at! 🥹) Eventually I had to eschew the dream job to take on a better-paying gig to pay my astronomical rent, which sucked, so my instincts all led me back to the midwest to continue pursuing my goal of becoming a certified trainer. I have all of the availabilty currently! I do freelance work & make my own schedule, so i’m plenty flexible & available to spend quality time with furry friends. I very much enjoy using the excuse to get outside & get some exercise. I have a big wide open loft space for moderate zooming & places for beds & toys. I can divide the place into 4 different rooms in case they get too worked up and need some separate time away from eachother

About: I have been watching dogs and cats since I was 15. I am use to all types of dogs and cats, from crazy hyper to very chill and relaxed! I am currently a full time student at Wayne State University! I am free anytime between classes or after i’m done with my classes for the day! About: I've taken care of both cats and dogs for my entire life. From elderly beagles to pitbulls with no concept of their own size, I love them all! I'm experienced with special needs pets, having personally taken care of pets who are blind and deaf; who have FIV, FeLV and CKD; and who are missing teeth and tail. I am familiar with giving meds orally (both pill and syringe form), taking care of sick pets, and monitoring symptoms. You know what your pet needs, and I always make sure quality care is given in your absence! Please note I will likely use my own handless leash for safety purposes. I am comfortable working with reactive dogs and dogs with prey drives. However, it is crucial that you inform me of any behavior issues beforehand. Owners who are not upfront with behavior issues risk being dropped as clients. If booking times are flexible, please let me know. This helps me book you faster and allows us to start conversations about your pet's needs earlier. Please only book with me when you know what days and times I am needed. Open requests block times in my calendar, so booking in a timely manner is very important. If you would prefer to boom after the meet & greet, that is absolutely okay! Please just let me know upon scheduling the meet and greet. I am currently available mornings, and nights M-F and all day weekends. I typically visit 7-7:45am on weekday mornings and 4-7pm weekday nights. I make visits all day on weekends. I am happy to accommodate specific medication schedules upon request. Starting June 15th, I will be available 7am-9pm all seven days of the week. Starting June 15th, I will be opening slots for clients who wish for their dogs to join me on hikes or long walks (3+ hours) at dog-friendly hiking spots in Michigan. Owners will be charged the housesitting rate, and will be expected to prepare treats, meals, and water for their dogs. If you are interested in reserving a spot or speaking about specifics, please book an overnight stay so we can chat. I aim to respect your home and leave it cleaner than I found it! I'm happy to clean pet bowls, vacuum pet beds, etc. If possible, please provide the name of your home internet and password. This saves time when I am sending you cards, questions, or other updates! For housesitting clients, I aim to send two updates minimum during the morning and afternoon/early evening. If you would prefer to have more or less updates, please let me know!
About: I had a dog aggressive dog for six years and it was always hard to find a sitter. We want to make sure other people can find a place for their dog where they will be comfortable and the owners can enjoy their time away without worry. We are home starting Thursday evening and would be available to take care of your doggie so it will feel comfortable. We can take your dog on walks and because we have the weekend off we can spend as much time as needed to make your pet feel loved. Together we have experience walking a dog reactive dog in the UP and Detroit where anything could happen at a moments notice. We understand how important it is to avoid triggers, and what to do to help you dog when it's unavoidable. We also have experience with old dogs who need medicine and low impact play time as well as anxious dogs who aren't sure what's going on.
