“First time booking with Angela and it won’t be our last! She was incredibly kind and considerate when taking on Wade. The meet & greet went great and the stay was even better. It’s clear she cares about animals and their needs. Wade had a great time! Great communication throughout his stay and very accommodating! Highly recommend.”

“I was nervous because this was the first time I'd left Picasso with someone he didn't know. Ekow was extremely kind and sent updates of a happy dog daily, which made me feel much better. We've found a new sitter and I will definitely be reaching out anytime we need a sitter. Five stars!!”

“Great overall! She communicates (sometimes a bit often), but you can tell it’s in her caring nature. She was able to go to rescue my baby after a Rover sitter left him home alone while I was out of town due to an “emergency”. Beverly was there step by step and I wouldn’t know what I would’ve done without her stepping in to get a ride to my place, pack him and his things, and take him in for boarding. She sent me pics and videos to ensure he was well taken care of. I would book with her again!”

“So happy I booked with Kayla to sit my pup while I was on vacation. She kept my mind at ease with all the pictures and the updates. I felt confident she would treat my dog right. I definitely plan on booking with her again in the near future.”

“Very communicative with daily check-in and lots of pictures and videos. Also went above and beyond by allowing me to pick up my dog later than Rover allows due to a flight delay. She is my go to boarding person.”

“Lisa and family did a great job looking after Bailey. Communication was great, especially with a last minute booking. They treated Bailey like one of their own pets. I would repeat again.”

“Jessica was super easy to work with, accommodating and her energy is 10/10. We have a big rescue puppy who did so well with Jessica, and we think was sad to leave her. Will definitely use again in the future.”

“Steven was a great sitter. I was a little nervous at first but Steven sent daily pictures and videos, I was able to see Raven become more relaxed and comfortable each day. I was very satisfied and would definitely book Steven again and recommend him to others.”

“Theresa and Adrian are THE BEST!!! My Mother and I were having a difficult time finding someone to care for our family pet dog Moses, due to people's schedule. We needed someone we could trust to care for Moses while we traveled to a family reunion. I had an excellent experience with Theresa and Adrian caring for my dog. They did an outstanding job ensuring my pet was well taken care of, comfortable, and happy. They were very attentive, responsive, and showed genuine care and affection. My dog seemed relaxed and content, which is the biggest compliment I could give. I highly recommend Theresa and Adrian for anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate caregiver for their furry friend! Thank you so very much! Vito Viviano The Prince 👑🍾⚘️”

“Pallavi was super amazing with my Faith. She followed all my instructions and always reached out to me if she needed any clarification or simple sending me updates. I definitely recommend her and Faith will definitely be going back, as long as she is available. Thanks again”

“Rafael and his partner took fantastic care of my senior dog, who was still recovering from recent surgery. They were incredibly attentive, providing daily updates and photos that gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. They’re a super communicative and genuinely kind couple — I could tell Mistral was in great hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again. Highly recommended!”

“We are so thankful to Erika and her family for looking after our Dexter so well! We got daily updates and pictures of all the fun he was having. Erika did an amazing job administering his medicine. It was such a relief to have Dexter in such good hands. Thank you so much!”

“Oliver had an amazing time with Whitley and her pup Ollie! They were so cute together, playing and having fun. I was nervous as this was the first time Oliver stayed with someone he didn’t know and Whitley made him feel comfortable and happy. Thank you!”

“Kayla was great with my geriatric dog! The time my pup spent with her did her good, she came back with so much life, and energy, like she went on a relaxing vacation! I'm very grateful for the attentive care she provided to my fur baby.”
“Lasya was wonderful. She was able to accommodate our blind senior pup on short notice and took excellent care of him. He was very much at home in her home, and we were sent daily updates and photos of our dog as he settled in. She was very responsive before and during our dog's stay with her, and she was more than happy to accommodate the modifications in care needed for our dog. She treated him like he was her own puip for the weekend, and we would happily trust Lasya with his care again in the future.”

“Our older dog loves staying with Evelyn! She makes sure he is comfortable and spoiled while he is with her. She always sends pictures and videos so we know he happy while we are away. Highly Recommend!”

“Thank you for takes such amazing care of Lefty. The stay was fulled with lots of love, kindness and personnal attention. Received wonderful viedo messages updates.”

“Amazing cat sitter. Super reliable, communicative, and clearly cared so much about my cats. I felt completely at ease while away knowing they were in good hands. My cats warmed up to them quickly, and everything was clean and well taken care of when I got back. Would absolutely book again.”

“Sydney did a great job watching my senior cat Jack. He mainly needs attention, and she spent the full 30-minute session after basic needs were taken care of giving him cuddles and spending time with him. I came back to find everything in order and a happy cat. I would absolutely book her again and recommend her!”

“Jeanette is not only a thoughtful, careful, reliable pet sitter — as a bonus, she also took amazing and funny photos of our cat and left him with all sorts of toys and extra entertainment because we were gone for such a long stretch. She really goes the extra mile. Highly recommend!”

“Mya is very attentive, communicates well, and is conscious of any particular requests you may have or necessitate in the care of your pet member. Monkey was in good hands and well cared for. Thanks again!”

“Tara was absolutely wonderful! She was incredibly friendly, communicative, and so flexible when my return plans changed—I really appreciated how accommodating she was. Rosie clearly bonded with her right away and loved the walks, attention, and care Tara gave her. It gave me such peace of mind knowing Rosie was in such good hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Tara again—she’ll definitely be one of the first people I reach out to for future care!”

“Great communication and care for my sweet and needy cat, Girl. I appreciated Lukis really getting to know Girl’s quirks and personality and caring for her on a personal level. I came home to a clean home and happy cat :) thank you”

“Randi was fantastic checking in on our two cats while we were away! She was very thorough and thoughtful and ensured that our place was locked up upon leaving as well. Thank you Randi!”

“Lauren was absolutely wonderful with our timid kitty. She took wonderful pictures everyday and took the time to pet and cuddle our kitty. They really bonded very quickly and I know it's because Lauren is phenomenal. Highly recommend!”

“JJ was incredibly responsive, super attentive, and just so great with our girl Ivory. I can’t wait to have JJ come back and spend more time with our little ones.”

About: (New Account) Hi there I’m Julianna and I have 20+ years of animal care experience under my belt! I grew up in a unique situation with over 15+ animals in my house at a given time as my mother was an animal fosterer and relocator. This allowed me to amass a lifelong experience of taking care of animals of all different sizes, temperaments, and health conditions. I have worked with a wide range of animals including exotic pets, farm animals, and rescues. I have a deep understanding in animal behavior which allows me to carefully tailor your furry babies individual needs. I am skilled in daily feedings(live too), light grooming, administering medications all while creating an environment that feels safe and healthy. Life can get busy. Understandably you wanted to provide immediate care for your beloved pet but your schedule might not allow for immediate flexibility. That’s why I also have extended transportation skills. I can assist with transportation to and from your veterinary clinic, groomers, or airport. I work from home so I am able to be extremely accommodating to your pets needs. I have plenty of time for long walks and belly rubs. I am also able to assist in veterinary visit if your schedule doesn’t allow. I tailor each routine to your pet and am more than happy to accommodate any special request. I live in a walk up apartment and am able to carry up/down anyone who needs assistance. I have gated dog coral as well fenced in backyard.
“Tara took great care of our dog Marvin—this was the second time they’ve watched him, and both experiences have been excellent. They were responsive, reliable, and clearly have a natural way with animals. Marvin was happy and relaxed when we picked him up and excited to return for his second stay, which says a lot. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Tara again and highly recommend them as a sitter.”

He’s 15 pounds and very playful and friendly with other dogs ◡̈ I currently work from home with flexible hours so I have plenty of time to spare. My daily routine allows me to manage being available and home to take care of the pups I provide a safe, calm, and dependable environment where pets feel completely secure. I prioritize consistency, gentle handling, and close attention to each pet’s needs, creating a trustworthy space where they can relax, feel understood, and thrive while you’re away.

About: Hi, my name is Brandon and I am a first year Masters student studying Biomedical Engineering. Animals have been a part of my life since my earliest memories. I've raised birds, turtles, snakes, iguanas, hamsters, cats and of course dogs. Whether your pup needs hours of fetch and park adventures or gentle walks and medication management, I adapt to their unique needs, diets, and energy level. I work from home and between myself and my girlfriend, it is rare for me to leave my pet alone for more than 1 hr. I have easy access to numerous parks within walking distance including Belle Isle. Your pet will not be starved for attention. My goal is to make your dog’s time with me feel like a happy stay-cation. Expect daily walks, individualized attention, plenty of rest when needed, and regular photo updates so you can relax knowing they’re in good hands With years of experience across all breeds and temperaments, I understand the trust it takes to leave your pet with someone new. I'm here to make that experience stress-free for both you and your dog, providing the reliable, communicative, and loving care they deserve. I welcome questions, meet-and-greets, and will always aim to make you and your pet feel comfortable and confident. Working from home affords me the time and flexibility to give my high maintenance corgi the attention she deserves. She’s rarely alone for more than one hour at a time. The first and most important step in caring for a new dog is to establish trust. As an experienced caregiver, I've learned that patience and compassion form the foundation of developing that all-important bond. Sixx is a great help in this endeavor as she is a very friendly dog and loves making new playmates. My place is fitted with webcams so you can check in on your pet and let them hear your voice. If your dog is crate-trained and finds it easier to adapt to a new environment through this method, I have one that can accommodate most sizes.
“Karen was a great help with Luna when I unexpectedly had to leave the dog home alone for a VERY long day. She came over to give her cuddle and pee breaks and a trip to Barkside, Luna’s home away from home. 💕 Even went the extra mile to clean up a little dog mess. Thanks!!!!!”

“Pallavi was fantastic! She took great care of our puppy. She understood the needs of the puppy by discussing the requirements ahead of time, clearly explained the plan on how she plans to handle the puppy and provided regular updates on the status. “Jessica was amazing with our new puppy! She was able to accommodate us on short notice, which we really appreciated. She walked him, fed him, played with him, and even introduced him to other little puppies so he could socialize. She greeted me warmly and treated both of us with such kindness. Our pup came home happy and tired from all the fun. We will definitely be coming back!”

“I had a regular walker cancel for a life interruption last minute on my midterm test day and Lukis was wonderful. It was as if they were Kronk’s caretaker for months. He was happy and I had no worries about him while I was testing. I would definitely go to them again for any caretaking needs in the future.”

“Callie did a fantastic job taking my dog out for walks this week! She is friendly and easy to communicate with, engaging and caring toward my pup, and I would absolutely reach out to her again for pet care.”

About: I am trained in Dog Behavior and Management from my previous job at Camp Bow Wow. I’m bubbly, kind, and patient with humans and dogs. I recently moved away from home where my family dog lives. Availability 24/7 for walks.
About: What sets me apart is my calm, patient approach and genuine love for animals of all temperaments. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine as I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to each pet’s needs. I am able to plan walks, feeding visits, and playtime consistently throughout the day, including mornings and afternoons. This allows me to give pets reliable attention, follow their routines closely, and provide calm, unhurried care without time pressure or distractions. When caring for pets in clients’ homes, I prioritize safety, trust, and respect for the environment at all times. I follow each owner’s instructions carefully, ensuring pets remain secure, comfortable, and on their normal routine. I maintain a calm, attentive presence so animals feel safe and relaxed. About: *We currently have one foster cat Hello there, My name is Karen / but not 'a Karen,' I swear. I volunteer walking dogs at the local shelter so am comfortable with pretty much all pets (but we do live in an apartment so please see bottom section for ones we cannot care for). We have fostered everything from energetic puppies to FIV+ cats, couch potatoes to zoomie kings-and-queens. Seniors and animals who need lots of affection are our specialties! We have one dog. She is 7 lbs, 14 years old, blind, and stays in a bedroom sleeping for the most part. Fosters come and go and will be noted on the top line if current residing. I am not regularly working because of some health issues, so there is a ton of flexibility in my schedule and in our home. If I'm not around, my boyfriend Dave usually is: sometimes he might be the one caring for and walking your pet, or meeting up with you for pick up/drop off. Once in a while, I work 8 hour shifts on weekends, but he is home during that. After doing Rover for a few months, we realized that Dave ends up doing quite a bit! Please know that even though you'll mostly be messaging me through the app, he will play a very big part in the pet-sitting. Between the two of us, your pet will not be alone much at all while boarding. We also have lots of toys, beds, a crate, and snacks, so all you’ll have to bring is food. To me, there is no point in having a pet unless you're going to spoil them. I will do everything possible to make sure your loved one isn't missing you too much. There are a few pets we’re unable to take. Our apartment can be noisy with people outside, neighbors coming in and out, etc…If your dog is nervous and fearful, those noises can exacerbate that in an already strange situation/new place for them. We also want to be respectful of our neighbors so cannot take loud, constant barking. A normal amount is expected : ) Because we have so many furry friends coming and going, we now require vaccination records and proof of purchase for flea meds before your first visit. I typically do photos and updates once in the evening around 7:00 or 8:00 but can do more or less if you’d like! I tend to be a yapper so try to limit myself to just once haha Generally, I just am very loving to all creatures. I volunteer a lot and am used to many, many kinds of animals. I live in a loft, so that can be confusing sometimes for dogs who are used to going potty in a yard (leashed potty break on a city street and puppy pads are what typically do here), but there is plenty of space to run around in the loft because it is one open space, so playtime is not an issue.
About: Why Pet Parents Choose Me 🐾Trusted by repeat local clients - References available. 🐾Known for being reliable, caring, and communicative. 🐾Certificate in Cat and Dog First Aid (American Red Cross) 🐾5 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant 🐾Fostering experience, including raising bottle-fed kittens and fostering a DACC rescue dog who was once on death row - who now has the happiest forever home! Hi, I’m Monica DeSpain— a lifelong animal lover, experienced pet sitter, and proud pet mom to one sweet senior dog and three quirky cats. I’ve been caring for animals for over 20 years, and I truly love what I do. My background includes 5 years working at two veterinary hospitals as a veterinary assistant, volunteering at the animal shelter, and fostering pets in my home. These experiences gave me a strong foundation in animal care long before I officially started offering pet sitting. Since August 2024, I’ve been providing trusted, compassionate pet sitting services to families in the Grosse Pointe area. I also currently run a small online business from home, which gives me the flexibility to offer weekday and weekend visits, dog walking, and personalized drop-in care. I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your pets — not just for feeding and potty breaks, but for love, attention, and consistency. Every animal has their own personality, routine, and comfort level — and I meet them where they’re at. Whether it’s energetic play, gentle senior care, medication routines, or just being a calm presence, I tailor every visit to your pet’s unique needs. My schedule is flexible and I do my best to accommodate yours. Let’s work together to plan for your pets needs. I should be able to accommodate most schedules. I will care for your pet with the same loving, caring and kindness that I have for my own pets. Most animals find me easy to be comfortable around.
About: CCS Grad Student based West Village. Grew up in a Shitzu home, but I only get to see her on weekends. However, I've been taking care of small dogs and pet-sitting dogs and cats for fam/friends for the last 4 years. I'm a full-time grad student, so aside from evening or afternoon classes, I'm flexible. Morning and/or Evening walking + feeding schedules are no issue. I’m a morning person! I've cared for pets in my own home or their own, and my primary focus is always making sure they are comfortable. Usually, that means trying my best to follow their normal routines.
About: I have a tendency to treat all animals as my own, and give them the utmost love and care. Not only do animals benefit from my care, but what I get back in return from animals is just as important. I grew up constantly being around pets, and grew up with dogs. I raised two dogs on my own and they now live with my parents so I currently have no pets, which has left a little hole in my heart! I have a loving home on the third floor of apartment building, where there is much room to play and lounge. I have a fenced-in backyard where there is even more room for fun. There are many areas we can go for walks, and also a dog park just down the street. I am also working from home so have a lot of time to devote to dogs.
About: I have grown up always having a houseful of animals. This included cats and dogs as well as small rodents (mice, hamster, ect) and livestock. Now I have two dogs, two cats, and a hedgehog. I have owned my dogs for 13 years and the cats became part of the family a couple of years ago. My experience with animals ranges from daily care needs to caring for an animal with other needs. I am also patient with animals that are still learning or have slight behavioral issues. Currently, I am a full time student completing my degree online. I have open avalibility for your pet care needs. I am even open to a "daycare" situation. I have two dogs and two cats at my own home. The cats have their own space if needed and my dogs would love to have a friend to play with. I also have plenty of room to give any animal alone space if needed. I have a fenced yard and live walking distance to a park. I am open to board your furbabies while you are at work during the day or overnight if needed. If you prefer your babies stay at home I can offer potty breaks and walks during the day. I understand the struggle of finding good care for furbabies when you have a demanding schedule! I am open to services that work for you!

If you're looking for a dog walker or someone to stay with your pup(s) while you're away, I'm your gal! More than happy to provide references as well. :)
About: I have helped take care of my family dog for the last 10 years. I now live away from home and I am missing my time with my dog! I enjoy walking and bathing dogs. My family dog has a very strict eating and medicine routine, so I am used to being meticulous about pet care. I am a medical student at Wayne State University, however, I have some flexibility in my schedule. I am available consistently in the evenings, but with enough notice, I can make other times work during the day. I will make sure to follow any instructions on not only direct pet care, but if you need me to shut doors, keep lights on, etc. to make sure your dog is as safe and comfortable in your home as possible:)
About: I come from a long line of dog lovers and was taught from a young age how to be both caring and firm with furbabies. I have a very flexible schedule and have plenty of time to dote on your furbaby. With some advance notice we can craft a perfect play date. I treat my furbaby clients like family. Lots of attention and care. Other than a happy dog, you’ll never know I was in your home.
About: Hi there! I've had pets of all kinds my entire life, so I'm very comfortable with all sorts of animals. My mom and I began fostering dogs for a rescue when I was very young so I've also been handling big groups of dogs of all ages for most of my life. My mom runs a local dog rescue and offers training, so she's definitely honed my dog handling skills quite a bit. I love dogs of all sizes, especially big dogs! My own dog at home is not very energetic, so I would love to play with some more active dogs as well. My schedule can be pretty flexible and I'm often on-the-go. Please let me know if there's any special accommodations your pet needs. I'm looking forward to hearing from you! I currently work two part-time jobs with flexible schedules and relatively short shifts, so I'm able to care for pets easily around my daily schedule. I have experience with dogs with a wide variety of temperaments and needs, so I'm able to cater my approach to each individual pet. I'm big on respecting dogs' boundaries, especially in their own spaces, because my own dog is very shy.

“Oliver had an amazing time with Whitley and her pup Ollie! They were so cute together, playing and having fun. I was nervous as this was the first time Oliver stayed with someone he didn’t know and Whitley made him feel comfortable and happy. Thank you!”

“Queeny was so gentle and kind to our Albus. She shared pictures and videos of their time together and we were reassured that our fur baby was in safe hands. It was our first time away. Queeny is the best and definitely recommend!!”

“I had a great experience with Cody and would absolutely book with him again. Throughout my dog’s 6-night stay, I received updates and photos on days 1, 3, and 5, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. My dog can be pretty anxious, especially in new environments, but Cody handled him with patience and care. When I picked him up, I could clearly tell he had grown comfortable and even formed a bond with Cody, which says a lot. He was nervous at drop-off, but it was reassuring to see how much more relaxed and at ease he was by the end of his stay. Cody created a safe, welcoming environment and was easy to communicate with throughout the process. I really appreciated the attention given to my dog’s needs and overall well-being. Thank you again for taking good care of him—I’d definitely trust Cody with my pup in the future.”
“Emily, Jason & Larry were excellent hosts!! Upon my request for a sitter, they suggested a meet & greet between our dogs. They were welcoming and caring about insuring the dogs were compatible. We agreed on letting Nanook stay. They were very communicative about what our dog was up to, how he was getting along with Larry and they sent photos too. After the stay we were surprised to have received a thank you note and a personalized treat in our bag. That was such a sweet touch! We would definitely book with Emily & Jason again! Nanook enjoyed his stay with them and Larry!”

“Renee took absolutely outstanding care of our golden retriever, Charlie, while we were on vacation. From the moment we met her, we felt completely at ease knowing he was in such capable and compassionate hands. She treated Charlie like her own—making sure he was well-exercised, well-fed, and showered with attention and affection. Renee kept us updated with messages and photos, which meant the world to us while we were away. It was clear from Charlie’s happy demeanor when we returned that he had been loved and cared for every single day. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would wholeheartedly recommend Renee to anyone looking for truly exceptional pet care.”

“Elizabeth was great communicating and letting us know the status of our dog Chico. We were very please with her care and services. Looking forward to booking her again!”

About: I've taken care of both cats and dogs for my entire life. From elderly beagles to pitbulls with no concept of their own size, I love them all! I'm experienced with special needs pets, having personally taken care of pets who are blind and deaf; who have FIV, FeLV and CKD; and who are missing teeth and tail. I am familiar with giving meds orally (both pill and syringe form), taking care of sick pets, and monitoring symptoms. You know what your pet needs, and I always make sure quality care is given in your absence! Please note I will likely use my own handless leash for safety purposes. I am comfortable working with reactive dogs and dogs with prey drives. However, it is crucial that you inform me of any behavior issues beforehand. Owners who are not upfront with behavior issues risk being dropped as clients. If booking times are flexible, please let me know. This helps me book you faster and allows us to start conversations about your pet's needs earlier. Please only book with me when you know what days and times I am needed. Open requests block times in my calendar, so booking in a timely manner is very important. If you would prefer to boom after the meet & greet, that is absolutely okay! Please just let me know upon scheduling the meet and greet. I am currently available mornings, and nights M-F and all day weekends. I typically visit 7-7:45am on weekday mornings and 4-7pm weekday nights. I make visits all day on weekends. I am happy to accommodate specific medication schedules upon request. Starting June 15th, I will be available 7am-9pm all seven days of the week. Starting June 15th, I will be opening slots for clients who wish for their dogs to join me on hikes or long walks (3+ hours) at dog-friendly hiking spots in Michigan. Owners will be charged the housesitting rate, and will be expected to prepare treats, meals, and water for their dogs. If you are interested in reserving a spot or speaking about specifics, please book an overnight stay so we can chat. I aim to respect your home and leave it cleaner than I found it! I'm happy to clean pet bowls, vacuum pet beds, etc. If possible, please provide the name of your home internet and password. This saves time when I am sending you cards, questions, or other updates! For housesitting clients, I aim to send two updates minimum during the morning and afternoon/early evening. If you would prefer to have more or less updates, please let me know!
“My doggo Roscoe had a great time with Megan and her crew. She was very polite and professional and went out hunting for Roscoe when he opened the gate late at night! She loves dogs and knows how to handle them well.”
