About: I adopted my first cats 6 years ago, and have never looked back! I have 3 total now. I do also have dogs, and by having both I've recognized that both really do need care that is species specific. My own cats came to me as kittens, with one that is extremely shy. With her, I really learned how special it is when you put in the time and patience and gain the trust of a perfect little creature! Most people think that cats are independent and don't need much, and that couldn't be further from the truth. They are resilient, but need just as much love and affection as dogs. I also know they can hide any issues they have very well. I am very well versed in finding shy cats hiding spots (and catching them if needed for their safety). I also always have an eye out for cat-proofing and making sure there are no potential places they can get stuck or get out.

As long as I have at least 2-3 days before a booking I can switch things around to be with your pet. I typically work 4-8 hours and have small breaks where I can leave the school and check in with pets twice a day while I am working. If they need round the clock care, I can make that happen but as it interferes with my day job that would require further conversation as far as pricing. I play with animals, I’ll walk them, bathe them, give them medication if needed. I treat every pet I’m lucky enough to have placed in my care as my own. Anything you need or want for me to do for your four legged family member I would be more than happy to accommodate!

About: Hello pet-owners! I'm Blythe, lover of all things fluffy. I grew up with golden retrievers and owned a delightful hedgehog named Dwaeji as an adult. I have moved 12 times in the last 10 years (five of which I spent overseas), so I have been unable to own my own cat or dog, but I am a HUGE fan of borrowing other people's pets for some play time. I just purchased a house with a yard on the east side of Detroit (Morningside) that can accommodate dogs and cats alike. I am a long-time petsitter for friends and family and spent two years as a professional dog walker in Chicago. I am a student at Wayne Law and have flexible availability during the day. I am available for house sitting and happy to host dogs/cats in my house as well. Copper, Roo, Dottie, Lucy, Reese, Max, and Nugget are all prepared to provide references. (as are their moms and dads).
About: professionally, I have taken care of pets for the last 3 years, ranging from dogs to cats to birds to lizards, with care ranging from normal sittings to walks, to overnight work as well. Personally, I have taken care of pets my whole life, currently either six cats and a big dog (and a gecko). Dogs have always been drawn to me it seems, with all of them (save for one 😅) growing to love me in time. Let me add your pet to that list! I am as malleable as the client needs me to be. Obviously that can change around holidays sometimes, but generally I am super available and almost always by my phone if needed. I unfortunately cannot offer boardings as I have a dog and that would not be fair to her. However, when I do sittings, especially overnight ones, my goal is to leave the pet parent’s as close to how it looked when I got there.
