About: I adopted my first cats 6 years ago, and have never looked back! I have 3 total now. I do also have dogs, and by having both I've recognized that both really do need care that is species specific. My own cats came to me as kittens, with one that is extremely shy. With her, I really learned how special it is when you put in the time and patience and gain the trust of a perfect little creature! Most people think that cats are independent and don't need much, and that couldn't be further from the truth. They are resilient, but need just as much love and affection as dogs. I also know they can hide any issues they have very well. I am very well versed in finding shy cats hiding spots (and catching them if needed for their safety). I also always have an eye out for cat-proofing and making sure there are no potential places they can get stuck or get out.

About: professionally, I have taken care of pets for the last 3 years, ranging from dogs to cats to birds to lizards, with care ranging from normal sittings to walks, to overnight work as well. Personally, I have taken care of pets my whole life, currently either six cats and a big dog (and a gecko). Dogs have always been drawn to me it seems, with all of them (save for one 😅) growing to love me in time. Let me add your pet to that list! I am as malleable as the client needs me to be. Obviously that can change around holidays sometimes, but generally I am super available and almost always by my phone if needed. I unfortunately cannot offer boardings as I have a dog and that would not be fair to her. However, when I do sittings, especially overnight ones, my goal is to leave the pet parent’s as close to how it looked when I got there.

About: I've been lucky enough to wake up to a 4 legged friend by my side my entire life. I've been surrounded by animals of all shapes and sizes including cats, golden retrievers, malamutes - I've found my love for them to grow increasingly with each interaction. From being a child where it was enough to simply love dogs to becoming a responsible adult recognizing the intricate needs of all, I am more than happy to provide the detailed love and care your beloved pet needs. About: Hello pet-owners! I'm Blythe, lover of all things fluffy. I grew up with golden retrievers and owned a delightful hedgehog named Dwaeji as an adult. I have moved 12 times in the last 10 years (five of which I spent overseas), so I have been unable to own my own cat or dog, but I am a HUGE fan of borrowing other people's pets for some play time. I just purchased a house with a yard on the east side of Detroit (Morningside) that can accommodate dogs and cats alike. I am a long-time petsitter for friends and family and spent two years as a professional dog walker in Chicago. I am a student at Wayne Law and have flexible availability during the day. We agreed on letting Nanook stay. They were very communicative about what our dog was up to, how he was getting along with Larry and they sent photos too. After the stay we were surprised to have received a thank you note and a personalized treat in our bag. That was such a sweet touch! We would definitely book with Emily & Jason again! “Our dog is extremely shy and fearful of nearly everything and every one. So were were nervous about taking him to a dog sitter after years of him being watched regularly by a friend. We should not have been nervous. Breanna took wonderful care of our dog, and he came home happy and healthy — and healthy is a big deal because new situations sometimes make him so nervous that his digestive system gets disrupted upon coming home. That did not happen. Breanna sent us regular updates and pictures of our boy, and was extremely flexible with a couple small changes to our plan. I highly recommend her, and would definitely book with her again.”
