About: I've been lucky enough to wake up to a 4 legged friend by my side my entire life. I've been surrounded by animals of all shapes and sizes including cats, golden retrievers, malamutes - I've found my love for them to grow increasingly with each interaction. From being a child where it was enough to simply love dogs to becoming a responsible adult recognizing the intricate needs of all, I am more than happy to provide the detailed love and care your beloved pet needs. About: Hi, I’m Charlotte — Monica’s right-paw pup and biggest fan. 🐾 My mom’s been loving on animals for over 20 years. She’s basically the fairy dogmother (and cat whisperer too). Whether it’s belly rubs, snack time, or special care for seniors like me, she does it all with heart and treats. She used to work at an animal hospital (don’t worry, she’s not scary like the vet!) and even took care of a very talkative bird once. Monica’s also helped at shelters, fostered pets in our home and had been pet sitting in the neighborhood for a year now. So yeah—she knows her stuff. Right now, she’s a proud pet mom to me (the sweet senior pup) and three cat siblings who I mostly get along with. About: professionally, I have taken care of pets for the last 3 years, ranging from dogs to cats to birds to lizards, with care ranging from normal sittings to walks, to overnight work as well. Personally, I have taken care of pets my whole life, currently either six cats and a big dog (and a gecko). I have moved 12 times in the last 10 years (five of which I spent overseas), so I have been unable to own my own cat or dog, but I am a HUGE fan of borrowing other people's pets for some play time. I just purchased a house with a yard on the east side of Detroit (Morningside) that can accommodate dogs and cats alike. After a situation with neighbors, I was forced to take the dog to an animal shelter. My second dog was a mixture of Dalmatian and Pit Bull (a male I named Duke). After several years with the dog, he contracted an ailment, and I was unable to afford the proper treatment. About my yard My backyard is in the process of being renovated. It currently does not have a full fenced-in backyard. My experience administering medication I am quite comfortable administering medication, as long as the owner gives specifics as to how the medication is to be taken (time included) I'm currently in between jobs as I do freelance work. Most of my assignments I work from home, which gives me plenty of time to care for myself and others when needed. About: I've had plenty of dogs and raise them to by family dogs. I'm good at getting dogs to listen. Love playing and running around with them.
