About: Hi! I’m Paris — a substitute teacher, lifelong pet lover, and proud cat mom of two playful kittens, Lilith & Zephyr 🐾 Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I treat every pet I care for as if they’re my own. Whether it’s a dog who loves long walks, a cat who just wants cuddles, or a nervous pet who needs extra patience, I tailor care to each animal’s personality and comfort level. My clients describe me as attentive, communicative, and trustworthy — I provide photo updates, detailed messages, and genuinely enjoy spending time with every pet I meet. You’ll never have to wonder how your furry friend is doing while you’re away! 💼 My Schedule As a substitute teacher, I create my own schedule — which means I can adjust my availability for pet care. I typically work 4–8 hour school shifts with breaks that allow me to check in, walk, or drop in on pets during the day. Need round-the-clock or overnight care? I can absolutely provide that — I just ask for notice in advance, as 24-hour care may require adjusted pricing 💰 Rates & Expectations Rover’s listed prices reflect my base rates for standard care. Rates may adjust slightly depending on: • The number of pets • Travel distance • After-hours or weekend bookings • Medication or special-needs care • Holiday or extended-stay requests All rates are before Rover’s 20% platform fee. My goal is to ensure top-tier, stress-free care that’s priced fairly for both of us. 💬 Why Choose Me I know how important it is to trust the person watching your pets. My goal is to create peace of mind while making sure your pets are loved, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. Each booking is personalized — whether that means an extra bedtime cuddle, a longer evening walk, or slow introductions for shy pets. ❤️ Let’s Connect If you’re looking for reliable, flexible, and genuine care, I’d love to chat! Send me a message with your pet’s routine, quirks, or favorite toys — I’m happy to customize care around their needs. I work as a substitute teacher and I make my own schedule. As long as I have at least 2-3 days before a booking I can switch things around to be with your pet. I typically work 4-8 hours and have small breaks where I can leave the school and check in with pets twice a day while I am working. If they need round the clock care, I can make that happen but as it interferes with my day job that would require further conversation as far as pricing. I play with animals, I’ll walk them, bathe them, give them medication if needed. I treat every pet I’m lucky enough to have placed in my care as my own. Anything you need or want for me to do for your four legged family member I would be more than happy to accommodate!

Tara has been amazing with my eight-month-old puppy, Rosie! On the days I have a 90+ minute commute, I know Rosie is in great hands. Tara makes sure she’s walked, played with, and has everything she needs, including food and water. She’s incredibly communicative, reliable, and someone I trust completely. Tara continues to be my go-to for pup care, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional care for their pet!

Jessica is fabulous! I’m kind of a “crazy dog mom” but knowing my dog, Foss, is in Jessica’s care puts me at ease during the day. She sends me lots of pictures on her visits and, most importantly, I can tell she truly loves Foss and all animals and Foss loves/adores her just as much. Thank you, Jessica!

About: I got my first pets at 21, two mice named Luna and Lena. Since then I've had many more pets including more mice, rats, dogs, and a cat. I have had my dogs for about 7 years. My baby girl Remy, is a wild ball of energy, even at 9. My darling boy Leonard, is a very slow gentle giant who moves like a sloth, so I have experience with dogs across the energy spectrum! My fluffy baby Bean is my first cat. I have learned a lot from him over the last 4 years that Ive had him. He is a cuddly kitty who shows love through playful violence. I say this to explain that I am so used to being torn up a bit by my pets. I understand that pets do not know their strength or sharpness and I will give them the grace needed! My pets are the center of my life. I wake up and immediately refill food and waters and let my dogs outside. While they do their business, I cuddle Bean, my cat. Sadly, after I let my dogs in I have to head out to work. When I get home from work, I always run to get kisses from my dogs. Then I do the same as the morning, check food and water and let them outside. Because my cat and one of my dogs dont get along, I often have to split my time between them but I make sure everyone gets all their cuddles and love. I also dedicate at least 10 minutes twice a day, playing with each of them. I am unable to host others pets at my house as we are full up, but I always treat others homes and pets with the utmost respect. I try my best not to touch anthing that isn't needed and leave the home looking the same or better than when I got there.

About: I've owned/fostered/rescued animals my whole life, and I'm an avid animal lover. I run a rescue program with my friend and community members, and am very skilled with medical monitoring and behavior reading. I have experience working with special needs and elderly animals. I've administered oral medication and eye drops, changed doggy diapers, and bottle fed babies. I also have experience working with aggressive and territorial animals, I maintain a gentle and patient energy and work hard to create a secure relationship with each pet. I don't mind cleaning, I love super active animals, and I'm confident and reliable in caretaking. I work independently as an artist and curator, so I make my own schedule, so I always have plenty of time for your fur baby. I am unable to watch pets at my own place, as I am constantly fostering and have my own cats. I've been a trusted house/pet/baby sitter for 10 years, and will take great care of your space.

About: Since I was in my teens I have lived a life with pets - both dogs and cats, and it has been such a rewarding journey so far! I have had two rescue dogs, a collie mix and a beagle, and they had my whole heart. I currently have a multi-cat household, and do TNR in my neighborhood where I can to help the outdoor stray cats. I have also rehomed multiple cats with the help of local rescue groups to ensure a long happy kitty life. Currently, I spend a great deal of time with my best buddy Rocco, an 8 year old black lab. I have experience with small dogs, medium sized dogs and large dogs and honestly enjoy them all the same! I also have experience with cats of all ages, from bottle feeding kittens to 18 year old seniors, and am comfortable giving any medications to dogs or cats as well. I know my way around all kinds of personalities and ages, whether it be those that want to play or those that need a slow, gentle walk and some extra attention. I have also been working with the same vet for 20+ years that can attest to my care and love for animals. I will treat every pet like my own - patient, attentive, and genuinely happy to spend time with them. Being around animals - that's my happy place. My hours at work have changed which allows me to be available Monday-Friday 11am-3pm. I'm available for walks, drops ins for potty breaks while you're at work, or to check on your kitties if you'll be gone longer than you'd like to be. Lots of time for playing with your furry family members! I would be happy to come to your home and treat it and your pets with respect and care. My personal cats are all fixed and up to date on shots, however I took in a stray girl last winter who is very scared of everything. I think it's best to let her rule the house and come to visit yours at your homes where they are most comfortable.

About: I am a dog lover who currently owns 3 dogs, a terrier mix, a standard poodle, and a Doberman. My husband and I love animals and have grown up around different types of pets, which is why dog sitting is a perfect fit for me. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover my entire life. I acquired my love for animals from my father. Since before I was born, he has always owned a dog. The first dog I remember having was a Husky named Brandon. We named him Brandon because of the dog on "Punky Brewster" and I must have been only around 4 years old! My experience administering medication I have experience administering medication to my own pets and others pets as well. I’m a stay at home mom, which means I’ll have plenty of time to spend with your pup(s). We love playing outdoors and our dogs are like family to us! I have a dog run (working on fencing our large yard) and three dogs of my own. We have room to crate train if needed, and keep kids and dogs separate should your pup not be kid friendly.

About: I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember. At just 10 years old, I started my own neighborhood dog-washing service because I genuinely enjoyed caring for them. Today, I share my life with my senior dog, Buddy, who has a calm temperament and gets along well with other dogs. I understand that every dog has unique needs, whether they’re playful puppies or relaxed seniors, and I’m committed to making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. As a dog owner myself, I know pets are family, and I understand how important it is to have complete peace of mind when someone else is caring for them. I’ll treat your dog like my own and keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you always know your furry family member is happy, safe, and well cared for. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, allowing me to provide plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship throughout the day. I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate walks, drop-in visits, daycare, boarding, and overnight stays. I believe in keeping pets on their normal routine as much as possible to help them feel comfortable, safe, and stress-free while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness will always be my top priorities. I live with my senior dog, Buddy, who has a calm temperament and gets along well with other dogs. I always take the time to learn each pet’s routine, feeding schedule, medications, and any special instructions so they receive personalized care. I provide a clean, loving, and supervised environment and will send regular updates, photos, and messages so you can have complete peace of mind while you’re away. I treat every pet as if they were my own family.

About: I am trained in Dog Behavior and Management from my previous job at Camp Bow Wow. I’m bubbly, kind, and patient with humans and dogs. I recently moved away from home where my family dog lives. But when I was home I did all feeding, bathing, walks, playing, and training. I have a fenced in backyard and friendly neighborhood dogs that love to play (if your pup is interested and comfortable). Sam took our dog, Jax, out for walks while we were out of town for a week. She is attentive and obviously an animal-lover. We got pictures and videos everyday while we were gone which is really nice when you're missing your pets. Personally, Sam is friendly and quick to respond if you have any questions. We will definitely be using her again.

About: Why Pet Parents Choose Me 🐾Trusted by repeat local clients - References available. 🐾Known for being reliable, caring, and communicative. 🐾Certificate in Cat and Dog First Aid (American Red Cross) 🐾5 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant 🐾Fostering experience, including raising bottle-fed kittens and fostering a DACC rescue dog who was once on death row - who now has the happiest forever home! Hi, I’m Monica DeSpain— a lifelong animal lover, experienced pet sitter, and proud pet mom to one sweet senior dog and three quirky cats. I’ve been caring for animals for over 20 years, and I truly love what I do. My background includes 5 years working at two veterinary hospitals as a veterinary assistant, volunteering at the animal shelter, and fostering pets in my home. These experiences gave me a strong foundation in animal care long before I officially started offering pet sitting. Since August 2024, I’ve been providing trusted, compassionate pet sitting services to families in the Grosse Pointe area. I also currently run a small online business from home, which gives me the flexibility to offer weekday and weekend visits, dog walking, and personalized drop-in care. I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your pets — not just for feeding and potty breaks, but for love, attention, and consistency. Every animal has their own personality, routine, and comfort level — and I meet them where they’re at. Whether it’s energetic play, gentle senior care, medication routines, or just being a calm presence, I tailor every visit to your pet’s unique needs. My schedule is flexible and I do my best to accommodate yours. Let’s work together to plan for your pets needs. I should be able to accommodate most schedules. I will care for your pet with the same loving, caring and kindness that I have for my own pets. Most animals find me easy to be comfortable around.

About: Growing up I have loved animals and wanted to have a career with animals. Rover is just one way I can do that! Growing up I had a multiple animals that were childhood pets that I’ve adored. I am the type of person that will stop a stranger just to say hello to their furry friends! I enjoy dog sitting and meeting so many unique breeds and animals that I can form a bond with the animal and the owners! I love the experiences and becoming someone trustworthy to have as a repeat client! I currently work 4pm-10pm a few days out of the week. I have a bachelors in human sciences. I myself have threes dog and a cat that are all rescues. They are my spoiled little fur babies that get tons of cuddles, kisses, bark box toys, cat scratchers, etc. They love sleeping on the bed with us under the covers, head on pillow Lol! Overall, pet care fits into my daily routine because I feed, walk, and play with my own animals all day and make sure they are loved on and taken care of just as I would do the same for your own! They have tons of toys that are played with, I let them lay in the bed with me or chill on the couch. I feed them every morning and water them frequently. I walk them every 30mins-1 hour. I will also play with them outside etc. they cuddle and get plenty of belly rubs and scratches while I’m near. I am the type of person who loves seeing your pets and will think about them all the time even if I only watched them once! I love bringing them toys and treats! The phrase I have never met a stranger resonates with me in human and animal aspect! I love meeting new people and animals are always a plus! Pet care is always my top priority. I chose to animal sit over my part time job. I want your pets to have the best care possible. If I ever have work I make sure it’s not longer than a few hours. I want your fur babies to always be attended to and taken care of. I have several pets in my own home that are mine. They are kennel trained and leash trained. I don’t keep my dogs locked up nor would I do that to your pets. I treat your pets like my own. I will give them cuddles and kisses and send you tons of pictures.
