I have spent my lives work caring for humans and animals in this way and will work hard to listen and care for your animals in the individual ways they deserve. I currently own my own mental health practice and work from home doing virtual client visits. I have a flexible schedule that can accommodate your individual needs. I am able bodied and can travel to you for animal care. I require an in person meeting ahead of caregiving services to establish trust with both you and the animals and to ensure it is a good fit. If overnights are required, I will need access to Internet in order to work from the home.

“I don't like leaving my dogs with other people. They both have reactivity issues, and sometimes over-stimulation can cause them to fight with each other. When the dogs and I met Alicyn, I was flustered and it was hard for me to articulate how they are both extremely easy dogs yet they can have very serious fights. Alicyn took it all in stride, and she wasn't worried at all. During the actual drop-in, everything went smoothly! She is an amazing caretaker and the dogs must have understood that, because she said they were perfect and she wants to see them again! I'm super comfortable leaving them with her, whether it's a drop-in or an extended stay.”

About: I got my first pets at 21, two mice named Luna and Lena. Since then I've had many more pets including more mice, rats, dogs, and a cat. I have had my dogs for about 7 years. My baby girl Remy, is a wild ball of energy, even at 9. My darling boy Leonard, is a very slow gentle giant who moves like a sloth, so I have experience with dogs across the energy spectrum! My fluffy baby Bean is my first cat. I have learned a lot from him over the last 4 years that Ive had him. He is a cuddly kitty who shows love through playful violence. I say this to explain that I am so used to being torn up a bit by my pets. I understand that pets do not know their strength or sharpness and I will give them the grace needed! My pets are the center of my life. I wake up and immediately refill food and waters and let my dogs outside. While they do their business, I cuddle Bean, my cat. Sadly, after I let my dogs in I have to head out to work. When I get home from work, I always run to get kisses from my dogs. Then I do the same as the morning, check food and water and let them outside. Because my cat and one of my dogs dont get along, I often have to split my time between them but I make sure everyone gets all their cuddles and love. I also dedicate at least 10 minutes twice a day, playing with each of them. I am unable to host others pets at my house as we are full up, but I always treat others homes and pets with the utmost respect. I try my best not to touch anthing that isn't needed and leave the home looking the same or better than when I got there.

Requirements & Policies: Proof of Vaccinations: All pets must be up to date and vaccinated by a licensed vet before moving forward with the booking process. Required vaccinations include: *Rabies *DHPP/DHLPP combo (includes Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo, Leptospirosis, and Parainfluenza) *Bordetella (Kennel Cough) *During summer months, pets must also be on a flea/tick preventative. Boarding Capacity: I am a low-capacity boarder, caring for no more than 4–5 dogs at a time. This ensures each pup receives individualized attention while maintaining a calm, stress-free environment. For the safety and happiness of all guests, it’s important that your dog is friendly and comfortable around other dogs. Meet & Greet: A meet and greet is required for all bookings. This allows me to get to know your pup, observe how they interact with my dog, and ensure I’m the right fit for their needs. All meet and greets take place at my home at no extra cost. Once your time is confirmed, I’ll provide the address on the day of the meeting. Behavioral Restrictions: I am unable to accommodate dogs with the following: *Excessive marking, barking, or whining *Severe separation anxiety *Females in heat *Escape artists *Destructive or aggressive behaviors (including resource guarding) *Dogs who are not house-trained *Dogs with aggression toward people, children, or other animals *Dogs with contagious illnesses, fleas, or parasites *Dogs who are extremely reactive to other dogs or strangers *Dogs who require extensive medical care or frequent medication administration beyond standard oral or topical treatments *Dogs with biting history or unpredictable behavior Please note: My puppy rate will be applied to any adult dog that exhibits any of the behaviors listed above if they were not disclosed prior to the start of boarding. Property Damage: Compensation will be requested from the pet owner for any destruction of the sitter’s property caused by the dog. Food & Supplies: Please bring enough food to last the entirety of your dog’s stay, considering possible flight delays, cancellations, or emergencies. Please provide detailed food instructions in case I need to purchase more. Pet parents are responsible for any additional food costs if needed. Booking Notice: I am unable to accept last-minute or same-day bookings, as all dogs require a meet and greet prior to their stay to ensure they are comfortable and a good fit. Pick-Ups & Drop-Offs: Pick-ups and drop-offs are typically between 7 AM and 10 PM. Any pickups after 10 PM will be scheduled for the following day. If you need a different time, just let me know—I’m happy to accommodate on a case-by-case basis whenever possible. Family Support: My husband also assists with the care of all dogs in our home. He treats every pup with the same compassion, love, and plenty of cuddles that I provide. He is usually present for meet and greets, so you’ll have the opportunity to meet him and see the care your dog will receive firsthand. Communication: I love keeping pet parents updated! I can provide photos, videos, and messages during your dog’s stay so you can see how much fun they’re having. I am excited to meet you and your pup! Some days I am fully at home, while others I am out in the field, but I am rarely away for more than 4–5 hours at a time. Please note: I am not able to accommodate pets that require constant, intensive care or supervision, as I want to ensure I can provide safe, high-quality attention to every dog in my care. About: Since I was in my teens I have lived a life with pets - both dogs and cats, and it has been such a rewarding journey so far! I have had two rescue dogs, a collie mix and a beagle, and they had my whole heart. I currently have a multi-cat household, and do TNR in my neighborhood where I can to help the outdoor stray cats. I have also rehomed multiple cats with the help of local rescue groups to ensure a long happy kitty life. Currently, I spend a great deal of time with my best buddy Rocco, an 8 year old black lab. I have experience with small dogs, medium sized dogs and large dogs and honestly enjoy them all the same! I also have experience with cats of all ages, from bottle feeding kittens to 18 year old seniors, and am comfortable giving any medications to dogs or cats as well. I know my way around all kinds of personalities and ages, whether it be those that want to play or those that need a slow, gentle walk and some extra attention. I have also been working with the same vet for 20+ years that can attest to my care and love for animals. I will treat every pet like my own - patient, attentive, and genuinely happy to spend time with them. Being around animals - that's my happy place. My hours at work have changed which allows me to be available Monday-Friday 11am-3pm. I'm available for walks, drops ins for potty breaks while you're at work, or to check on your kitties if you'll be gone longer than you'd like to be. Lots of time for playing with your furry family members! I would be happy to come to your home and treat it and your pets with respect and care. My personal cats are all fixed and up to date on shots, however I took in a stray girl last winter who is very scared of everything. I think it's best to let her rule the house and come to visit yours at your homes where they are most comfortable.
