BOARDING AT MY HOME: When boarding in my home, I provide a calm, structured, and low-stress environment by only accepting one guest dog at a time. This allows me to give each pet plenty of individual attention and supervision throughout the day. I have two friendly, well-socialized resident dogs who are used to having guests and do best with other well-mannered pups. I take time to carefully introduce everyone, and I require a meet-and-greet prior to first-time bookings to ensure everyone is a good fit. My home is pet-safe, clean, and set up with cozy resting areas, a large and securely fenced outdoor space, and plenty of enrichment opportunities like walks, playtime, and snuggles. I also follow the pet’s routine as closely as possible to make their stay feel familiar and reassuring. FOR DROP INS I aim to maintain your pet’s routine in their own environment, minimizing disruption and providing consistent care. I refresh water, follow feeding and medication instructions closely, and always leave your home secure and tidy. I also provide visit updates with photos so you can feel connected and at ease while you’re away. Building trust through consistent, compassionate care is what I do best. Whether your pet is staying with me or I’m visiting them, they’ll be treated like family.

Comfort & Care: Every dog in our care receives wonderful, personalized attention. We provide extra beds, bowls, feeding mats, blankets, and treats to make them feel right at home. Our large, fully fenced yard provides plenty of space for running, playing, and exploring safely. Pups also have full access to roam our home as they would their own, and we can provide separate feeding and sleeping areas to ensure each dog has their own safe, comfortable space. In addition to playtime and exercise, we love providing mental stimulation with toys, training reinforcement, and interactive activities to keep tails wagging. Requirements & Policies: Proof of Vaccinations: All pets must be up to date and vaccinated by a licensed vet before moving forward with the booking process. Required vaccinations include: *Rabies *DHPP/DHLPP combo (includes Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo, Leptospirosis, and Parainfluenza) *Bordetella (Kennel Cough) *During summer months, pets must also be on a flea/tick preventative. Boarding Capacity: I am a low-capacity boarder, caring for no more than 4–5 dogs at a time. This ensures each pup receives individualized attention while maintaining a calm, stress-free environment. For the safety and happiness of all guests, it’s important that your dog is friendly and comfortable around other dogs. Meet & Greet: A meet and greet is required for all bookings. This allows me to get to know your pup, observe how they interact with my dog, and ensure I’m the right fit for their needs. All meet and greets take place at my home at no extra cost. Once your time is confirmed, I’ll provide the address on the day of the meeting. Behavioral Restrictions: I am unable to accommodate dogs with the following: *Excessive marking, barking, or whining *Severe separation anxiety *Females in heat *Escape artists *Destructive or aggressive behaviors (including resource guarding) *Dogs who are not house-trained *Dogs with aggression toward people, children, or other animals *Dogs with contagious illnesses, fleas, or parasites *Dogs who are extremely reactive to other dogs or strangers *Dogs who require extensive medical care or frequent medication administration beyond standard oral or topical treatments *Dogs with biting history or unpredictable behavior Please note: My puppy rate will be applied to any adult dog that exhibits any of the behaviors listed above if they were not disclosed prior to the start of boarding. Property Damage: Compensation will be requested from the pet owner for any destruction of the sitter’s property caused by the dog. Food & Supplies: Please bring enough food to last the entirety of your dog’s stay, considering possible flight delays, cancellations, or emergencies. Please provide detailed food instructions in case I need to purchase more. Pet parents are responsible for any additional food costs if needed. Booking Notice: I am unable to accept last-minute or same-day bookings, as all dogs require a meet and greet prior to their stay to ensure they are comfortable and a good fit. Pick-Ups & Drop-Offs: Pick-ups and drop-offs are typically between 7 AM and 10 PM. Any pickups after 10 PM will be scheduled for the following day. If you need a different time, just let me know—I’m happy to accommodate on a case-by-case basis whenever possible. Family Support: My husband also assists with the care of all dogs in our home. He treats every pup with the same compassion, love, and plenty of cuddles that I provide. He is usually present for meet and greets, so you’ll have the opportunity to meet him and see the care your dog will receive firsthand. Communication: I love keeping pet parents updated! I can provide photos, videos, and messages during your dog’s stay so you can see how much fun they’re having. I am excited to meet you and your pup! I do have cameras set up throughout the home, so I can check in on and even talk to your dog throughout the day, providing reassurance and keeping an eye on their well-being. Please note: I am not able to accommodate pets that require constant, intensive care or supervision, as I want to ensure I can provide safe, high-quality attention to every dog in my care. I provide loving, personalized care for every dog in my home. They enjoy cuddles, walks, playtime in our large fenced yard, and full access to explore safely. I care for no more than 4–5 dogs at a time, and I use cameras to check in and interact with them throughout the day.

I have spent my lives work caring for humans and animals in this way and will work hard to listen and care for your animals in the individual ways they deserve. I currently own my own mental health practice and work from home doing virtual client visits. I have a flexible schedule that can accommodate your individual needs. I am able bodied and can travel to you for animal care. I require an in person meeting ahead of caregiving services to establish trust with both you and the animals and to ensure it is a good fit. If overnights are required, I will need access to Internet in order to work from the home.

I acquired my love for animals from my father. Since before I was born, he has always owned a dog. The first dog I remember having was a Husky named Brandon. We named him Brandon because of the dog on "Punky Brewster" and I must have been only around 4 years old! My experience administering medication I have experience administering medication to my own pets and others pets as well. I’m a stay at home mom, which means I’ll have plenty of time to spend with your pup(s). We love playing outdoors and our dogs are like family to us! I have a dog run (working on fencing our large yard) and three dogs of my own. We have room to crate train if needed, and keep kids and dogs separate should your pup not be kid friendly.

She provided plenty of communication and came over the day before my early-morning departure flight to meet with me, the dogs, and get to know them, my house, and the neighborhood, which was great. My son had been watching them for the past two years, so I hadn't needed anyone else. But he's going away to college, and I needed to find someone reliable and local, and I'll definitely use Kiera going forward!
