About: *It’s kitten season! We might have a foster litter in our back room, completely separate hallway with a closed door. If this concerns you, we can adapt and move them* Hello there, My name is Karen (but not 'a Karen,' I swear). I volunteer walking dogs at the local shelter. You never really know what you'll walk into when you go there, so I've learned to be pretty adaptable. I am comfortable with pretty much all pets (but we do live in an apartment so please see bottom section for ones we cannot care for). I also started fostering this year, everything from energetic puppies to FIV+ cats, couch potatoes to zoomie kings-and-queens. Our house is empty right now, and I am not regularly working because of some health issues, so there is a ton of flexibility in my schedule and in our home. I aim to be super accommodating! And I am home often, so your pet won’t be alone much at all. We also have lots of toys, beds, a crate, and snacks, so all you’ll have to bring is food. To me, there is no point in having a pet unless you're going to spoil them. I will do everything possible to make sure your loved one isn't missing you too much. Also, I'm new to this (officially...have tons of dogsitting experience that I can provide references for if needed), so my rates will be a little lower for a couple of months. I am happy to provide my socials if you'd like to see what kind of person I am : ) There are a few pets we’re unable to take. Our apartment can be noisy with people outside, neighbors coming in and out, etc…If your dog is nervous and fearful, those noises can exacerbate that in an already strange situation/new place for them. Please do not book if your dog *barks a lot* or gets nervous easily. We also cannot take two large dogs at the same time, as much as I would really love to! I prefer to do meet-and-greets at my place, too, for this reason…which isn’t a must, just a suggestion : ) I really look forward to hearing from you! My schedule is very open. My house does not have any pets in it right now. I’m totally ready to adapt to your pet’s needs! Generally, I just am very loving to all creatures. I volunteer a lot and am used to many, many kinds of animals. I live in an apartment, so that can be confusing sometimes for dogs who are used to going potty in a yard (leashed potty break and puppy pads are what typically do here), but there is plenty of space to run around in the loft, so playtime is not an issue. My boyfriend Dave and I live together. Occasionally, he might be the person to pick off/drop off instead of me.

About: I’ve been a groomers assistant and bather at a grooming shop and doggie daycare for a few years in past. I’ve been dog and house sitting for years and I have had a few dogs of my own. I get excited to see every dog and cat I meet, they really make my day. If you’re out of my walking radius and still would like me to care for your pets you can provide transportation fees then I’d be happy to accept the jobs if I’m available that are last minute when you can’t find someone else. This is my only job, caring for pets now. I have worked for over 30 years and I have found pet sitting to be the best retirement gig for my wellbeing. So I’m available quite a bit. I can walk dogs or do house visits for either cats or dogs. I can help with training if you have rules or something you’d like me to help with for your pets. I can also pick up an item you may need from premier pet shop.

“Breanna really cared about our elderly cat so he was well cared for. She administered his medication on time and accurately. I will definitely book her for future trips!”

About: Almost all of my experience as a dog owner and sitter is with dogs that have come from shelters or other adopted situations. I have owned “retired” greyhounds that were severely traumatized, I have cared for small dogs with unknown, but clearly extremely difficult, past traumas, and I have stayed and bonded with boxers and pit bulls who are slow to trust but then become bed-hogging cuddlers! Recently, I had my first experience helping train a puppy! I spent five months with a family and their sweet cavipoo house training and leash training. I teach from home and so I am always home! Well, except for the occasional errand, appointment, etc. So, I would love the extra company and the excuse to get out of the house and get some exercise! I live in an apartment building so I do not have a fenced yard. However, I live on Lafayette Park where I walk daily. It is incredibly safe and I have gotten to know many of the pet parents in the building and the neighborhood. I have two five month old kittens that I adopted from a foster home two months ago where they lived with a dog. I am hoping to keep them exposed to other animals so that when I have a larger place, I will be able to expand my family of pets.

About: I've had pets my entire life. from dogs, frogs, fish, to bunnies. my dog breed experience is everything from huskies, German shepherd, Rottweiler and more. Plenty of time for pet needs during the day! But as of right now I am only boarding/daycare on weekends. Same schedule stands for everything else! Walks! Bathing! You name it! The Rae Paw patrol has you covered! I make sure things are out of animals sight and or reach. Being that I stay in an apartment I take pets out frequently. am to make sure they are separate from others

About: I am a first year medical student who loves to play and care for animals. I have been caring for all types of animals for the past 10 years, including but not limited to dogs, cats, bunnies, fish, hedgehogs, etc. I have personal experience caring and training my dog who was diagnosed with glaucoma which caused her to become blind in one eye. This means that I have to administer eye drops into her eye every night. I have trained her to go to her bed and sit patiently to allow me to input her eye drops peacefully in an exchange for a treat. In high school I also helped train puppies to become guide dogs for the blind. I am able to care for wild and rambunctious dogs to relaxed and care-free dogs. With these special skills and personal experiences, I will be able to ensure that your dog is cared for as if they are my own. I understand that dogs are a huge part of your family and will do my best to make sure they are treated with love. As a full time student, I have flexibility in my schedule to fit in pet care into my weekly routine. I like to implement breaks into my study schedule and what good way to rest than playing/caring for animals! While I am unable to board / care for animals in my own home, I will be able to go to the pets home and care for them there. I can do house visits to feed or care for them in the home or take them out for walks around your neighborhood.
