Most recently, I had the joy of caring for a friend’s puppy full-time for six months, and that experience only deepened my love for the job. About: I have had dogs all my life and have been sole caregiver for my dog Jay Bear for five years! I have worked with therapy dogs and taken care over three different dogs as their primary sitter. I am currently in school getting my Master’s. I am free all day Tuesday and Friday! On Monday, Wednesday, Thursday I am free until 4 due to having evening classes! Hello! I have experience caring for all kinds of dogs. I have taken care of a dog going through chemotherapy, a dog with specialized diet, and many other specialized treatment needs. About: Hi my name is Jack Bishop, I'm a first year PhD student at Wayne State University studying Genetics and Genomic Sciences. I've offered my services on Rover on and off for the last 8 years and have thoroughly enjoyed every encounter and memory I've made with the furry creatures who come through my door. I've been privileged with the companionship of dogs all my life and as a result, I understand the crucial role they play in the lives of their owners. For that reason, I treat each and every animal placed under my care like my own pet. The opportunity to care for a wide variety of different dogs and dog breeds is the reason I love to work for Rover. Each and every one of their personalities is so distinct and unique. I live by myself in 2 bedroom apartment located near Brush Park in Detroit, MI (across the street from little caesars arena). On any given day, I'm in class for 1-3 hours. Otherwise, you can usually find me back home either studying or playing guitar. If you find yourself in need of exceptional dog care/hospitality or even if you’d like to have someone stop by to check in on your pup, feed them or take them for a walk, please do not hesitate to message me. As a PhD student, much of my time will be occupied by online courses with the occasional trip to campus. My schedule allows for sufficient interaction with any and all dogs placed under my care. I have a 1200 square foot apartment with a fenced in back yard that I can use to exercise dogs. Beyond this, I am an avid runner who is keen to run dogs provided permission from the owner.

About: I have 2 dogs that I have been taking care of for about 5 years! Additionally, I have been surrounded by dogs my entire life. My love for dogs has inspired me to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. I am currently an undergraduate studying zoology at MSU ! I am currently on summer break before my 3rd semester of college. About: I work in the medical field as a PA and also have a love for animals. I have my own dog and have grown up with dogs so I am very capable of caring for them! Caring for my own pet, Duke, and others fits wonderfully into my daily schedule. I do work during the days but often find myself coming home early. We do almost daily walks in the mornings or evenings and have lots of play time inside. Weekends are filled with outside activities such as dog parks, walks, or enjoying the day inside with friends. I live in an apartment downtown Detroit close to many dog parks as well as easy access to the riverwalk and other trails. My dog roams freely in our apartment/sleeps with us as any guest pets are welcome to do as well, unless specified otherwise by owners:)

About: Almost all of my experience as a dog owner and sitter is with dogs that have come from shelters or other adopted situations. I have owned “retired” greyhounds that were severely traumatized, I have cared for small dogs with unknown, but clearly extremely difficult, past traumas, and I have stayed and bonded with boxers and pit bulls who are slow to trust but then become bed-hogging cuddlers! Recently, I had my first experience helping train a puppy! I spent five months with a family and their sweet cavipoo house training and leash training. I teach from home and so I am always home! Well, except for the occasional errand, appointment, etc. So, I would love the extra company and the excuse to get out of the house and get some exercise! I live in an apartment building so I do not have a fenced yard. However, I live on Lafayette Park where I walk daily. It is incredibly safe and I have gotten to know many of the pet parents in the building and the neighborhood. I have two five month old kittens that I adopted from a foster home two months ago where they lived with a dog. I am hoping to keep them exposed to other animals so that when I have a larger place, I will be able to expand my family of pets.
