“Heather was amazing and I can tell by all the photos she sent that my two cats were very comfortable around her. Will definitely use her again! She was very quick to respond and gave great updates. My boys were definitely well-cared for and I came home to two happy cats! Thank you!”

About: Caring for pets has been my main job for about 8 years now. I’ve always had an immense love for dogs and other animals and make sure to care for each one the same way I would for my own. I like to stay active and love playing outside or especially walks. I will go as fast or slow as your dog wants! I also of course love to just chill and give pets. Ive gotten to know and understand many animals with different personalities and will adjust to your pets specific needs! My schedule is pretty flexible so I can accommodate your pets needs! I’m available at different times of the day so whether your pet needs a walk while you’re at work or a sitter for the week I am able to help out! I take sitting very seriously as it’s a big responsibility to care for your pet and home. I will always be sure to put the time aside needed to keep your pet happy and healthy and will be communicative if any issue arises. I will leave your house as clean as I found it and perform basic upkeep like light cleaning, gathering mail and taking out trash. I will also do more such as watering plants if you let me know! I am able to

“Emily took wonderful care of our dogs and was able to administer difficult medications to one of our dogs. She was super communicative and sent pictures of our dogs. I will definitely be using her again when she’s available!”

“Robyn was amazing with my pets! She was loving, attentive and so thoughtful. I hope we can build a long term relationship with her, both of my dogs were in love with her care. Thank you!”

“Danielle is a great sitter! Even though we organized our stay kind of last-minute, we were able to get in a meet and greet, and she instinctively knows all the right questions to ask to make sure your visit is worthwhile! She provided great updates and photos during the stay too, which is the most relieving part. Danielle was not only a great choice to check in on our cat Trebek, it is great to have someone check on the house while away. We hope to work with Danielle again and will definitely be going to her first for our needs!”

“Katherine was wonderful with our lovely lady puppy Stella. She was timely, updated us throughout her visit, and was super comforting with our puppy. We will absolutely be working with her again in the future!”

About: Our pets are family. I’ll treat yours with all the love & attention they deserve to give you peace of mind. I’ve been around dogs since I was 3 years old, starting with my Cocker Terrier mix, who was my best friend for 20 years. Since then, I’ve cared for & trained a variety of breeds, from tiny Yorkies to huge German Shepherds & all the shapes & sizes in between. I’ve developed an uncanny ability to form quick bonds so dogs feel at ease quickly with me in their pack. I’m patient, & super comfortable getting even the most timid dogs to warm up in no time. I provide flexibility during stays when you need special accommodations for uncertain travel days. I’m very communicative with my clients, so I’ll gladly answer questions & provide regular updates or pictures throughout my time with your pet. I also have ample experience caring for cats if your feline needs a friend. Presently, I’m dog dad to the sweetest 4 y/o Australian Shepherd who loves making new friends & hosting guests. We’d love to count yours among them! I’m happy to schedule a meet & greet to get to know you & your furry friend better, & ensure my pup, Sersi & I are the ideal fit for your needs. We’ll look forward to meeting you & your buddy soon! As a dog dad, pet care is central to my routine. I work from home, allowing me to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. I take regular breaks to play & engage with them, ensuring they feel loved & stimulated. I understand how stressful it can be when life takes us away from our furry friends, but you can rest easy knowing your pet will be well cared for in my home where your pup will have my friendly Aussie as a playmate. I maintain a clean, safe environment, ensuring your dog settles in quickly to feel right at home with all the comforts they’re used to. I have a safe neighborhood house with a fully fenced backyard for all the sniffing & zoomies time they could ask for. During drop-in visits or walks at your home, I follow routines closely, maintaining your pet’s schedule & environment while giving them all the attention they need to burn energy & feel happy. I make special care to keep them safe on walks through local neighborhoods & parks.
“Amanda was great! She sent lots of pictures and made sure my two cats (including a very anxious one) were well taken care of while I was out of town for work! She also left my apartment super clean which was so nice to come back to!”

“very communicative! i love that jennifer was able to tolerate my pebble's neediness and even check on moose who happened to be hiding under blankets! would definitely book with her again!”

“Annie has been watching my cat Figgy for 8 years, and recently took care of him and my kitten Marty. They both loved her, she’s someone I know I can trust with my babies. She takes great photos too”

“Katherine and I are big fans of Sam and so are our two kitties! Sam is so great, she followed all of our instructions perfectly and spent lots of quality time with our furbabies – gave them lots of pets, playtime, and TLC. Sam texted us adorable daily update photos and she’s a great communicator, always quick to respond. We 100% trust Sam and she’ll be our go-to kitty nanny for whenever we go out of town. ?”

About: I've owned dogs a majority of my life, both large and small breed. I've house trained and crate trained my own dogs so I have some experience with that, as well. I have 2 cats in the home but they tend to stay away from any new dogs, often hiding in their own room that the dogs are not allowed in. I work from home, which allows lots of one on one time with your pet. I'm able to flex my work schedule based on whatever is needed. I have a fenced in yard, which my own pup loves to run in. Lots of toys and playtime with plenty of comfy surfaces to nap on after.
“Alan was great with our senior kitties and communicated well during his visits. One of our cats turned out to be shy on the drop-ins, but Alan was patient and even found creative ways to get our cat to take his medicine. I would recommend Alan to a friend and would trust him again with our cats.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Hazel Park
Stephanie is always the best with Frankie! Her attention to detail and updates are impeccable. We’re so grateful for her. I also had to modify my arrangements mid trip and she was so accommodating last minute. She’s extremely professional, caring, and detail oriented. Thank you Stephanie!

Heather was super responsive and set me at ease with my first time utilizing Rover. She was very accommodating and I will absolutely utilize her again for drop ins when I am away in the future. Thank you again Heather. You were the highlight of Fig’s weekend as well!

Sydney was wonderful to have watch my cat! She was super prompt with visiting on the scheduled times, and she sent such good updates and cute photos. I could tell she also gave my cat so much love while I was gone. Sydney was also sweet enough to water my outdoor flowers everyday, which I was so appreciative of. I will definitely request Sydney to cat sit again in the future.

As always, really pleased with how Emily makes sure to show each of our pets a few moments of attention and affection while we’re gone. Her notes / reports are reassuring and show us how much she learns their personalities too! We’ve had issues come up on our trips and Emily is gracious enough to offer additional time with them until we get back if we need it. We can’t recommend Emily enough to care for the ones we worry about while we’re away!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
