“Audrey took great care of our 3 cats and our home while we were out of town! She provided daily updates with lots of photos that we looked forward to getting every day! She is very responsible and followed all our instructions. Don't hesitate to book with Audrey, we have already booked with her again!”

“Bridget is very kind and so sweet to my babies. I trusted that my cats would be in excellent care while I was out of the country and I couldn’t have been more right. Bridget was so lovely and took great care of them.”

“Danielle watched our cats for a second time. This time we were out of town for our wedding weekend. I was so confident in Danielle's ability to take care of my cats from hiring her previously that I was able to enjoy my wedding weekend without worrying if they would be okay. Upon returning home Danielle had not only cared so well for my cats, but she had also taken great care of our home. She got the mail for us, made sure to lock up and leave our key in a hidden spot, and took time to go in our backyard to let a terrified squirrel out of a trap we had accidentally (and recklessly) left out of the shed in our frenzy to leave for the wedding. Danielle went above and beyond what we could have ever hoped for. I would recommend her to anyone and we will continue to hire her whenever we are out of town due to the peace of mind and ability to leave our cats home anxiety free!”

“Dawn is very accommodating, flexible and great at communicating. We would use her again for sure. Our cats did great with her and one of our cats is very hard to win over. Thank you Dawn for your great care of our pack.”

“Katie was amazing with my dogs! Usually my dogs take a few minutes before they warm up to people but as soon as Katie walked in the door they were so excited. We had her check in on them while we got married. She sent us pictures and left us a little note on our table telling us how good our dogs were and how sweet they were. I will definitely use Katie again!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was around nine, helping with feed, bathing and taking puppies out. As well as giving the dogs their medicine and giving them more time with their training commands. Making sure they still follow those. Pet care fits into my daily routine, because I am currently looking for a job and love working with animals so this would be a nice side or main job Since we aren’t allowed to have pets in our home, I am respectful of other others and their suggestions or rules /boundaries of their routines and homes
“Hannah does an awesome job visiting my high maintenance Doberman puppy. I always book last minute. She is very reliable, ethical, and has been a lifesaver for our family a number of times. I have full trust in her taking care of my dog and highly recommend her!”

With a lifelong passion for dogs, I excel in building bonds and fostering confidence. I also have some experience in cat sitting. I work full-time now, but I truly miss dog training and spending time working with dogs. On my days off, I’d love to dedicate my time to helping you and caring for your pets when you need it most. Providing reliable, attentive, and loving care is something I genuinely enjoy, and I treat every pet like my own. For dog sitting, I prioritize maintaining your dog's routine in their familiar environment. I prefer meeting you and your dog beforehand to understand your expectations and their daily schedule. I enjoy enriching their lives with walks and engaging activities, including training games, tricks, and enrichment puzzles. Your dog's well-being and happiness are my top priorities, ensuring they feel comfortable and loved while you're away.

I highly reccomend her services!”

“Mikayla took very good care of our Charlie girl cat. We're super pleased with the many photos she sent. Also we arranged through a phone call that Charlie could hear my voice and nuzzled her phone.”

I hired Audrey last min and she took amazing care of my pets and house! She blew the other petsitter I had out of the water. She worked with me on scheduling because she was busy and gave me piece of mind! I 1000% recommend her to anyone looking for someone to take care of their fur babies!

Evelyn was wonderful from start to finish! She was so patient with Winnie, and for that I’m grateful!! She was on time every single visit and she brought the mail and packages in!!☺️ I don’t trust many especially in my home and around my dog!! I will definitely have Evelyn watch Winnie again! Thank you!!!!!
Jillian does a great job watching our two boys, we can tell they’re happy and well taken care of by the pictures and updates she sends. She’s done drop in visits for us a couple of times and has been available for last minute visits, which is terrific. Solid sitter, we recommend using her and will continue to do so ourselves!

Mary took fantastic care of our cats. She’s so patient with our shy Gus, who has finally decided that Mary is a-ok. Gino, of course, is her biggest fan. We have zero concerns leaving them both in Mary’s care - she provides great updates and pictures and both boys are well loved while we are gone. We can’t ask for more! Mary also went above and beyond taking in very large packages that came while we were away - it is much appreciated. We already have Mary booked for our next trip!

Danielle is the best ever! My shy and “picky eater” senior cat absolutely loved Danielle at the 1st visit. She is truly the “animal whisperer.” I was able to vacation stress free knowing my fur baby was being loved and cared for. I will surely have Danielle again to look after my senior baby again. She was quick to respond to any and all of my concerns. Thank you Danielle. You’re the best !!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
