About: I’ve had experience with dogs and cats, as I have owned both. I used to have a Siberian husky who I was used to walking everyday, and I am looking to get back into walking a dog. I have cared for friends and neighbors cats while they are on vacation. I currently work full time during the day but am looking forward to summer nights when I can walk after work. I am free at any time on Wednesdays. I am looking to start with just dog walking and drop in visits with cats to see how that goes. Unfortunately with my work schedule I don’t think I could care for someone’s dog while they are away.
“Britnie and Steve took excellent care of my kitty while I was away. They were thorough and communicative throughout. I would not hesitate to book with them again in the future!”

“Michelle was absolutely wonderful! She was incredibly reliable and on time every single day. We looked forward to her Rover reports and the pictures she sent, which gave us total peace of mind. Her communication was top-notch throughout the entire time. We couldn't have asked for a better sitter and highly recommend her!”

“Danielle was so great helping me out over a holiday. She communicated and we were able to text while she was at my house, which always helps a mom away! Very caring for both my big dog and my senior cat. Will use again!”

“I felt completely confident with knowing that my two cats were in caring, responsible, and attentive hands with Audrey! She has a spirit of humility and service. My cat’s new, best friend! Thank you, Audrey!!”

About: Certified in Pet First Aid/CPR and training, I bring 6 years of experience working with diverse dog breeds, ages, and temperaments, ranging from shy to reactive/aggressive. With a lifelong passion for dogs, I excel in building bonds and fostering confidence. I also have some experience in cat sitting. I work full-time now, but I truly miss dog training and spending time working with dogs. On my days off, I’d love to dedicate my time to helping you and caring for your pets when you need it most. Providing reliable, attentive, and loving care is something I genuinely enjoy, and I treat every pet like my own. For dog sitting, I prioritize maintaining your dog's routine in their familiar environment. I prefer meeting you and your dog beforehand to understand your expectations and their daily schedule. I enjoy enriching their lives with walks and engaging activities, including training games, tricks, and enrichment puzzles. Your dog's well-being and happiness are my top priorities, ensuring they feel comfortable and loved while you're away.
“Morgan was wonderful with our cats! She always took time to play with heir favorite toys and build relationships with them, including getting one of our very shy cats to let her pet them. Plus she brought in package delivered that came while we were gone and checked in with us on anything she wasn't sure of. It was a huge relief to know our babies were well cared for while we were gone.”

“We really appreciated the daily updates and photos from our drop in visits while we were traveling! It was such a relief to see our dogs playing and enjoying their time together.”

“Christina did an outstanding job. Our two kitties loved her. She was very thorough and we felt at ease on vacation knowing they were being cared for and loved as if they were her own pets. We will definitely use her services again.”

About: Hello! My name is Rachel. I'm currently an online college student pursuing my bachelor's degree in Sports Administration and work as an Event Supervisor. I've owned dogs my entire life and have always had a passion for caring for animals. My beloved Australian Shepherd, Ace, was my best friend for 14½ years, and we completed obedience training together twice. My significant other and I currently have a cute, sassy cat named Stinky, and I also have family members who rescue dogs, giving me valuable knowledge and experience with animals of all kinds. I know your pet is family, and my goal is to care for them just as you would. I strive to provide a safe, loving, and comfortable environment so you can have peace of mind while you're away. If my calendar doesn't show availability that meets your needs, please don't hesitate to reach out! My schedule can sometimes be more flexible than what's reflected, and I'm always happy to see if we can find a time that works. I’m currently working part time and going to school online. I am available to be around and take care of your pet most hours of the day unless I have an event I am working in the evening, then I would make sure I leave and return in timely fashion. When taking care of your pet at your home, if there is a fenced yard, I like to know if there are any holes or possible escape artists. If there is not fence I will keep your pet on a leash at all times

On days I don’t work I can stop by often to play, go for a walk, hang inside/outside or go for a car ride! Depending on your home, I’m comfortable crating if necessary, separating multiple dogs for meals, keeping them calm after eating, not leaving them unattended with toys then can rip apart or anything they can get into, including anything I might have, (shoes, purse, keys). If we go for a walk I will ensure all equipment fits properly so we don’t have any issues.

“Sarah did a great job letting our pups out. She even cleaned up the poop in the yard which we didn’t expect. She goes above and beyond what we expected. We will call on Sarah in the future and we highly recommend her.”
“All we can say is...AMAZING! Sarah cared for our senior dog, Murphy, while we were out of town. It was our first time leaving him with somebody other than family. He was comfortable, cared for, and given a lot of attention. She administered medicine to him, walked him, and treated him like her own pet. She send us detailed feedback and pictures at each visit. We highly recommend Sarah and will be a repeat client!”

“Iyla checked in on my cats while I was away overnight. She said they did great. The social one followed her around and my skittish one actually came out for her! Thank you so much for taking care of my cats while I was away Iyla!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
