“Danielle was so great helping me out over a holiday. She communicated and we were able to text while she was at my house, which always helps a mom away! Very caring for both my big dog and my senior cat. Will use again!”

“Michelle was absolutely wonderful! She was incredibly reliable and on time every single day. We looked forward to her Rover reports and the pictures she sent, which gave us total peace of mind. Her communication was top-notch throughout the entire time. We couldn't have asked for a better sitter and highly recommend her!”

“Kayla was great with Biscuit!! She provided plenty of pictures and updates. Biscuit is a kitten so he requires playtime and Kayla went the extra mile playing with him. You could tell she just loves cats”

“First time using Adam he did a great job and my 2 cats were well looked after and seemed happy when we returned from our trip. I will us Adam again for watching my cats.”

“I felt completely confident with knowing that my two cats were in caring, responsible, and attentive hands with Audrey! She has a spirit of humility and service. My cat’s new, best friend! Thank you, Audrey!!”

“We just moved to MI and we found Ashley on Rover. She has had four visits with Max so far and he loves her. Max is 17 years old - blind and deaf - so we are very particular about who takes care of him. Thank you Ashley.”

“This was our second time having Mary take care of Gus and Gino while we were out of town. We really appreciate Mary’s flexibility - we had to change our schedule a couple of times, and she’s so gracious and understanding. I also appreciate the “extra” she provided in handling a sensitive package that arrived earlier than expected. Gino loves the attention from Mary - Gus is still a bit shy but I am positive he will come out of his shell eventually. Mary did a great job keeping us updated and we loved the check ins and photos! We’ll definitely have Mary care for Gus and Gino again in the future!”

About: I’ve been a foster family for numerous dogs over the years. I’ve worked with numerous breeds and have been boarding for numerous consistent clients for over a decade. Animals are my deepest passion. Additionally, I have been rescuing domestic ducks for the past few years. Your pet will be loved as if they’re my own. I’ve worked with blind and deaf animals, dogs who pull on a leash, dogs who cannot be around other animals, and more! I currently work part time as a caregiver for special needs adults and children. If I am not home, I am not gone longer than 4 hours. I am in a masters degree program that is fully online so the rest of my week I am at home. Pet care fits perfectly into my schedule because I’ve been working with animals all my life and always have an animal in the house. I have boarded and fostered for over 15 years and love to meet new animals and see reoccurring clients. I have a fenced in yard and offer lots of playtime and cuddles. Animals are allowed on the furniture but if you do not prefer that then I absolutely understand. I am more than welcome to crate your pet or not, the choice is yours! I have worked with many animals with behavior concerns and special needs. There is no animal that is too challenging.
About: With a lifetime of experience caring for a wide variety of animals, I’ve always had a deep connection with pets. I’ve owned five dogs, ranging from energetic puppies to gentle seniors. I have also had three kitties as well! My experience with different life stages of both cats and dogs means I understand their unique needs and how to provide the love and care they deserve. I have also worked in a doggie daycare/boarding facility in the past that cared for dogs, cats, and exotics! This means I have even more confidence and experience with all animals! Despite my busy schedule with work and school, pet care remains a priority. While my parents handle most of the care for our dogs, I step in to watch them when they’re away, ensuring their safety by closing off areas of the house if I need to leave. I also manage feeding and letting them outside when everyone else is at work. Additionally, I own three crested geckos, to which I am dedicated, feeding them and misting their tanks with water twice a day. I also own two cats and clean their litter boxes and feed them once a day. This routine fits well with my other responsibilities, allowing me to provide consistent care for all our pets. I am committed to following the specific instructions provided by dog owners for their pets' care. Whether it involves feeding schedules, or any special needs, I will adhere to these guidelines to ensure their comfort and well-being. If crating is required for their safety or comfort, I will implement it as directed, ensuring a secure and positive environment for the dog while following the owner's preferences.

“Christina was amazing! Very personable person. She took several pictures of the drop in, was very attentive in text messages, and very professional. I recommend her 100%!!”

“Morgan is doing so well taking care of my cat. She has been not only doing cleaning well, but also taking time to play with my cat everytime. I recommend Morgan to anyone who needs a pet service.”

“Tara was wonderful with Rosie! She was reliable, communicative, and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. Rosie was well cared for, happy, and clearly comfortable in her care. I really appreciated the updates and photos, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Tara again. Highly recommend!”

“Chynna was great for my pups, cleaning up their surprise messes for me and all! Timely, communicative, and my dogs look like they gave good cuddles. Would love to have Chynna back!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my entire life and value the companionship and love they fill us with everyday. On top of caring for my own pup I have helped friends and family with walking and boarding when needed. I’m a sahm so pet care fits into my schedule right along with my other daily activities. We go on walks with my dog and play outside and could easily fit another furry friend into the routine. I take my sweet boy to the dog park twice a week so he can meet and play with friends. He’s extremely friendly with other dogs and people, so if you wanted for your fur baby to get some socialization I can always bring him with me. (He is up to date on all shots)
About: Hi I’m Brooke and I love animals of all kinds! I would LOVE to spend time playing with, walking and caring for your pet! I’ve had years of experience caring for pets of family members, neighbors, friends, and my own. I’ve grown up around many dogs in my household and I now have 2 cats. My pets are family as I’m sure yours are too! I’ve learned the responsibility of caring for pets at a young age and I treat each pet with love and compassion! Looking for something part time on the weekends. I currently am a special education aide at a school. I work school hours and have limited availability. In the summer I will have more days and times available. I will treat your pets like I treat my own with providing them with the care they need! I will make sure all their needs are met and be mindful of their likes/dislikes and any special needs or information. If requested, we could set up a meet and greet before I spend longer durations with your pet.
About: Certified in Pet First Aid/CPR and training, I bring 6 years of experience working with diverse dog breeds, ages, and temperaments, ranging from shy to reactive/aggressive. With a lifelong passion for dogs, I excel in building bonds and fostering confidence. I also have some experience in cat sitting. I work full-time now, but I truly miss dog training and spending time working with dogs. On my days off, I’d love to dedicate my time to helping you and caring for your pets when you need it most. Providing reliable, attentive, and loving care is something I genuinely enjoy, and I treat every pet like my own. For dog sitting, I prioritize maintaining your dog's routine in their familiar environment. I prefer meeting you and your dog beforehand to understand your expectations and their daily schedule. I enjoy enriching their lives with walks and engaging activities, including training games, tricks, and enrichment puzzles. Your dog's well-being and happiness are my top priorities, ensuring they feel comfortable and loved while you're away.
About: I’ve been taking care of various animals big and small since I was young. I have experience with puppies, sick dogs and nervous ones. I have also worked with cats too! I work part-time and go to university. I am a commuter so I’m all over Metro Detroit! While my schedule changes each semester I keep relatively the same structure and availability! I like to maintain a clean environment and keep pets healthy. I have experience administering medication such as pills and I am able to accommodate any special needs of pets :)
“Many thanks to Gabby, once again! Our 2 middle/upper-aged cats love her visits! Even our scaredy-cat comes out of hiding when she hears Gabby's voice. Gabby is great with getting back to us quickly & letting us know how her visit went. Highly recommend!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
