“Kayla was great with Biscuit!! She provided plenty of pictures and updates. Biscuit is a kitten so he requires playtime and Kayla went the extra mile playing with him. You could tell she just loves cats”

“Audrey was an absolute god-send! I'm in the military and was looking for someone to drop in and check on my dogs while I was away. It was quite nerve wrecking as this was the first time in 5 years I couldn't find a friend or family member to take care of them. But, I remembered Rover was quite a trusty service from my own time as a dog sitter on the app and quickly ran to it. The dogs did phenomenal with her, she sent great daily updates, and the pictures she took of them helped me feel at ease while I was away. If she had any questions while I was away, she was sure to message me which was sincerely appreciated. Myself and the dogs liked her so much, I've already booked her for future dates! Top notch dog sitter I highly recommend!”

About: Ive always loved all animals, and have had experience all through my life with them as I've had cats and dogs my whole life, I currently have 2 dogs at home, and they are crazy! I do now have and specific or special training with pets, I do know how to take care of and handle daily tasks for cats/dogs. I am looking to take care of pets full time for now, and want to continue taking care of them into the future, I'm available most days out of the week every week. With my dogs at home I walk them, pick up the poop and throw it away, I feed them, they get 2 different foods, Jasper is a puppy and needs a slow feeder, buddy is 2 years and gets fed out of a normal bowl, they get fed twice daily once in the morning and once at night. They love to play fetch and tug of war, but also like their cuddle time.
“This was our first time leaving our kitty away with someone from rover and Christina was the best! Got lots of pics of him and knew he was being well taken care of and loved on”

About: I’ve owned and loved dogs my entire life. I’ve also been dog sitting for multiple different kinds of dogs for the last 10 years. I am experienced with puppies as well as caring for senior dogs with special needs. I currently work full time but I have plenty of time after work (5:30-9pm) and on weekends to stop by to see your pet or walk your dog. I make sure all doors/gates are closed so no one can decide to make a run for it. I also make sure dogs are crated when I leave if that is something they need.
“Britnie and Steve took excellent care of my kitty while I was away. They were thorough and communicative throughout. I would not hesitate to book with them again in the future!”
“We really appreciate it Danielle‘s time. She stopped by to meet the dogs ahead of time and got to know them and know what we needed. She kept us up-to-date on what she was doing with the dogs. We really appreciate her friendly style.”

“Michelle was absolutely wonderful! She was incredibly reliable and on time every single day. We looked forward to her Rover reports and the pictures she sent, which gave us total peace of mind. Her communication was top-notch throughout the entire time. We couldn't have asked for a better sitter and highly recommend her!”

“We have used Tami a couple of times now and love her! She is fantastic and loves on our Ellie as if she was her own. She keeps us posted on how things are going and is good about letting us know if there are any concerns. She is loving and kind to both our dog and family! We will continue to trust Tami with our sweet pup and highly recommend you do as well!”

“Ashley aka Red is the best in the area. She loves our pets as if they were her own and we cannot thank her enough for helping us when we have to go out of town. She is always on time, kind and courteous and I know our furry friends love her too. Thanks Red for all that you do for us and the community.”

“This was our first time using rover.com and couldn't be happier with Christina's stay with Bailey. The pictures that we received each drop-in visit really made us feel at ease that he was taken care of and was in really good hands. We used to drop him off at PetSmart while on vacation but he seems 100 times happier after this vacation than before. We'll definitely work with her again!”
About: I’ve taken care of the dogs in the family for years, and still do with two pups of my own. I also work at a veterinary hospital as a vet tech I can tend to emergency situations, post- op care, giving medication’s cleaning bowls regularly, noticing any issues and giving them lots of kisses! I’m comfortable with senior dogs and puppies, and used to foster! I’m also CPR certified! I work 12 hour shifts every other day, so I’m open to weekend stays, days after work and the entire next day, some holidays, vacations. On days I don’t work I can stop by often to play, go for a walk, hang inside/outside or go for a car ride! Depending on your home, I’m comfortable crating if necessary, separating multiple dogs for meals, keeping them calm after eating, not leaving them unattended with toys then can rip apart or anything they can get into, including anything I might have, (shoes, purse, keys). If we go for a walk I will ensure all equipment fits properly so we don’t have any issues.
About: Certified in Pet First Aid/CPR and training, I bring 6 years of experience working with diverse dog breeds, ages, and temperaments, ranging from shy to reactive/aggressive. With a lifelong passion for dogs, I excel in building bonds and fostering confidence. I also have some experience in cat sitting. I work full-time now, but I truly miss dog training and spending time working with dogs. On my days off, I’d love to dedicate my time to helping you and caring for your pets when you need it most. Providing reliable, attentive, and loving care is something I genuinely enjoy, and I treat every pet like my own. For dog sitting, I prioritize maintaining your dog's routine in their familiar environment. I prefer meeting you and your dog beforehand to understand your expectations and their daily schedule. Your dog's well-being and happiness are my top priorities, ensuring they feel comfortable and loved while you're away.
About: I think that animals have personalities, feelings, and emotions just like humans do. So when I take care of a furry friend, it's like I'm taking care of a baby. They need a lot of attention and require a lot of care. I like to get to know your fur baby and build a bond with them. I know that leaving your pet with a stranger can be nerve-racking but I want you to know that when you leave your dog in my care, that they will be treated with respect and given the best care that I can provide. I am always available and willing to put in the effort it takes. This would help supplement my income and give me the opportunity to spend more time with fur babies of all kinds! I enjoy the company of fur babies, it is very therapeutic. I have plenty of space for fur babies to be comfortable. I love to take my baby on walks and have plenty of play time as well.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Harrison Township. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
