“Samantha was great! I have 2 cats and neither are a huge fan of strangers. One needs meds twice a day and the other we recently adopted likes to hide. Samantha was able to make sure my cat who needs meds got her meds and she even was able to pet her and give her some attention, which is very hard to do! My other cat hid the entire time (to be expected) but Samantha kept me updated and made sure he was still eating and using the litter box. Overall a great experience and I would book again!”

About: Although I've never owned a dog, I have watched plenty for my friends and family. I love caring for dogs because there is never a dull moment. I'm a big walker, and I love when I dog sit and get some company on my walks. I am currently a full time student, with most of my classes being in the late afternoon/ early evening. With that being said, most mornings I am available. Cats don't require quite the same amount of attention as dogs, so I can always stop in to check on them before and after my class during the evening if needed. I treat every home I care for — including my own — like a safe, calm space for pets. At my place, my four cats have a predictable routine with plenty of food, water, litter boxes, and quiet spaces to retreat to. I pay close attention to their behavior, making sure everyone is comfortable, calm, and happy. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their instructions closely and respect the environment they’re used to. I keep their space tidy, maintain their usual routines, and ensure they have everything they need to feel safe — whether that’s food, water, clean litter boxes, or quiet corners to relax. I also observe interactions and personalities, adjusting my approach to match each pet’s comfort level. Updates and photos are part of my care so owners can feel confident that their pets are happy and secure.
“Danielle was so great helping me out over a holiday. She communicated and we were able to text while she was at my house, which always helps a mom away! Very caring for both my big dog and my senior cat. Will use again!”

“Amanda provides great care, she is conscientious and concerned with knowing details about pets and care. She is great with communicating and follow up, very reliable. Fortunate to have her support us with care of our fur family!”

“Lisa is a true professional. While I was across the pond visiting friends, Lisa took excellent care of my fur baby. My mind was at ease knowing Lisa was taking care of my cat. She even watered my plants. I’m so thankful I found her on Rover.”

“Michelle was absolutely wonderful! She was incredibly reliable and on time every single day. We looked forward to her Rover reports and the pictures she sent, which gave us total peace of mind. Her communication was top-notch throughout the entire time. We couldn't have asked for a better sitter and highly recommend her!”

About: I have cared for animals ever since I was 10 years old. I’ve had small pets of my own, two dogs (a pit bull and a corgi) and my roommate owns two cats, as well. I have no allergies and have a smoke free home! I’m a teacher during the school year, so I’m just looking to keep some animals company this summer while on break! I’m currently part time in the summer, so I have a lot of time to stop in and care for animals or go for walks. I can do weekdays and weekends pretty much all times of the day. I live in an apartment, so when I walk my dog it has to be on a leash. I am happy to crate animals. I have a small cage for about a 30-35 lbs dog.
“Meghan is a natural! She is loving, caring, and enjoys what she does. Charlie is a puppy and is high energy and she knew exactly how to handle him. She is also very accommodating and provides pictures and updates throughout the visit. We will definitely use her services again!”

“This was our first time using rover.com and couldn't be happier with Christina's stay with Bailey. The pictures that we received each drop-in visit really made us feel at ease that he was taken care of and was in really good hands. We used to drop him off at PetSmart while on vacation but he seems 100 times happier after this vacation than before. We'll definitely work with her again!”
“Jamie spoils our puppy rotten when she is with him. She takes him for runs, makes sure he gets water, and plays with him and his favorite toys. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
