“Sidney was great. She sent updates a few times and pictures which was so appreciated. Maggie was a bit Leary about the hardwood floors someone’s put down rugs. She was an excellent sitter and highly recommend”

About: I have over 13 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, including puppies, adult dogs, and seniors. I was a devoted owner of my Chihuahua for 13 years, which gave me extensive experience with long-term, attentive care and the needs of an aging dog. I also have experience with neonatal puppies. I helped care for a litter of 8 puppies from birth through adoption, assisting with feeding, handling, cleaning, monitoring their development, and providing consistent care until they went to their forever homes. I continue to help care for young puppies belonging to family and friends, giving me experience with puppy routines, supervision, and the extra patience they require. Additionally, I gained professional experience working at a doggy daycare during college, where I helped care for multiple dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I’m dependable, attentive, and comfortable following each pet’s individual routine. My goal is to provide the same level of care, patience, and attention I would want for my own dog. My Availability 🐾 I’m unavailable Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 AM–4 PM, but I’m available after 4 PM on those days. I’m fully available Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with flexible availability throughout the day. Have a specific schedule in mind? Send me a booking request or message me with your dates and your pet’s routine, and I’ll be happy to see how I can help! 🐾 Every pet has their own routine, personality, and needs, so I like to learn what works best for them before each booking. I’m happy to provide feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, potty breaks, litter box care, medication if needed and within my comfort level, and plenty of attention and companionship. For drop-in visits and walks, I can follow your pet’s normal routine and make sure they’re comfortable, safe, and cared for while you’re away. I’m also happy to provide updates and photos so you know how they’re doing. For overnight care, I do not stay overnight in clients’ homes. I’m happy to discuss extended drop-in visits or multiple visits throughout the day and evening instead. For boarding or overnight stays in my home, arrangements need to be discussed and approved in advance since I live with my family. I’ll make sure the setup is a good fit for both your pet and my household before confirming the booking. My goal is to make the experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible for both you and your pet.
“I highly recommend Christina! She watched my 4 month old Havanese puppy and provided excellent care and sent pictures, videos and updates for us to enjoy while we were away from our baby for the first time 😊”
“Josh tuned in to my dogs special needs and quirks right away and kept us updated during our 10-day trip. His photos and updates kept us confident our beloved pet was in good hands. Kiki couldn’t have been in better hands.”

“I have used her boarding service twice or thrice now and she is amazing and very cooperative and flexible .I consider myself to be one of those who asks too many questions and lots of updates through out the day and she is happy to do that . Flexible in scheduling or changing dates and flexible timings for pickup. She is one of the best on this app. Definitely recommended!”

“Judith took care of our 1yr old dashound. She was absolutely AMAZING!!!!! She sent pictures and videos the whole time we were gone. I will be using her wonderful tenderness towards watching our dog again. 10 stars deserved!!!!”

About: Here to help with all your pets needs. Love being around dogs and have enough room for yours to run around and have a great time. Been raising dogs for over 12 years! I have always had dogs in my life and love being around them. Friends bring their dogs over , family , my yard is over a half acre and there’s plenty of room to run! Working on finish fencing in my back yard for the ability to leave dogs outside for longer periods. They will always be supervised and will get a lot of running in while being over!
“Eunju spoiled our labrador completely! She took her to various parks for long walks and puppy adventures. Eunju makes it easy to travel with peace of mind, sending daily updates & taking care of our dog so lovingly.”

“Katrina is excellent pet sitter. I was able to do a meet and greet before the sitting. She had good communication and flexibility to make that meeting happen. She was very patient and helpful with me and all the booking, since I am new to the system. During the sitting Katrina was very good updating us with the right amount of comments and pictures about how our dog was doing. Our dog came home relaxed and happy, clearly Katrina took well care of him. Katrina's own down is similar in size and breed to our dog, so the possibility to a playmate during the sitting was a nice surprise. We recommend Katrina 100% and we will have her in our roster for future pet sitting needs.”

“Mackenzie took very good care of my dog Daisy. Daisy had a little anxiety at first but MacKenzie got her to settle down and have fun playing with her kids. Was well taken care of. Would recommend her to anyone looking for a good sitter.”

“Charlie was well taken care of and Craig was great with him. He took him for long walks and played with him as well as updating me with a picture. I will definitely use him again.”

About: I've had pets my entire life and have experience caring for dogs of all sizes and breeds, from Yorkies to Huskies. As a proud cat mom to two energetic "tiny terrors," I'm also comfortable caring for cats and understanding their unique personalities. In addition to dogs and cats, I am an experienced exotic pet keeper and understand the importance of proper care, feeding schedules, and attention to each pet's individual needs. I love spending time outdoors playing with dogs, going for walks, and helping them stay active and happy. I'm also experienced in caring for senior dogs and understand the patience, gentleness, and extra attention they may require. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, loved, and right at home while you're away. Animals have always been a part of my daily life. Between caring for my own cats and years of experience with dogs, exotic pets, and senior animals, pet care is second nature to me. I work remotely, which allows me to be home throughout the day and provide plenty of attention, companionship, potty breaks, and care as needed. I make time each day for feeding, exercise, enrichment, and lots of affection. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, loved, and right at home while you're away. I provide care in both my home and my clients' homes, depending on what works best for you and your pet. I have a fenced-in yard where dogs can safely play and get exercise. Since I work remotely, I am home throughout the day and can provide plenty of attention, companionship, potty breaks, and playtime. I follow your pet's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medication (if needed), and lots of love and attention. I am comfortable crating pets if needed. As I am just getting started, I do not currently have a crate available, so I ask that owners provide one if their pet is crate trained or requires crating. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and right at home while you're away. 🐾
“Monica is the best! It’s so great to be able to leave our fur baby with her and know that she’ll be taken care of as if she was at home! Mazie just loves to go to her house and snuggle the day away!”

“Nathan and his family are excellent dog sitters. Duke had a great time. He was sending pictures so I can see how Duke was managing being away from home. I truly appreciate the great care they gave my dog. I’ll definitely use them again.”

“Christopher was the perfect host for my small dog. She fit in perfectly and was completely comfortable on first meet. His pets and my dog played well together. Christopher sent plenty of photos and provided updates. Thank you for taking my last minute request! I will definitely make Christopher my 1st choice when I need boarding services”

“Took Shadow to Kathy for a couple of daycare visits prior to leaving him for a week. Shadow got along fine with Kathy and her husband. After those initial daycare visits, I knew she was the right person to take care of my furkid while I was on vacation. Shadow stayed with Kathy for 7 days, she sent pics, videos and narrative updates daily. He was happy as a clam in her care and I highly recommend Kathy!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Anchor Bay Harbor
Kate was absolutely amazing with Oreo! ❤️ I needed a sitter last minute while we were traveling to Chicago, and because Oreo is an elderly dog who is blind and partially deaf, I was very nervous about leaving him with someone new. Kate completely put me at ease. From our meet and greet, she was caring, patient, kind, and so attentive to everything I told her about Oreo and his needs. Her house is also extremely clean! Kate listened to all of my concerns, followed his routine, made accommodations for him and kept me updated throughout our trip with pictures and text messages. Seeing those pictures and knowing he was being cared for made it so much easier for me to enjoy my time away. Kate truly went above and beyond, and I couldn't have asked for a better person to care for Oreo. She didn't just watch him, she cared for him with genuine compassion and patience. Everything went perfectly, and I came home to a happy, well cared lil old man as Kate affectionately called him. 🥰 I am so grateful I found Kate, especially on such short notice. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, dependable, patient, and loving with their pets. Kate was wonderful, and I wouldn't hesitate to trust her with Oreo again! ❤️🐾 ❤️🐾

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Anchor Bay Harbor home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Anchor Bay Harbor.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Anchor Bay Harbor sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
