“It was a pleasure meeting Deena. She had a lovely sign in her living room welcoming us on the evening we arrived. She made Winston feel right at home. We look forward to having Deena watch Winston again.”

“Kate has watched Rue a few times now and I can’t recommend her highly enough. She really loves Rue and will make sure she is comfortable for her entire stay. Prior to Katie, Rue would stay at kennels and come home disheveled and typically with kennel cough or some other ailment. When she comes home from staying with Katie, she is in perfect condition, happy, and calm. Katie has been a huge help and such a positive in Rue’s life!”

“Katrina is excellent pet sitter. I was able to do a meet and greet before the sitting. She had good communication and flexibility to make that meeting happen. She was very patient and helpful with me and all the booking, since I am new to the system. During the sitting Katrina was very good updating us with the right amount of comments and pictures about how our dog was doing. Our dog came home relaxed and happy, clearly Katrina took well care of him. Katrina's own down is similar in size and breed to our dog, so the possibility to a playmate during the sitting was a nice surprise. We recommend Katrina 100% and we will have her in our roster for future pet sitting needs.”

“We were very nervous to leave our 7 month-old golden with a Rover for the first time but she was well taken care of and had lots of fun. Amanda sent a lot of pictures too which eased our minds!”

“Britnie and her fiancé boarded our two dogs two times in a month for a week each time. After the first stay, there was no question Dixie and Yoshi would be staying with them again. Britnie sent an update with tons of pictures every day and I know our pups got the love and attention they needed. I didn’t feel I had to worry at all about them while enjoying vacation. I would highly recommend Britnie’s services and will definitely plan on using her again in the future.”

“Kshama was professional and responsive when I contacted her during Lucky’s stay at her home with her husband and their dog Zeus. I received videos and pictures to remind me how happy lucky was. I had to extend Lucky’s stay so I rebooked again with her for a longer stay. When I went to drop more food for lucky, he was happy. I’ll use her again when I need to.”

“Our first time leaving our dog behind and we had an amazing experience with Tory! She made us feel very relaxed that our pup is in great hands, we will definitely return in the future. She is great at sending updates and pictures and our dogs seemed to have had a great time. We highly recommend her!”

“I think Shivambika did a very good job with my 7 lb. Yorkshire Terrier. She learned about and respected some of his breed’s idiosyncrasies. She took him into her yard, on a leash, & to a nearby trail. No doubt he loved that. It was my fault that he had to be exposed to another dog for his last 3 days, as I initially got my return date wrong . But he dealt with that pretty well, it seems.”

“Kristen was great! She was able to be extremely flexible with our travel plans and allow for an early drop off and late pick up which made it very easy for us. Her timely and relaxed communication made us more comfortable with leaving Maui in her care for the week while we traveled out of the country. She gave us just the right amount of updates and pictures to let us know Maui was having a great time in her care! She was able to accommodate all of his needs and we couldn’t recommend her services enough! When we picked up Maui we could tell he had a great time and made a new friend! Thanks again Kristen!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Macomb
Cheri provided excellent care for my dog during her 11 days of boarding and kept me up to date with daily photos. I was so nervous to leave my senior, arthritic dog for such a long period of time but I cant tell from the photos and videos sent that Cheri kept her safe, active, and happy during her stay. Im so grateful and highly recommend!
We were nervous leaving our dogs for 10 days while we were in Japan, but Kayla made it such an easy experience. She took amazing care of Boaty and Bean and gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She sent daily pictures and thorough updates, which we really appreciated and looked forward to every night. We’ll absolutely be using her again in the future and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter!!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
