“Danielle was so great helping me out over a holiday. She communicated and we were able to text while she was at my house, which always helps a mom away! Very caring for both my big dog and my senior cat. Will use again!”

“Melissa sent me loads of photos and took great care of my 2 year old dog and new, 8-week old puppy. She made me feel completely comfortable leaving them and they were happy, safe, and sound when we returned home :)”

About: I’ve been around pets for years, I take care of my brothers golden retriever whenever they go away for vacations along with drop ins when they need me. I have taken care of my brothers bull dog who has since passed away and I have a cat of my own. Currently I help my boyfriend’s family with their special needs dog. Administering medication and monitoring for seizures. In the past I’ve owned a guinea pig so I when a wide verity of pet care. I work from home and have all the time in the world to leave my house for a good time period and can come in and out When I watched other dogs I would go to their home and try to follow their routine so the animal feels nothing is changed and feel loved
“Jessicah did a fantastic job! She provided an update every day with a photo, even for my shy cat who hides far under the bed. The cat came out only after a few days. She went above and beyond completing extra favors like cleaning messes, taking in packages, changing lights etc. We will definitely be using Jessicah again!”

“Lily has helped us out three times now and we can’t say enough good things! She’s great with both of our dogs, takes tons of pictures, and is always letting us know how things are going throughout our trip! Lily is AMAZING!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages and special needs for 10+ years. The largest dog I’ve cared for in their home was a great wolf hound weighing 165 lbs. he was the biggest baby in the world! I have a 3 year old golden retriever who loves everyone and every dog. I watch a golden retriever who is 8 and a golden doodle who is 1 continuously throughout the year. Looking to add more fur baby dates to calendar for my golden who loves new friends! I’m a nanny and my schedule changes daily but im able to leave to come home whenever needed. Letting the dogs out is no concern :) experienced with all breeds and sizes but dog friendly/ people friendly is a must. 1 dog home- an almost 3 year old golden retriever who loves everyone and every dog. When she isn’t at day camp at pets mart she’s playing with the neighbors dogs. Having doggie friends daily is what she would love. Watching dogs while the owners are on trips is what we are used to. 5-10 days at a time.
“Lauren was amazing with our fur baby’s! Oshie is a bit shy and she took the time with her to allow her to warm up! She came to the house, played, let them out to go potty and got pictures and a report card! We will definitely be using her again!”

“Kelly was great with the dogs - we have two bigger males (70lb husky and 100lb husky mix). It's clear that she really enjoys pets and the dogs had a great time. We will definitely be booking her again. She was very friendly and informative for the visit.”

About: Hello there! I’ve watched many of my friends and family’s dogs numerous times for one week, two weeks, sometimes three weeks or longer, overnight and during the day. I am very attentive and caring with pets. I absolutely love dogs! I love playing with dogs, walking dogs, giving them all the love they deserve! I currently have a very open schedule to assist you with your dogs so they receive the best care ever! I’m looking forward to giving your amazing dogs the best care ever! I keep my house very clean and free of harmful objects that dogs can get into and cause potential harm to them. I always make sure my dogs are let out frequently enough to go to the bathroom and given plenty of time outside, I will always make sure they have plenty of water to drink, always enough food to eat and of course plenty of dog treats and all the play time!
“Jaimie is a seasoned pet caregiver, especially for seniors. Our senior dog loves her, and we know she is in good hands with Jaimie. Jaimie thoroughly clarifies the details of scheduling visits and is very thoughtful about ensuring things are going well.”

About: I have cared for and owned all different kinds of animals. I have been in the horse riding industry since I was 8 years old so I am not skiddish towards other animals. I truly have a passion for animals and I am very able and willing to do what it takes to take care of your beloved pets!! I am currently a full time student, however I am a commuter so I have the ability to travel freely in between classes and outside of classes. I am on summer break from May-September and have a virtually free schedule for whatever you may need! I am more than happy to confine to whatever you may need me to do in order to give your pet the best care possible. I have slept over, done drop ins, walks, etc. with other dog and cat sitting jobs and I am very comfortable.
About: I grew up with cats and have raised two pups since they were around 10 weeks old. I’ve taken them to multiple levels of training classes and groom them at home. I treat my animals like they’re my children and would be happy to spread my love along to your furry friends! I currently take care of two 4-year-old dogs. I work from home so I care for them around the clock each day, which includes feeding, playing, and walking them. I ensure my pets receive adequate amount of food, playtime, attention and love each day. One of my pets was diagnosed with anxiety as a puppy, which has been a huge learning experience during walks and interactions with other dogs and people. I am a very patient person and would be happy to take care of pets regardless of their needs or extreme personalities and behaviors. :)
About: I have worked in the veterinary medical field for 6+ years and have thousands of hours of experience as a veterinary assistant. I am comfortable with all types of dogs and cats, with all different personalities- that’s what makes them all unique and I love it! I am currently very flexible with my weekly routine and I am more than happy to meet with you beforehand if you feel more comfortable. As an avid cat owner, I have Toulouse naturally leash-trained. I have an enclosure for him so he can enjoy the outside, while also being safe. At clients’ homes, I follow all instructions to make sure the pet is safe. I also will make sure the pet is always in my sight if outside.
About: I’ve had 2 dogs who I loved and cared for very much throughout my life. I’m hoping to rescue a dog of my own once I can afford one! I love taking care of them and am happy to take them on walks, feed them, take them out, etc-all of the care that comes with them! I currently have a schedule that is pretty flexible during the week so anytime works then! The weekends can also be flexible, just need to know in advance! I don’t have any pets at my house currently, but whatever your care needs are for your doggo I am happy to follow the card instructions.
About: I have been an animal lover my entire life! I grew up dog sitting with my mom & have managed multiple dog daycares within the past 6 years as well as running my own pet care business Tays Walk & Stay with a 25+ client base! I am also a dog trainer as well. I have plenty of experience with all sizes, temperaments, & breeds. I can also administer any type of medication! I feel animals can sense when you're comfortable around them & that is very important to me. I feel that is why I do so well with all types of animals because they sense how much I enjoy being around them! I do have a pup of my own, he is an English Cream Golden Retriever named Kingston!! He's a 5 year old sweetheart. This used to be my full time job, but since I moved to New Haven, I had to find other ways to stay busy, but I am looking to get back into this full time!! I offer primarily in-home boarding at my house. Any dogs that board with me MUST be good with other dogs or you must be okay with them having limited roaming in the home, sleeping in the dog room/kennel, but still with full access to my dog room. I offer in-home sitting as well but it does depend on my husbands schedule if I have care for my pup as well, because just like your pets, he does need lots of love and care too! I do have a doggie room set up in my home with unlimited access to water and cameras for me to watch them whenever I am not home. I prefer if pups are comfortable in crates as they may need to be in one if I have multiple pups with me as I do have regular clients that board with me very often and I never leave pups out together unattended. If they are the only pup with me at the time they will have free roam of the doggie room if they are good to be left out! Overnight they do stay in my room with me and my pup and it is very large so they have lots of space as well.❤️🐾

Isabella was absolutely wonderful with my dog and cat! Sweet, reliable, and very attentive to their needs. She made the whole process easy and gave me peace of mind while I was away. I came home to two happy pets and would gladly trust her again. Highly recommend!

Lauren is so great with my dog, Denver! She asks great questions to make sure she knows how best to take care of him and seems to really understand and enjoy dogs in general. I am impressed with how thorough and organized she is. Denver loves her and I feel such peace of mind having Lauren take care of him when I am gone!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
