About: Hello, I am an experienced pet owner. I currently have dogs, reptiles and amphibians, but have had cats, Guinea pigs, rabbits, and fish in the past. I have also helped care for goats and horses. No matter what your pet is, I am your person to call. Dogs, caged rabbits, guinea pigs or reptiles are welcome in my home. Sorry but my one dog is not cat friendly. Over night care in my home only. For animals with medical needs, I have worked in health care/radiology since 1990, and have also worked as an EMT. I am comfortable giving meds, even those that need to be injected. Friends and family have relied on me for their pet care, and you can too. I work Monday through Friday eight hour days. While at work I have cameras monitoring your pup(s) and I check on them often. Weekend is all about the animals. I have a large fully privacy fenced yard for your pups to run with my dogs. They will have lots of space to play in and sniff around.

About: I’ve always had a pet at home, and now that I’m an adult, I have my own fur baby (cat). I love to give her lots of play time, treats, scratches, and snuggles. I would love to pass the love on to your animals as well! Family and friends always request that I take care of their fur babies while they are away and I would love the opportunity to take care of yours as well 🫶🏼 I’m here for whatever it is they need! I’m currently a server, and our restaurant doesn’t open until 3pm on the weekdays. Walking/visiting with an animal is the perfect way to fill my day before heading into work. I’m available until 2pm Monday-Thursday! Whatever guide lines you set out to take care of your animal is exactly what I will do. Keeping your pet happy and safe is my number one priority!

About: I think that animals have personalities, feelings, and emotions just like humans do. So when I take care of a furry friend, it's like I'm taking care of a baby. They need a lot of attention and require a lot of care. I like to get to know your fur baby and build a bond with them. I know that leaving your pet with a stranger can be nerve-racking but I want you to know that when you leave your dog in my care, that they will be treated with respect and given the best care that I can provide. I am always available and willing to put in the effort it takes. This would help supplement my income and give me the opportunity to spend more time with fur babies of all kinds! I enjoy the company of fur babies, it is very therapeutic. I have plenty of space for fur babies to be comfortable. I love to take my baby on walks and have plenty of play time as well.

About: Hi! I’m Samantha, a pet handler supervisor with professional experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Working in a pet resort has given me hands-on experience with everything from energetic puppies to senior pets who need a little extra patience and attention. As a pet parent myself, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family members. I treat every pet as if they were my own, providing plenty of love, attention, playtime, and care while keeping their routine as consistent as possible. What sets me apart is my professional background. I’m comfortable reading animal body language, recognizing signs of stress or illness, administering basic medications if needed, and caring for multiple pets with different needs. Whether your pet needs a quick potty break, a walk, playtime, or companionship while you’re away, you can feel confident they’re in experienced hands. I believe communication is important, so you can expect updates and photos during every visit. My goal is for you to have peace of mind and for your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! 🐾❤️ I have daytime availability and love being able to spend that time caring for animals. My schedule allows me to provide reliable visits, walks, playtime, and check-ins while keeping your pet’s routine as normal and stress-free as possible. Working as a pet handler supervisor has given me the experience to confidently care for pets with different personalities and needs. ❤️ I provide care in my clients’ homes through reliable check-ins and walks that help keep pets comfortable in their own familiar environment. I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine, including feeding instructions, fresh water, potty breaks, playtime, and any specific care preferences you provide. During visits, I focus on making pets feel safe, loved, and stress-free while you’re away. I’ll take the time to build trust, respect each pet’s personality, and provide updates and photos so you know how your pet is doing. 🐾 With my experience as a pet handler supervisor, I’m comfortable with pets of different sizes, ages, and personalities, and I understand how important patience and attention to detail are.

Even sketchy little Piqeaux the Chiweenie warmed up to her. It was gratifying to receive her daily updates and pics. Heather will be by furbaby-sitter from now on.

About: I’ve cared for different kinds of dogs on a regular basis and for short periods of times as well. I can also check in on cats as well and feed them and make sure they’re okay. I work for the schools and I am currently on summer break right now so my schedule is extremely flexible. I have my own dog I care for as well but will definitely have the time to check in on your fur babies as well. I always check my backyard for critters before letting my dog out, especially at night. I personally get skunks in my area frequently and it’s a must. My dog has a doggy door and loves outside time but I always know where he is. I feed him and make sure he’s always comfortable. This is the same kind of care I would provide for your fur babies.

About: What sets me apart is that I truly treat every pet like they're my own. I live with three dogs and a cat, so I understand different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I’m comfortable with all ages—from playful puppies to slow-moving seniors—and I’m great at picking up on nonverbal cues to keep your pet safe, happy, and stress-free. Whether your dog needs extra playtime, medication, or just a calm presence, I’m ready to give them the care and attention they deserve. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine—I live with three dogs and a cat, so caring for animals is second nature to me. From feeding and walks to playtime and cuddles, I’m always tuned in to their needs. About: I have always had dogs in my life since a child. I worked at a doggy day care where I watched over 40 dogs at once, fed, bathe, and cared for. I was also able to run a boarding shift on weekends. I am currently focusing on college, family, and my dogs, but also want to do what I love which is caring for all sorts of dogs I have 2 dogs. 50 lb golden doodle and 15 lb Pekingese. My golden is 2 years old and very friendly and playful. I could always bring someone’s dog to my house if needed, I have a huge backyard and tons of rooms in the house if there were any problem. I have many leashes that are around 20-50ft long so I can let my dogs or any other dogs run around or sniff in my backyard as they please. I have no problem welcoming someone’s dog to my home but will always prefer staying where that dog is most comfortable, being their home.

I couldn’t be happier with the care Chance receives! Chance has a lot of triggers, so finding someone who is patient, understanding, and attentive to his needs was incredibly important. She takes the time to learn his cues, respects his boundaries, and always handles him with such calm confidence. She’s also kind, communicative, and completely trustworthy, which gives me so much peace of mind. I love the adorable updates and photos she sends after each walk—they always make my day and reassures me that Chance is happy and well cared for. It’s clear she genuinely loves what she does, and I feel so lucky to have found her. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and knowledgeable dog walker!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
