“Great individual. Even though Angela primarily came to let my dog out, also provided some love to my cat. Now let me just say that often my cat is very shy, but he melted in her hands (per pictures). Also a great part seeing the pictures she sends made me smile.”

“Another wonderful visit from Cynthia with our girls. Our dogs, Dallas and Gia love her love and care. Cynthia is timely and so considerate w/the girls and care instructions. We are very thankful for her!!!”

About: I’ve been pet sitting since I was in high school and I am currently 29. I have had a few regular clients over the past ten years and am looking to get on Rover since several of my regular clients have sadly passed on. I have experience with older dogs and administering medication. I have 10+ years of experience with taking care of dogs. I have a hybrid job that allows me to work from home about 70% of the time. My weekends and evenings are also free. I would love to take care of your fur babies! Nothing sounds better to me than getting paid to take care of and love your dogs! I have an attention to detail that allows me to take care of your pets with the love and attention you would! I am able to stick to a schedule and accommodate any activities or needs that your dog has.
“Matthias was an excellent dog sitter for our vacation. The dogs were very well taken care of, he went above and beyond at the house. He gave my elder dog her medication diligently and my springer lots of play time.”

“Abby did a great job caring for all 3 of our large, high energy dogs! Came by for a quick meet and greet beforehand which eased my mind, as my dogs can be quite a bit to handle!”

About: What sets me apart is my years of experience caring for neighborhood pets and my unique background helping train future Leader Dogs. This specialized training has taught me how to handle puppies with patience, enforce positive behaviors, and stay highly attentive to a dog's specific needs. Whether your pet is a high-energy puppy who needs consistent structure, a senior dog requiring gentle companionship, or a cat who loves quiet company, my hands-on experience ensures they will be safe, happy, and meticulously cared for. I am currently working part time, so my schedule is completely flexible and I am available practically all day every day. The only time a scheduling conflict might come into play is if I am out of town. I have a senior dog who requires a lot of medicine daily to keep her going. I have been taking care of her and making sure she gets her daily walks in even though she’s slowing down. I am very attentive and am able to notice if something is off or wrong with most animals. I also just love all animals so deeply and absolutely adore spending time with them.
“Sarah is new to our dog, Bailey, today. Having only first met Sarah, we are impressed. She asked questions demonstrating experience with caring for animals and particularly job. We are comfortable after meeting with a Drop-In visit, that we can rely on Sarah for her soon visit for the next appointment.”

About: I have lots of experience over the last 15 years of pet-sitting in other's homes and boarding family members' pets, as well as going for walks and doing pop-ins Currently changing careers from teaching to real estate, so I have lots of time available over the summer! I can easily to pop-ins and walks while out and about. Whatever you say goes! I am happy to accommodate the needs of your fur babies and will do everything I can to make sure they feel loved and cared for while you're not around
“Sarah was great and took good care of our boys. She made sure they went out, got some exercise, and secured them in their crates before leaving our home. She provided great communications and pictures during her drop-in visit. Would definitely utilize her again.”

“Scott was just amazing! He took great care of our pet while we were away. He is very friendly, open to suggestions and is a great communicator (and quick!). His professionalism all in all is awesome. I would definitely hire him again.”

Willing to walk, play, feed, water, administer basic medications or just provide companionship. Trustworthy, compassionate and reliable. I currently work Monday to Friday but have open availability all day on weekends as well as weekdays after 6pm. I have my own dog and cat as well. I do live in an apartment so would be limited to one dog in my home. I have a 24 pound Cavachon who is friendly with all dogs. I walk my dog multiple times a day and would give yours the same care. I also have a medium kennel if your dog requires that for short absences if that is an option. At a clients home I can play with the pet in a fenced yard or offer 30-60 minute walks multiple times a day. Will feed, play, clean up after pottying, and will give your pet plenty of love and pets!!

“Katie is an excellent pet sitter and helped us with two kitties. Her help brought peace of mind and the first time for me finding a sitter on Rover. She always sent me updates and photos and took really good care of our pets. Highly recommend Katie!”

About: Hi, my name is Kayla and here is a little bit about me! I am a senior at Oakland University studying human resource management and currently work part time as an HR intern. Alongside, I used to head coach for Lake Orion's dance team! Some hobbies of mine include going for long walks, cooking, working out, or spending time with friends and family. I am looking for a part time job I can do on the days I don't work at my internship. I would be happy to help in anyway possible! I have 4 years of experience with pet care. I have pet sat for an 11 yo golden retriever and a 2 yo husky mix. I grew up with two chihuahuas and my family now currently has two siamese kittens that are 3 years old! I just recently got an apartment in Rochester and unfortunately no longer live with my cats, which has me missing being around and taking care of animals! I can board, perform baths, take for walks, play time, bathroom care, and assist with proper feeding schedules. As it is summer, I am not currently in school. I currently work part time as an intern at an automotive supplier. As interns are not able to be full time and I just recently got an apartment in Rochester, I am looking for another job I can do on the side. I love animals, love going for walks and working out, and currently miss my pets I had back home before I moved out. I felt like this would be the perfect opportunity for me! My schedule is free any other time that I am not working, which is flexible and most of the time remote. I also get an hour lunch at work that I am able to leave the office if need be. I am willing to communicate and work something out if need be for any reason! I have a very outgoing, fun, and playful personality with pets! They will feel very welcomed and safe in my space. I do not have any pets at my apartment currently so they, and you do not need to worry about that. My apartment has a really great dog park at it, as well as many great areas to walk and play! Rochester is perfect for having a pet. I also have a very clean and tidy apartment perfect for a pet to spend time at if needed!
“This is our first time using Rover. Introduced Frank to are 2 dogs before deciding that he was a great fit for us. I have an 18 year old deaf 45 pound mutt. My son has a 5 year old 60 pound Alaskan Shepherd that he rescued. We believe she had a hard life till now. It takes a while for her to earn your trust, but once she does, she is such a sweet and loving girl. Frank took his time and let her trust him at her own pace and are now friends. We had Frank come every day while I was gone and my son was working. He fed them, let them out and played with our Shepard and gave love and pettings to my old boy. He sent us pictures and updates every day on how they were doing. We were very happy with Frank. We are planning on requesting him in a couple of weeks while I'm gone again. We highly recommend using Frank for your pets.”
About: I have been caring for household pets since I was a kid. I would watch pets for family and neighbors while they were out of town. Or just stopping by during the day to walk the dog and make sure they are fed and happy. Currently I volunteer at the Michigan Humane Society as a member of the behavior modification group. I have 2 dogs of my own (Ferda and Cruz) they are both large dogs 105 and 65 lbs, so I am very comfortable with dogs of all sizes and temperament's. I am also fully able to safely walk multiple dogs at once and make sure they stay under control. I have earned a Canine Specialist certificate through SCI as well as a certificate in animal first aid and CPR through ProPetHero. Along with having fun with your dog I can also bathe and brush your dog if needed, whether your dog is muddy and stinky or just needs a basic shed brushing I can provide a calm relaxing experience for your dog. I still currently am working part time cooking in order to cover my bills, but my goal is to be able to leave that industry and work full time in pet care and training. I am available Wednesday- Friday anytime in the morning until 2 pm and at any time on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday. Soon there will be more times available. I have a fully fenced in yard with 2 friendly dogs who love to play fetch and tug. They also value their rest time. I am able to crate your dog if needed and also have a separate room that is set aside for a cat living area full of toys and climbable cat trees and wall mazes, or for a dog training room as needed.

Tyler was great! He was very friendly, easy to work with, and did great with my pets. He was flexible when I scheduled a meet and greet before the visit, and my pets immediately liked him, which says a lot, in my opinion! We would definitely recommend him as a sitter for anyone in the area!

Stephanie did a great job watching our GSP. Pictures were sent every day and it was clear to see he was getting attention and great play time. There was no issues with the holiday making the trip away more relaxed. She was flexible and communicated well as she did what was needed with her schedule keeping our pups needs in mind. Would recommend her and will be rebooking for our next trip.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Rochester with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
